Great staff, safe place, clean room, no noise at night
Dorm rooms clean and comfy!
If you travel alone and you`re a women it`s a little bit scary at night but walking fast helped ;)
- very friendly and helpful staff at the reception - good location, metro station 10 away from hostel - quite beautiful for a hostel
- maids were gossiping in front of guests in spanish, didnt clean too well
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The easy access to other subway lines.
We were 3 friends and the room was quite big. The whole place was clean. Also the area is ideal (there are many cafe, restaurant and bars nearby). Finally staff and owners were really kind.
-Clean, spacious facilities. -Staff helpful and knowledgeable -I stayed in a room with only three people which I think is unusual for a hostel -They provide you with maps, city tips and coffee -Interesting neighbourhood -Nice hang out areas -Feels very safe and professional -You can buy towels, padlocks and whatever you need at the reception or from a vending machine
-The only negative thing I experienced was people stealing food from the kitchen. I guess that could be expected, but still annoying. Don't do that please, people, it's very childish.
I like how they have their bathroom inside each room. --> high privacy and comfortable. I would come back here again.
The kitchen in the basement. Weird location. This place needs more advertising. The location of a hostel itself is a little weird. Not many people are around this area, trucks and cars instead. Bars, coffee shops and restaurants are located seperately. They're scatter all over, which is a little bit scared if I walk by myself at night.
Great staffs Near metro station Good rooms
clean and inexpensive very friendly staff not too noisy for being around factories definitely recommend to friends (& foes) GOOD MIX OF PEOPLE
Being awakened at 3:00 AM by bright light and loud conversation to mone in the new room-mate.
They provide the wifi and some computers. There is a public TV, public kitchen and restroom. Staff are really nice and give you enough information to visit New York.
They should provide towel. They don't have obvious signboard outside their hotel.
Peaceful sleep. Great value.
great location, friendly & helpful staff, excellent wifi, comfy bed
Very helpful staff, nice clean rooms, good location - near to two subways and market.
If you drive by car, make sure you arrive on weekend. Otherwise the parking is rather difficult.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hostel is situated close to the subways station (2 or 3).
The industrial area can be a little off putting on arrival but the neighbourhood was actually fine; though sometimes it can be noisy outside in the morning.
3 in one room, not common in hostel, bathroom in each room clean, good wifi and staff
In Brooklyn, You have to take line l. Feel a little bit unsafe to walk alone in the night
Cheap hostel, No curfew, but recommendable for young travellers only.
1. Rat, rat, rat...in the kitchen 2. Strongly recommend not to request the reception to call a taxi, the taxi we ordered through the reception, was a sort of FAKE Taxi, eventhough a licence card was displayed in the cabin, but not reliable...and no Taxi signal on the roof, nor taxi meter! And furthermore the driver got wrong ways three times, and finally NO RECEIPT!
This is a great place to stay on a buget, friendly staff who are very helpfull. very clean. My room was cleaned and mop everyday and the bathroom was very clean.
I didn't like the comon area so I didn't use it I thought the furniture was too heavy and looked depressing it looks alot better in the picture. The room also looked dark.
Safe Environment Clean Rooms, Linen & Bathrooms Paint & the Artwork are Attractive. Close to A few good Restaurants Some Freebies
NOISE from the Businesses, the Traffic, Other Rooms. Staff somewhat aloof. Smoking Near the Dining Area. Pay for Computer Usage & Storage.
Great rooms, really different from all others hostels I have been around the world, and so much better! So big, with a lot of space, high ceiling and with A/C. Only 3 beds (and no bunk beds!) in so-called dorms (but with only 3 beds and so much space it's not a dorm, it's a comfy room), and each bed has a night table and a lamp. There are also lockers that you can close with your own padlock. Each room has private bathroom, and it's spacious too. The rooms and the common areas are clean. The living room is so cozy and original, there is free good wifi and also free computers if you don't have your own. No equipped kitchen, but there are 24h free coffe and tea, 2 fridges and a microwave. All the staff's members were kind, always smiling and really helpfull with information about the city and how to visit it. Also the position is good: even if it's not Manhattan, there are 2 subway's line that stop close to the hostel, and with them in 15-20 minutes you can be there. Very good value for money.
Towels are not included (you can rent one for 3 $).
A hostile with a summer camp sleep away feel, minus the marshmallows and camp-fire.
...Being rejected by the strawberry blonde and tall dark-haired brunette staff members for a date to Roberto's; hey maybe next time. Lol
Front desk staff was very nice, rooms and bathrooms were clean.
I was sleeping so I'm not positive but I think I saw hostel staff taking garbage out while I was sleeping. Depends on which metro station you get in from but the walk to the hostel may not be so nice.
Everything and the fact they charge you if you don't stay at the hotel for the amount of time you were supposed to
Easy access to three subway stations. Cool chill atmosphere with lots on common area. Helpful, friendly staff.
I liked accessibility to the subway and the staff were friendly
I didn't like the kitchen facility's. Having to use only a kettle and a microwave to prepare meals gets old quickly. As well as how hard it is to find a bowl in that place. The fact that it's situated in bushwick is fine but the fact that they tell you you're going to be in Williamsburg and the fact that you are not in Williamsburg is stupid, I felt a little deceived by that.
