This little hotel has been nicely refurbished...with a good location
postage stamp size room, not air conditioned, noisy
bed sleeping, nice bed to rest.
Staff did not know where there were bus stop, or almost any other cuestion.
I liked the location And the front desk.
Breakfast was poor and the room was really tiny
The Hotel was good for what I needed and that was just a place to sleep after a networking event that was running late and I did not want to drive after
The Hotel was very old and I had a hard time trying to even find an outlet for my phone to charge. The heat was not central and looked dangerous to use. The room and everything about the hotel felt very old
The lady at the front desk was warm and welcoming. The room was clean, the bed was OK, you could take a good relaxing shower too. The location was convenient.
The pictures are definitely misleading, we couldn't believe that it's the same hotel that we booked once we got there. Everything in the room was very very old and not appealing, the room was too small and no desk, not enough power outlets. The breakfast was kinda disappointing, just coffee, toast, butter, milk and oatmeal. They don't have any staff for breakfast. The WiFi was absolutely useless. It was not at all worth the price.
My boyfriend and I travelled for the marathon. I love the classic style and feel of this place. My only issue is during our last night there was a bug in the bathroom and I was a little freaked out about that but overall the value and location was great!
Good hotel with a nice touch of victorian style. Good location, clean hotel. Complimentary vine and cheese every evening.
The look of the hotel was nice. It looks renew from outside and most floor were redone. Room size was ok,
No AC, poor breakfast, noisy and surrounding not the safest, few homeless around. Too may furniture in small room, with sink in the room instead of in the restroom, which was not really hygienic. Old carpet and very dark room.
Room was clean and comfortable with a lovely bathroom. Good facilities and bath robes.
Not a cheap hotel and does not have parking.
Location excellent, room small but comfortable and clean. Some reception staff excellent, some could demonstrate more concern.
Breakfast! This is not good. Absolutely nothing to prevent an immediate improvement in unappetising sliced bread, one, two slice toaster to serve a whole dining room and stale pastries. We skipped it and took breakfast elsewhere.
The neighborhood was sketchy, vehicle parking was two blocks away, noisy due to window facing the street, pictures on the web we're a bit deceiving, the bed was squeaky and there was no AC.
The hotel itself, the breakfast was mediocre. Room was good value.
The staff was very friendly.
The elevator was not working on the morning we had to check out. We had to carry 5 large suitcases down 3 flights of stairs. The elevator was not working two other times during our 5 day stay. Breakfast did not include any protein and breakfast room was very warm- around 80 degrees.
Very good location, about 10 minutes walk from Union Square and other major shopping stores. The Queen Standard room was big enough, with a wlak-in closet, comfy bed and good lightning. Continental breakfast was included: quite poor selection of food but good quality, so it was coffee. Friendly and helpful staff.
Our room was located in a quiet area but we could hear noises from other rooms, ig a house party on Saturday night.
It's a very small room and old hotel.
The location, walking distance to shopping area and China Town. Shot drive to airport
Room facing street, noise disturbance at night. Not having air condition - night time was very warm. Room was very small.
Loved the decor
We found bed bugs in our bed. Informed the front desk and asked him to make sure house keeping changed all linen and gave it a big vacuum. He didn't seem concerned at all. And answered with a simple "ok". Bed linen was NOT changed.
Very warm in SF and room very stuffy
The room had a beautifully renovated bathroom and we felt safe there .
Elevater could use a bit of a repair though we loved the antiquity of it.
Location and price
The front desk staffs are friendly and helpful.
The room is too small and there is no air-conditioning in the room. Placing the microwave oven on a mini-fridge and leave them in passage way inside the room is a bad idea. It is not convenient to find a place to park your car if you are driving.
Everything was just perfect. Thank you!
Ambience was lovely, great furnishings, very comfortable bed. Penthouse room off the garden patio with terrific views, very reasonable price.
Needs some work... handle of hot water tap came off in my hand, no handle on the tap in the shower. Lights it the bathroom are on a motion sensor that does not reach the shower so we ended up taking showers in the dark. What they REALLY need is a sign that says quiet hours on the garden patio.
Sink in room. Old building. Old elevator. One plug beside the bed and it was completely awkward to reach.
