I had a one bedroom apartment which was ideal for myself.
I requested an early check in when I arrived I was told no to the check in so I showed them my booking request which stated an early check in was OK. Room wasn't ready so was told house keeping would clean it immediately. An hour later I was told management said I couldn't check in and had to wait till 4.30pm. There was plenty to do and see so I wasn't hanging around but the whole check in thing was a bit if a joke, when I eventually checked in the room key didn't work so it was a bit if a pain going up and down the lift with luggage in tow to get a key. I was given a master key to access the room and asked to bring it back to the reception once I had opened the door which I agreed to but I needed the bathroom so before I had time to return it the lady on the reception was banging in the door and was very rude to me. No toilet roll in the bathroom so take your own. A/C was very noisy and had to turn it off in the night.
It was spacious enough, the bathroom and fixture dated but functional
2 coffee cups for 4 people!!! Bad fitting bed sheets No hair drier eventuates after 4 days of trying and then we left !!
Location super super Bad, bath, kitchen super Price sup:)
Internet, TV, aircondition fair
*Location, Location, Location *The reception staff were friendly
*Hairs in the bed *Cleanliness of the bathroom
The location is excellent; as the name states it is very close to Millennium Park. The old building is a gem; the lifts are scary though.
We booked this on the travellers whim of serendipity and was indeed surprised by what we found! The bed was made with DIRTY laundry and a bed spread still containing other people's hair! We requested clean sheets, yet at a great expense to ourselves went to buy clean bedding and towels also as we were not trusting those either (luckily Macy's had a 1 day only sale on our arrival). We opted to take in as much of this great city as possible, and kept sleeping there to a minimum. We did not expect a hotel concierge but the security guard that assisted with the checking in can at least be friendlier.
noice in the room
cleaning noise staff beds
Just be aware that this is NOT a hotel with daily services and a concierge desk (this is also made very clear when booking/confirming the rooms). If you simply want a place to rest your head and use the place as more of a "landing pad", this is a good solution. Awesome location, centrally located to Millenium Park, the museums, Magnificent Mile, and rail access. It was very easy to get around. In the room (2bed/2bath) there was a full-size refrigerator, sink, microwave, and coffee maker... also an iron and hair dryer. It was nice to know there were laundry facilities around the corner from our room.
The only thing is the early check-out time of 10am. If you're flying later in the afternoon, make plans for stowing your luggage... which you can do in the lobby of the building, but it's not secure so at your own risk. (We didn't have a problem with this, there's security personnel seated close-by). Not that it bothered us much, but the building is older with thinner walls and non-soundproof windows. We were on the 19th floor and still heard the el-train, but so tired from running around we slept right through it. Lighter sleepers may have a harder time with this. There were some repair issues with our room (closet doors, toilet roll holder), but it's a simple call to the management company to let them know about it... again, it wasn't going to ruin our stay.
Location was excellent, easy to get to from O'Hare Airport and easy walking distance to sights and shops. We had the three bedroom apartment which was bright and spacious and did what it said on the tin !
Apartment was a little shabby, could do with a lick of paint, kitchen equipment, cups, plates etc were very poor. Cleaning fee of $120 is very dear.
Amazing location, spacious apartments
Dirty, kitchen was greasy, some lights breakers were out of order, bedclothes was old, yellow and tear.
The location was AMAZING!!! The room itself was small but we knew that going into it and were still surprised by how well they made the small space work to include a kitchen in it. The bed was super comfortable which also surprised me.
The only down fall to our stay was that our room was at a constant 72 degrees. We tried to crack the windows and turn down the thermostat but nothing we did worked. I don't know if it had to do with having the appliances in the room or the fact that we were on the 19th floor of the building or maybe a combo of a few things but that part was a little uncomfortable at times.
Wifi was advertised as being available in the rooms, but the signal strength was nonexistent. I inquired about it with the staff and they confirmed it was weak and easily overload by the building’s occupants. This was a blatant false hood in their advertisement on the website. As a business traveler wifi access is essential.
Location is really good, nearly close to everything in the loop and very close to magnificent mile. The apartment has lots of places to shop very close to it (Macys, Walgreens, Starbucks, etc.) and it is only 2 blocks away from subway station taking you directly to O' Hare. The size of the apartment was really good (2 beds), we felt really comfortable. Beds were good sized and comfortable, kitchen will all corresponding appliances (fridge, microwave, etc.). We asked for an extra bed one month in advance and the bed was there when we arrived.
Staff was really unfriendly (we didn't really met anybody from the apartments, only the security person at the building who is in charge of giving you the keys). We arrived a little bit early (1:00 PM) and they didn't let us into the apartment, even though it was empty. The funny thing was that we arrived back at the building at 4:20 and they made us look at the clock counting the seconds until 4:30 when they did let us into the room. They mentioned "that is the rule", but certainly not the way to treat guests who pay a lot of money for the apartment (if the apartment is ready what is the point of having us on the outside). Wifi didn't work at all (the devices connected but it was impossible to open something as the speed was really slow). The apartment was dirty (sheets, floors, etc.). We are not that strict about clean hotels, but the apartment was clearly dirty. Elevators were not working, so waiting time in average was more than 5 minutes to get to the 20th floor.
Closeness to the Millennium Park Efficient air-conditioning Cheerful, helpful management Prompt attention from the apartment owner when necessary.
Noisy air-conditioning The door lock caused us problems - partly because we took a while to get used to the keycard, but there was a problem with the lock mechanism, which needed some maintenance.
In the middle of all the great restuarants, shopping and night life. One block from the park where the jazz festival was held. Everything was good.
Name was not on registration log. luckily I had printed a copy of registration confirmation. Cant check in until 4:30 on the DOT, very inconveint. Very small room and one bed, thought I was getting double bed but had to get around in tight space
Position within the Chicago loop, a lot of space, big fridge,
Most of the bulbs were not functional
TV Kitchen set
Everything expect location Dirty Untidy very hot AC noisy bad staff communication bad staff attitude expensive I really don't want to waste more time putting my review, its the worst place ever. I don't recommend anyone to go except if you are not going to sleep or stay
Excellent location, good bed, good kitchen utilities, very spacious apartment
Terrible air conditioning, even thought they charge you a cleaning fee the room should have been more clean. You could hear the metro tracks.
The receptionists were not friendly The service was poor. I complained of burnt bulbs which were not changed. Instead bulbs were brought to the apartment for me to change. The kitchen was a mess. The stove was dirty, the toaster was faulty, the coffee maker was bad, the vacuum cleaner was inoperable so could not clean the room.
We liked where all was centrally located. We liked the bed. We liked the speed of the elevator.
#1.....the poor response to my emails and phone calls. The latter included being transferred to a recording that phone was disconnected. The failure of communication gave me the fear the apartment was a scam. #2.... The really bad toilet paper. It was a half ply, if that. Really cheap! #3..... The last was poor reception for the TV, looked rough at best.
The staff were horrible. They lost our deliverd shipments and they were of any support to find them. The AC had a horrible loud voice. Kitchen tools were plastic! The location is great and the apartment is big enough
Perfectly located next to millenium park with easy reach to all sights. Nice, comfy room, lovely to have a fridge and kitchen for eating in. Place felt secure. Great wi-fi connexion. Would go there again, much better than a hotel!
Not the best aircon and windows didnt close, but these where minor things, really loved my stay.
The location is excellent
poor housekeeping, poor facility, no services. There is no staff to response to your request for services. You have to call a number; however no body answered
