I owned a home in Jackson in the seventies, so returning to the Valley and visiting dear friends who still live there was an emotional experience for me. The weather, scenery from Munich where we stayed, accommodations, comfort, cleanliness, and Mountain Club facilities truly were extraordinary. We can't wait to return to the Nordic Village.
The only comment that I can make would be to train your front desk to be more welcoming. On every encounter there was a lack of eye contact, personality, or feeling that it really IS their job to be nice to their guests. They were "doing their job", but in this business, it often times is the little extras that can leave an impression. We returned back to our Unit after dinner one night to no electricity. It was fixed at 2 AM, but no call the following AM to find out how we were? They were only calling throughout the 3 day stay for the Cable guys to get into our Unit. We didn't want to work around their schedule, and figured why don't they just come when the Unit is not occupied?
Really large appartment with everything to cook a good meal - superb pools all 3 of them. Barbecue outside property
Air con struggled a bit to keep it really cool in the bedroom but did enough
The location is perfect- quiet, nestled in a woodsy mountainside but close by to shopping/groceries/restaurants. Room was beautiful and had everything we could have asked for, full kitchen was well equipped, views were amazing, and location very private. Grounds were gorgeous and well kept, front desk staff friendly. Lots to do!
The view is excellent. The room was well organized and the staff was friendly.
There was a small mouse running around the room. It kept us awake but it wasn't that bad. I guess this is part of staying in the mountains. The unit could use some updating.
I loved the two person jacuzzi.
I didn't like that the bedroom didn't have it's own personal door.
location courteous service beautiful view
can't think of anything negative
Our unit (K90) had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (the one upstairs has a jacuzzi), full kitchen, dining area & living room( the couch pulls out to a bed) . Only stayed one night. Very clean . Not far from Story Land & North Conway. It was raining & cool when we got there so we didn't go outside much. We did go to the Red Prka Steak House for dinner & the food was great & the service was excellent. This was the fourth time I have been up there in the last 25 years. We had a very relaxing time.We did not go to the indoor pool or to the fitness center.
No central air, but has a standalone A/C unit in the living room & there are fans in the bedroom upstairs & downstairs ( we were comfortable)..A little dated but very clean ( no stains , nothing was broken).
The "village" is amazing -- great pools, fantastic views, a wonderful lake with boats and a fountain that was so fun to play in on a hot early fall day.
The two-bedroom apartment we had was very spacious and had nice views but was really depressingly outdated and in need of refurbishment.
This was the perfect place to stay to visit storyland with my 3 children. The condo was clean and had everything we needed, was very convienient to storyland and the pools and evening entertainment was a nice extra. We stayed in a two bedroom condo, and it was plenty big for our family of 5.
Decor in the condo was a little bit dated.
Security feature. Proximity to activities. Nice pools.
Steam room not working. Ceilings in rooms, need a bit of repair as well as chairs in the room.
Room size was great and plenty of privacy. Loved the evening fire
Room needed updates very cluttered less is better
Swimming outdoor in heated pool while it's rainy comfortable suits beautiful landscape sense of home not hotel
the kitchen doesnt have cooker
The decor was tasteful done. Everything was clean and welcoming. My family had a wonderful experience. .
Great location. View of the mountains is very nice.
Dishes were dirty. Oven had quite a bit of grease. Almost caused a fire. Quite a bit of dust on the furniture.
Overall, Nordic Village has a lot to offer. Great amenities, beautiful pools, close proximity to area activities. The condo is dated, but reasonably comfortable.
Couch, all beds & pillows!
Noisy upstairs neighbors, hard mattress
Very nice and quiet place. Everything was excellent and we will return for sure.
Great location. The townhomes are big and compfy. The pool was great and not too crowded. Activites were great too. We have a young girl and she got to meet Cinderella and friends at Nordic Village, which was great because we missed her at Storyland.
Location Indoor pool and outdoor heated pool
Needs renovation - very dated, furniture is uncomfortable due to wear, had an off-smell, no AC in bedroom
That it had a gate and only visitors of the facility can get in.
That I was in a basement.
Jacuzzi tub was an added bonus.
Linens for the pull out couch were suppose to be in the unit but weren't. I contacted the office and housekeeping brought them over. Glad I noticed early on and not when we wanted to go to bed. Three out of the five lights over the bathroom sink were out.
Great condo. Nice adult pool but pool area run down. Railing to jacuzzi wobbly. Deck cement broken up and gates need repair. Gym excellent. Gardening beautiful.
The room/condo had many of the comforts of home and was very clean. My kids especially loved the huge tub
Too hot. The main floor was very comfortable but the air conditioning didn't work well enough to adequately cool the bedrooms. Also, we didn't have any daily housekeeping. I'm not sure if this is the norm or maybe just an oversight on our visit.
We used to stay here when our four children were small and we weren't sure they would still like it but we had a blast It's great for a big family
The pools closed at 930 Which is early for older children
The staff was very friendly and accommodating
Booked the penthouse which was described as honeymoon favorite woke to screaming children before 7:30 (lovem! Have 7 ourselves but wasn't expecting that!) balcony was almost rotted with chips everywhere very run down two cheap plastic chairs out there a little table would've been nice not nearly as appealing as pic showed. Most irritating was coming home from dinner at 10:30 Friday evening and having to sit in the car in the pouring rain waiting for a parking spot to become available called the front desk and was told to park on the grass somewhere but didn't see anywhere safe that we felt comfortable leaving the car nearest spots where down two steep hills outside adult pool area beautiful but unfortunately some very rude guests so stayed only 10 minutes. Hate to make complaints never did this before, but relish our vacation time and just too many negatives about this place
