This place has so much potential but has not been kept up. The beds are platform beds with no springs so they are hard as a rock. The sheets and towels looked clean so that was a plus. The pillows are flat and several of us bought pillows at the nearby target. The elevators go out of order on occasion and you have to either wait for the better part of an hour for repairs or go up to a higher floor and take a few flights of stairs back down...right as you return from running a half marathon. The Kitchen area was clean, but none of the dishes or silverware were. It looked like they just got put back in the cupboard after the last people left without any cleaning. The glasses had leftover juice solidified in them. Plates had caked on food. Pots and pans had water soaking in them. It was disgusting. The bathroom had a lot of mildew around the edges. We all wore shower shoes for fear of what cooties we would get. We did enjoy our time in Chicago but we didn't spend a lot of time in the room. The front desk staff is not friendly at first but if you talk to them nicely they warm up to you.
Location is the only positive about this place. I was there with a group of girlfriends to run the Chicago half marathon. We were glad to have a close spot to the race. All amenities were awful.

Facility lied about having access to working ac in rooms - coolest it got was 86 degrees at 4 am, which we know because we could not sleep lying in a tangle of sweaty sheets (and no cross breeze due to buildings across from windows). We were literally puking and even passing out the whole time. On top of that, housekeeping never responded to a single request, and neither maintenance, nor the company itself returned a single (daily) phone call - about the sauna-like conditions of the room, the overall level of filth, lack of wi-fi connection, the roaches, lack of pillows, etc. - oh, and did I mention you are expected to pay a cleaning fee, clean your room thoroughly (vacuum, take out the trash, etc.) or pay an additional cleaning fee, and meanwhile you are greeted with carpet caked in particulates and dust bunnies, roaches, and previous tenants' receipts for lube? The company sublets the room from the building, and the staff on site are not affiliated with the hotel and - with the exception of one woman - don't take kindly to being asked any questions concerning your hotel stay.
The hotel was in a great location relative to the conference we were attending (with plenty to do in the area in the daytime). The kitchen amenities were convenient.

It was 90 degrees in the room because the heat could not be turned off even though it was sunny in lare April. Even with windows open and freezer door open it never dropped below 90!
Only the location

I needed to find other place in my second night there because I couldn't sleep at all the first two night. The room was below the air conditioning machine of a building of 23 floor. The sound and the temperature (under 80•F) was completely awful. I cannot recommend this place at all!!

Be aware that magnificent old building does not have perfectly functioning air-conditioning, and the plumbing is undergoing repairs. Take care not to let shower water escape and soak the adjacent floor and wall. Keep drain closed when you shower so hair does not go down the drain. Protect this gem of a building
Gorgeous Chicago building of distinction and historical importance only a block from the lakefront parks. Private, quiet, no fuss. Open the window for a cool breeze. Great introduction to Chicago architecture and culture and feels like home--especially if, like me, you grew up in a beautiful old house. Reminded me of staying in a palace in Europe.

The room I was given DID NOT look anything like the ones in the photos. The kitchen was good. The bed was stuffed in a cubby hole. There were no nightstands or dressers. The light was minimal, difficult to read. The front desk can't help with anything. You have to call and when you do no one comes to fix it. The thermostat didn't work. It was 87 degrees in the room for 4 days.
You can walk right out the door and you're in the loop.

Bed sheets didn't look like clean, cause found hair. Wi-fi and cable did not work at all, and we called management and left a message, but no one returned the call at all during our stay (4 days). Air conditioning did not work - it was hot in the apartment. Found smth like blood on the walls in the living room and in the kitchen sink. It wasn't "city view" like stated, all you could see is the other side of the same building. It was hard to find the building because there was no sign stating "SP Suites" and nobody to call to ask where its at (number provided by booking.com didn't respond, when you call all you get is answering machine. its the same number for wifi as well)
Location is good, near the Millennium Park, though it was hard to find the building because there was no sign stating "SP Suites". The actual building was Fornelli Towers.

Very difficult to sleep because the room was so hot. Unable to open windows further and air conditioner barely worked and was as loud as a jet engine.
Great location and price. Also full kitchen, but i think having an unnecessay full size refrigerator added to the heat in a tiny space.

The fact the don't have a parking lot and that it is not free like your promotion said
April 26, 2015
The apartment is adequate, not fancy. Plastic kitchen utensils, a kitchen cabinet door was missing, sad ironing board, etc. **but it was also clean and tidy.**
The location and size of this apartment were perfect for our needs (6 colleagues in town for a week long conference). We were right next to the beautiful park, bars, restaurants, the L, and convenience stores.

Aircondition was horrific. The building was heated and the room was 85 degree with no way of cooling it down
April 20, 2015
The heat of the room was unbearable and after the first night I mentioned it to the staff and they opened a window but it was still uncomfortably hot. I live in a hot part of Australia and I'm used to warm nights but this room was something else! Very disappointing considering that otherwise the apartment was absolutely fine for a short-term stay in central Chicago.
The location, price and the large room.
April 20, 2015
Wifi was coming and going and the air conditioning did not worked properly.
Location, confort, amenities.
April 19, 2015
NO WI-FI and NO AIR CON as advertised, it seams the other residents were fobbed off with the same excuse we were given. The apartment has never seen a hoover, under the beds there were empty beer bottles,
The central location was the best part of the property, only 30 minutes from the airport, buses and trains were just 1 minute walk from the apartment.
April 16, 2015
Heating was far too hot in the building and I had to switch it off in the apartment for comfort
April 16, 2015
Note so they can fix- Apt had two showers. The one off of the master is broken- spews water everywhere. Takes "no frills" to a new level. One coffee cup. One glass, etc. Simple things (like paint) would make such a difference
Love the location, good space, comfortable bed, and fully funcational
April 9, 2015
Not really clean, some electric sockets did not work, the kitchen utensils were almost unusable
Convenient location in the city centre

They charge you 120$ cleaning fee but the room was dirty. We found pop corn and a sock under the bed. And don't expect to get clean towels everyday because you won't. We used the same towels for the whole stay. The wifi connexion was working but slowly.
March 28, 2015
We've been charge $120 for clean service. But no one have come to clean the room for four nights!
Great location, large TV, comfort bed
March 17, 2015
Little bit noise, because of trains.
Absolutely great location. Fair price.
March 17, 2015
Unable to adjust the room temperature
Easy to get on train lines, close to Millanium Park, Art Institute of Chicago and opposite Culture Centre. Appreciate the free WiFi, friendly staff
March 15, 2015
Kitchen poorly stocked with glasses, silverware, plates. Very noisy due to proximity to elevated trains. Didn't respond to repeated requests for paid receipt.
Close to train, Millenium Park, restaurants. lakefront, shopping, 2 BR/2 BA
