The hostess in the dining room for breakfast and brunch didn't smile & acted as though seating us at a table with a view (a couple were available) was an imposition. On Saturday, we thought maybe she was having a bad day, but she was the same at brunch on Sunday.
Everything about the hotel is wonderful.
A very small downfall was the room being a little too warm. We kept the heat off and cracked the window a bit. That definitely helped.
This hotel was immaculate with a quaint and cozy feel. The food was excellent and staff were wonderful.
Loved this place but rooms need updating as with the fitness center..
Location, staff, price, food especially their Sunday Brunch and daily free breakfast.
I didn't like that we couldn't control the heat. The room was very hot and dry. We went to use the pool early afternoon and it was covered.
The hotel is in a great location. we went to go snoshoeing. We were able to go across the street from the hotel. The staff was excellent. The breakfast was great.
Place smelled of water damage mold. Place needs face lift inside how Long has it been. Kids week and they kept closing pool
Liked my room keeper she did good job. View was nice. Food was tasty.Bar keep was nice. Staff was generally friendly.
i wish I could have stayed longer!
Great place to stay, I can't wait to go back! The view from our room was gorgeous. I could see Cranmore mountain from my bed!
Comfort. Quiet. Clean
that I couldn't stay more than two nights !!!!!!
the facility and staff were EXCELLENT... had a superior king room on top floor with view looking toward cranmore and N. Conway village....VERY CLEAN. there is a GREAT tavern in the inn to have a drink and dinner after a long day of being outdoors !!!!! outdoor hot tub is GREAT also...OVERALL I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ANYONE THAT WANTS TO BE AWAY FROM THE TRAFFIC.. YOU WONT REGRET IT !!!!!!
I honestly can't think of anything
....and this hotel delivered big time. The staff was incredibly gracious, Maureen at the front desk helped with everything , from giving us some great advice about local attractions to sorting out a dinner reservation. Dennis the manager personally made sure we had a beautiful dinner on our last night even though due to our late reservation, we almost missed it. The heated pool is a do not miss, after a day of snowmobiling and tubing, to be sitting in that pool under the stars was simply amazing. The king suite was cozy, clean and very romantic. I couldn't have asked for more
Double beds too small.
My wife and I wish that we had more time to spend at White Mountain. The staff, facilities and food were outstanding . A beautiful setting.
We liked everything! It's in such a beautiful place with great views. The staff there is great. It was all good!!!
A/C did not work. We were brought a fan for the rest of our night at full rate. No discount for sweating all night.
Just a tip - Satnav takes you past entrance and travelling from North Conway you can't see the hotel sign. Realising we'd gone wrong we retraced route and it was clear to see when travelling in opposite direction
Long picturesque drive up to hotel. Friendly staff and really nice that the Manager was always about and making sure that things ran well. Ate in the Bar and the Restaurant - same menu in both and the food was very good. Comfy beds - loved our stay
We booked a Superior King room. The room itself was fine, but not impressive. Had I known, I wouldn't have added the extra charge for the king and gotten a single queen room instead. Just not worth it. The quality and appearance of the room left much to be desired as the plaster on the walls in both the main room and bathroom were cracked/peeling and marked all over. Hairs from a previous guest were also decorating the shower walls. The hotel site does not mention that the golf course/country club uses the hotel as the "club house". Even the pro shop is in the hotel. The atmosphere of the hotel in general was "stuffy". Majority of the guests we saw were probably 45+ and as a young couple, although we didn't mind, we felt out of place. We went to eat in the Tavern our first night and everyone was dressed in "business casual" attire with sports coats and slacks. Definitely not a place I wanted to be after traveling for 3 1/2 hours and wanting a quick meal before bed. The hotel was fine, especially since we didn't spend much time there. But as a young couple, we won't be staying there again.
The hotel location was great. It is only a few short minutes from the center of town and close to some of the great attractions the areas has to offer (Diana's Bath, Cathedral Ledge, Echo Lake). The views surrounding the hotel were beautiful. The sheer quietness and peacefulness of the area definitely added to the "mountain getaway" feel. All in all the outside of the hotel was lovely.
Double beds-not queen in rooms
Staff was great. Food was great. Property had beautiful garden and walking paths.
It was very nice and easy
Beautiful setting, comfortable beds...would stay there again!
Sunday brunch was very busy and not a good time to arrive at the hotel
Location next to a golf course means that you are away from busy roads - and have nice views to the mountains. Food in the restaurant was good as was the service both here and in the hotel in general
only a weekend stay Would stay longer next time.
Over priced. You were paying for amenities heated pool sauna, etc. that we just didn't use. Not really good for a one nite stay.
Views were wonderful. Food good but not great
Coffee was not replenished and used cups and glasses were not replaced with clean ones.
The view was wonderful. The location is excellent because it is not in all the craziness, but it is close enough to North Conroy to shop easily and close enough to Mt. Washington, waterfalls and covered bridges to see the sights.
There was nothing NOT to like at White Mountain Resort.
For the price we paid it was absolutely perfect in every way. On a 10 day trip we booked almost every hotel on booking.com and this one was the best deal overall. Well above average.
