Staff was very helpful and friendly. Prices are very reasonable and stay was comfortable.
No laundry room to wash your dry at.
Even though the hostel is far from Manhattan, it is very close to the subway and the L line will take you to the center in 15min. Our room (3 beds female dorms) was HUGE, we had our private living room and it was very clean. The staff is really nice and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay, Thank you very much!
Close to subway and short ride to Manhattan. Rooms were spacious and bathrooms were clean.
Noise level from outside and thin walls.
Great local area with good service and good value for money.
A little bit loud at night sometimes as my room was located near the court yard where the smoking area is located. Also a good 25 trip into the city center.
close to two subway stations property was nice very artsy area to the left nice room 20mins from manhatan including the walk to either one of the subways (L&M lines)
projects to the right, saying that we had no trouble at all poor internet connection, but it did seem to be available throughout the building just not very fast and often lost connection
Every staff are so kind. Room is wide and clean.
Far from Station. It's so hard with big luggage.
small rooms- sharing with only 2 others kitchen facilities good level of cleanliness helpful staff nice location in trendy Bushwick close to L line Subway
bed not very comfy
Spacious, clean, well-equipped rooms and common areas. We booked a 3-bed private room with en-suite bathrooms for one night. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly lovely, knowledgeable and helpful - we arrived super early in the morning & were able to place our bags in secure storage for the day. Got all the info we needed for transit, getting around, and great food & bar recommendations in the surrounding neighborhoods. They have really great maps available on the counter. Check-in/Check-out was quick and easy. Will definitely come back!
The neighborhood seemed safe (being from downtown Toronto it didn't phase us much) - but the immediate area of the hostel at night might seem a little sketch to people not used to large cities.
- Staffs were very helpful and friendly - Near the metro
Consistently friendly & helpful staff; a guest LAUNDRY is desperately needed! Guests stay BRIEFLY & don't need to schlepp it down the street in a marginal neighborhood. Beds well spaced, but pretty hard & uncomfortable.
Location just o.k., but at least relatively close to subway. Not much NOT to like, here. Definiteley one of the better NYC Hostels...
It's not very far from Manhattan, about 30-40 mins on the L line. Big spacious rooms, and I had good room mates.
Location is a bit dodgy especially at night, and it takes a while to get there via airtain. You also need to pay $3 for a towel, and there's no breakfast.
Great staff, safe place, clean room, no noise at night
Dorm rooms clean and comfy!
If you travel alone and you`re a women it`s a little bit scary at night but walking fast helped ;)
Everything was amazing.. i arrived one day earlier so i didn't expected to find anything available since it was fully booked, but to my surprise the girl at the reception was super nice and gave me the night on the same room that i already booked. She was also kind enough to point me to all the necessary places where you can do shopping or buy a really quick meal. The hostel is very clean, peaceful and quite, close to everything in town and just 15 to 20 minutes by metro to Times Square. If you want to have a decent dinner at a restaurant you can always try the Williamsburg area, which is packed with restaurants and bars with high quality services and food, accessible prices and a cozy atmosphere. I'll definitely come back and i would recommended to anyone who wants to have an enjoyable stay in NYC.
- Very nice room: 3 bed mixed dorm with private bathroom (+ air conditioning) - Awesome location, Williamsburg is the best! - Nice common areas (TV, internet, more restrooms, open air)
It is already not so cheap + you pay for every extra: towels for example... and they wanted 5 dollars for keeping my bag more than 2 hours after the checkout... I find this ridicolous... All the other hostels that I have visited in my road trip were always helpful without extra fee... it is not that much for the 5 dollars, but hey... it just doesn't look friendly...
- very friendly and helpful staff at the reception - good location, metro station 10 away from hostel - quite beautiful for a hostel
- maids were gossiping in front of guests in spanish, didnt clean too well
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The easy access to other subway lines.
We were 3 friends and the room was quite big. The whole place was clean. Also the area is ideal (there are many cafe, restaurant and bars nearby). Finally staff and owners were really kind.
-Clean, spacious facilities. -Staff helpful and knowledgeable -I stayed in a room with only three people which I think is unusual for a hostel -They provide you with maps, city tips and coffee -Interesting neighbourhood -Nice hang out areas -Feels very safe and professional -You can buy towels, padlocks and whatever you need at the reception or from a vending machine
-The only negative thing I experienced was people stealing food from the kitchen. I guess that could be expected, but still annoying. Don't do that please, people, it's very childish.
I like how they have their bathroom inside each room. --> high privacy and comfortable. I would come back here again.
The kitchen in the basement. Weird location. This place needs more advertising. The location of a hostel itself is a little weird. Not many people are around this area, trucks and cars instead. Bars, coffee shops and restaurants are located seperately. They're scatter all over, which is a little bit scared if I walk by myself at night.
Great staffs Near metro station Good rooms
clean and inexpensive very friendly staff not too noisy for being around factories definitely recommend to friends (& foes) GOOD MIX OF PEOPLE
Being awakened at 3:00 AM by bright light and loud conversation to mone in the new room-mate.
They provide the wifi and some computers. There is a public TV, public kitchen and restroom. Staff are really nice and give you enough information to visit New York.
They should provide towel. They don't have obvious signboard outside their hotel.
Peaceful sleep. Great value.
great location, friendly & helpful staff, excellent wifi, comfy bed
