Northside Motel - Williamstown  

We left a Kindle behind and they were more than happy to send it back to us. The staff is very welcoming and kind. Although it is close to the road, you do not hear the cars. Within walking distance to the center of town, the theater, museum, concert halls and hiking.

A tad dated. It isn't a hotel where you want to hang out but rather a good place to sleep.

we had a big room with 2 queen beds, and a sofa and 2 easy chairs, a table and chairs. It was right across from the College, which was why we were there.

there was a broken handle in the shower and I cut myself (not badly, no blood).

Bed was very comfy. Staff was very helpful and super pleasant

The staff is very friendly. The location to Williams College could not be better.

The room decor is from the 1970s. Our bathtub was 2/3 the regular size. Our mattress was quite hard. Both our lamps were broken. The office is closed by 9:00 in the evening so you need to check in early.

Wash cloths and towels were stained. Rooms very outdated - but so are most of the motels/hotels in this area.

The location was perfect: right across the street from Williams College and close to the Museum of Art and the Clark Institute (and only a short drive to MASS MoCA). The staff was friendly, everything worked well and the room was quiet, even though the walls are relatively thin.

The intense smell of cleaning product upon entering was a little too strong. The sheets were clean though showed evidence of much use. A bit threadbare and spotty.

The motel was conveniently located near my conference site and the college for those who might be in town for college purposes. The front desk staff/manager was friendly and helpful.

The motel is definitely "budget," which was fine for my purposes (I was in town for a conference at another site and only needed a place to sleep). But the facility and room itself were dated and "economy" level. I believe the website stated free WIFI but there was no information in the room about WIFI. There wasn't even a number posted on the phone or in the room for the front desk to easily inquire about WIFI. I didn't need it badly enough to walk over the office, so I let it go; it was late. I happened to look under the bed to see if something I thought I'd misplaced might be under there and it was pretty clear no vacuum had been under there in a long time.

The staff was very efficient, nice, and helpful. It was EXTREMELY convenient for visiting Williams College.

The sound from room to room travels easily. We were lucky to have a quiet group next to us, but I would think it could be noisy at times. (And I hope we didn't bother anyone.)

Good location in a lovely town.

Our room had not been properly cleaned, was dusty and had a stale smell. The lady at reception agreed and tried to change us to a better room, but we didn't think that was any better so we stayed where we were. She did offer us a small discount as compensation.

Location was good for our needs.

Bathroom only suitable for slender people. If you are overweight or have mobility issues, forget about it.

I had read some not-so-good reviews before booking but upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised to find the motel clean, friendly and in good condition.

I managed to get a good price (about $60), if it had been more expensive I may have expected better facilities.

The location was ideal to get around Williamstown and to enjoy what Williams college had to offer. Wonderful ideallyc town.

very tired motel. In need of renovation and innovation, but i doubt the business could afford it. Poor breakfast. We went in the fall so rates were high, so it was very poor value for money

Close to town centre. Nice outdoor area to sit out plus pool. Manager even came out and lit the fire pit at night and provided extra logs to keep it going.

Room was not the cleanest we have stayed in.

It is right across the street from Williams College. Very convenient for parents. Very, very basic but affordable and that is just what we needed.

The late night check-in was very convenient.

The hotel is in desperate need of updating and maintenance. It smells, looks and feels old. The air conditioner in our room was crusted with dust. If this detail is overlooked, I can only imagine how many corners were cut in terms of sanitation and cleanliness. You have a stellar location across Williams college! Spend the money to upgrade and refurbish the property to realize the full potential of your locale.

Very convenient location and pleasant atmosphere. The accomodations were pleasant, organized, and well taken care of.

Two suggestions: (1) The electrical outlet in the bathroom did not accomodate the hairdryer, or any hairdryer, as the light fixture right above it prevented it from fitting. It looked like the socket was installed upside down. (2) A facecloth was dirty. This occasionally happens and we had others to use, but I know you would want to correct that as you monitor for quality control in the future. All and all, however, a very pleasant experience and we would stay there again. Thanks.

Locatjon good directions for village eateries

Location was excellent; price was great. The accommodations were fine for the price - not fancy, but clean and comfortable.Breakfast was modest, but adequate. Didn't use the pool, but it looked nice.

Motel: Iron railings leading up to the second floor were unsafe/broken. They should be fixed right away. Williamstown: signage for local restaurants and shops could be improved. Lovely college town. We enjoyed the Farmers Market.
