The Inn keepers were gracious and friendly. When we could NOT use the ice machine, they got the ice FOR us.
1. No bottled water. 2. Ice machine located in dark, so no way to know that room key was needed for ice. 3. Soda machine broken. We were informed that it has been broken for a long while. 4. Water did not go down in tub.
The bed was VERY comfortable, and the TV was very nice with lots of good channels. It is very close to the highway (I had already anticipated the highway noise so, while it was present, I expected it). It is very apparent that the owners have put some time in remodeling the rooms. The room was clean. I spent a lot of time researching hotels in that area, and value wise I was not disappointed.
The walls are thin (I only primarily noticed this in the bathroom when I could hear the couple next door talking). There was no bathroom fan which made the bathroom a muggy mess after showering. We were locked out of our room twice because our keys deactivated (both of them, both times), but the front desk is 24 hrs, so it was promptly rectified without hassle. Amenities were overstated; however, we had everything we needed.
Somehow the room is unleveled and when we lay down in bed it was tilt towards one side...weird
Generous sized rooms with good beds and modern bathrooms and efficient ac.
Breakfast was rather basic.
Very nice staff and accommodating.
location was a little rough. Not the best neighborhood.
clean and presentable, good hot shower with no funny smells, crisp fresh linens, a decent bed, good parking, easy access to San Raphael and the 101/580 interchange, Nice people running the place. Simple free breakfast.
Lots of hi-way road noise due to location, people smoking in the parking lot.
bed TV cleanliness
no late check out available
I liked the location of the property. It is conveniently located near the freeway, shopping and restaurants.
friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed and pillows, nice window covering and bed linens were soft and smooth, of good quality, recessed lighting, tile and countertops nice natural stone, refrigerator and microwave, flatscreen TV, coffeemaker in room, room quiet even though close to freeway.
No soap or body wash only shampoo and lotion and conditioner, iron leaked badly, wall in bathroom was deteriorating because of water damage, counter space was small, breakfast should have been advertised as continental breakfast since it was only rolls, juice and coffee/tea. Also breakfast hours extended only until 9:00, should extend at least until 10:00. Weekends are for sleeping in. We were at a wedding the night before and out late.
Room had been recently re done .
The concierge did not advise me that I had left my charge card at the desk. She should have called the room , left a message as she was aware that I left it when I came to look. Bad form. Mice in the walls kept us awake in the night!
Convenience, location, small size
Continental breakfast wasn't much
Convenient to our travel needs in San Rafael.
Noisy rooms, poor parking, next to highway, poor breakfast, a very tired facility. Staff need to learn to smile - when interacting I felt like we were bothering them.
The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The room had everything we needed.... refrig, microwave, coffee pot, alarm clock, hair dryer. Very nice shower with shampoo and soap despencers.
Very small parking lot.
The bed was very comfortable.
The parking lot is very small and hard to navigate in a large truck. It appears to be near water but there is no water visible.
It was close to the bus center. The staff was very accommodating. The place was clean. The coffee shop behind it gave the best coffee!
The curtain was torn. A drawer refused to close. No swimming pool. Not close to good restaurants.
staff was rude and seemed put out to have guests. people arguing at night in the parking lot. rooms 100 feet from the freeway.
Our King suite (king bed plus a sofa sitting area) was very comfortable and roomy. I was afraid it would be noisy because of the highway 101 and busy frontage road right next to the hotel, but the room was very quiet. Oftentimes hotels in this price range have loud and clunky air conditioners, but this one had a quiet and very functional air conditioner. The TV was flat screen (nice again) and there was a fridge (another plus). Anita (front desk staff person) was extremely helpful, kind, patient and is a huge asset to that hotel's efficiency. I heard her on the phone with someone trying to book a room and she was great. I also had a problem with my booking (all my fault), but Anita took care of me. There is a great coffee shop right next to the property. My husband and I agreed we would stay there again.
The parking is very tight and the breakfast is fairly skimpy - but for the money, this was a great deal.
Park car outside room, quiet (no traffic noise at all), comfortable beds, table with chairs, good shower, large flat TV. Good coffee cafe next store for morning wake up.
The front desk asked to photocopy my driver's license during checkin (never had to do that anywhere I have ever stayed!?).
Price paid for 3 stars for a 2 stars motel
quiet, clean, not too much light through window, bed comfortable
ceiling CFC light flashed while off - had to remove bulb; shower nozzle way to high for low-flow so not enough pressure to rinse shampoo out of hair
The air conditioner was quiet.
We reserved a room with a king size bed but our room, despite being a king room, had a queen size bed, which was disappointing.
Good jumping off place for Muir Woods or taking the Larkspur ferry to San Fran.
Basic place to sleep. No breakfast to speak of. Also no tissues in the room.
This hotel is a stone's throw from the freeway. I'd that didn't keep you awake, you could hear every toilet next to you or above you flushing and refilling. We checked in at 5 pm and then went to dinner. When we got back a couple hours later, there was NO parking. We were told that we could park at the coffee shop next to it, but at 7 am we were called and told to move it, and a nasty note was attached to the window. This is a bad part of town. There were two men loitering when we got back for the night. I was surprised the vehicle was still there in the morning. Spend a little more and be worrying all night.
Clean. Well kept and modern with all necessary for business traveler.
Room smelled funny.
