NYCity Stay Midtown East  

The location was good and the coordination with the staff upon arrival was easy. Also, the sheets were clean and beds nicely made. The staff was somewhat helpful. It was a decent amount of space.

The place was not nearly as nice as it looked in the pictures. It is desperate for a paint job - there were fingerprints, footprints, and what appeared to be smeared blood in spots on the walls (yes, rather gross). The kitchen had no functional wine-opener and when I requested one, they brought a second broken one. The kitchen also had a coffee machine that was unusable because the pot was missing. There were none of the normal amenities of a hotel - no coffee, no ice, etc. The front door lock looked so beaten up it was as if someone had tried to break in with a crowbar, repeatedly. Although there was an attempt to make the place comfortable, the futon couch in the sitting room was uncomfortable and some of the furniture was broken. Not a bad place, but some real problems that seem fixable.

The location was ideal- a short walk to most major attractions and great restaurants on 3rd avenue.

There was a two foot hole in the bathroom ceiling, the wifi never worked, nor did the light or outlets in one bedroom. On the second day of our stay, the outlets in the kitchen stopped working. On the third day, the refrigerator stopped working. No one responded to any of our emails or calls about the problems. I am reporting the company to the better business bureau and NY consumer affairs office.

The staff was very helpful. The location was convenient. I would definitely stay there again.

5 if us stayed there contancted the manager several times to ask for another set of keys and he just ignored us!! Told us he would bring them to us between 8-9am one monrning so we stayed in untill 10am didnt contact us or turn up!!

At the end we didn't stay at Midtown East. We arrived close to midnight and we showed up at the hotel and nobody was there. There was a phone number to call and we were told that due to a leaking problem they had moved us to an uptown apartment. They stated that an email was sent but we never received it. The problem is we booked a three room apartment and they moved us to a two room one. We had to take two cabs to get there and it was inconvenient. The apartment we stayed in was small and cramped for five grown people but at least the location was good close to the park. However, we also wanted to be close to Midtown as there were a lot of activities around that area. I was told that we would be moved to a larger apartment after 2 days but we never got called or informed. I called up about refunds and I was told that money would be refunded as well as the cost of taxis. I sent an email so I could get confirmation back and still have not received a confirmation email or a refund so I am still waiting. I realise that these things happen but we specifically looked for a three bedroom because of the size of our group and having to stay in a smaller apartment was a bit of a spoiler to our holiday. I would hope that money got refunded and if it doesn't I would be more than disappointed and hope that somebody does something about it.

The apartment is in a nice friendly area with lots of amenities very close. It's about 10 min walk to the Empire State Building and a little further to Times Square. The apartment was comfortable and clean enough. The staff at booking .com are very helpful and efficient.

There is no elevator and we had to carry luggage up and down 4 flights of quite steep stairs.The owner of the apartment is quite difficult to contact.

I did not like the 4 flight walk up! Whew exhausting! lol They also need to fix the door bell!

Wel located place. Travelled with amount child, so helpful to have the extra space and cooking facilities.

de ruimte was redelijk maar te klein. De lokatie is OK

de communicatie en de ontvangst. Er was niemand aanwezig en bereikbaar. Ik moest de hepldesk in NL bellen vanuit New York om contact te krijgen en werd toen ondergebracht in een ander appartement. we hadden een app. met 3 slaapkamers gereserveerd en kregen er twee. Het serviesgoed in het appartement was kapot en er was te weinig.

L'ultra confort de la literie à été très apprécié ainsi que sa propreté de même que pour le linge de toilette.

Quand on loue pour 6 personnes il serait bien de prévoir 6 chaises ou tabourets. Il manque 1 grand miroir pour ce voir en pied et quelques portes manteaux muraux . L'ensemble de l'appartement mériterait un grand coup de peinture . L'accès de l'appartement n'est pas rassurant en raison de l'état de la porte qui est très abîmée. à noter que la télé ne fonctionnait pas.

Första natten fick vi inte lägenheten vi bokat, vi fick bo på ett annat ställe som var billigare och det var mycket trafikljud tur så var det bara en natt där sen fick vi den lägenheten vi bokat, det såg bra städat när vi kom men under sängarna var det smutsigt samt att det står att internet finns men den fungerar inte så det var inte bra

La proximité des moyens de locomotion (métro, bus etc...), beaucoup de commodités (restos, magasins d'alimentations, pressings etc...), bonne literie. Appartement bien chauffé.

La non disponibilité de l'agence qui s'occupe de l'appartement, appartement pas adapté aux nombres de personnes: pièces petites, table avec 4 chaises on était 7 personnes(en mauvaise état), pas de lave linge, 3 chambres trop petites avec pas trop de commodités (pas de portes manteaux, pas d'armoires dans toutes les chambres, la 7ème personne dans le canapé lit pas super mais bon on a fait avec) murs très sales, porte d'entrée en mauvaise état, salle de bain en longueur très étroite avec des fuites au niveau des robinetteries en mauvaise état, pas d'ascenseur non précisé appartement au 3ème étage = photos sur internet n'est pas le reflet de la réalité. L'équipement non adapté au nombres personnes que nous étions (vaisselles, chaises etc...).

Goede locatie, bussen dichtbij, metro ook redelijk dichtbij. In een rustige straat gelegen.

Appartement is aan de kleine kant zeker omdat er gezegd wordt dat je er met 6-7 personen kan verblijven. 5 personen is eigenlijk de max. Er staan maar 4 stoelen aan de tafel, dus je kan maar met zn vieren aan de eettafel zitten. Het is slecht schoongemaakt, heel veel stof en vieze prullen onder de bedden, geen schone lakens op het bed. Er is van allerlei keukenapparatuur aanwezig, maar de broodrooster werkt niet optimaal en de luxe kraan bij de wasbak is heel erg onhandig in gebruik. Daarnaast werkte de koelkast niet bij aankomst en waren alle lampen in een van de slaapkamer stuk. Na 2 keer herinneren dat de koelkast stuk was, kregen we pas een dag later de oplossing voor het probleem. Ook voor de lampen die stuk waren moesten we 2 dagen wachten voor het werd opgelost, waarbij we zelf nog aan de gang moesten om het helemaal in orde te krijgen. Communcatie met de eigenaren is slecht. Ze ondernemen totaal geen actie om de gebreken van het appartement aan te pakken. Het grote gat in het plafond bestaat nog steeds, er komt allemaal rommel uit dat in de wasbak in de badkamer valt. In een week tijd is er niemand langs gekomen om de handdoeken te verversen of om de vuilnis op te halen. Wij raden niemand aan om dit appartement te huren. Wij hebben onze week in het fantastische New York niet laten verpesten, maar je betaalt heel veel geld voor een waardeloos appartement!

De locatie was goed, dichtbij 5th avenue en toch rustige buurt.

Eigenaar bijna niet te bereiken, een groot gat in het plafond van de badkamer( douchekamer) dat zou worden hersteld, maar niet is gebeurd!! Op een dag kwam er zelfs massa's water naar beneden. Verwarming lekte, licht kapot in een andere kamer, géén verse handdoeken gekregen. Kortom, meer een nachtmerrie! We hebben na onze klachten wel 250 $ teruggekregen als compensatie; magere troost.

Puhtaus:kylpyhuoneen lattialla ja ovissa oli veritahroja kun saavuimme, koko asunnon lattia oli siivoton. Suihkukalusteesta puuttui kuuman veden säätämiseen tarvittava vipu, jäljellä oli vain pyöreä nuppi, jota oli vaikea käsitellä märin käsin. Avasimme itse kylpyhuoneen pesualtaan viemärin ja asensimme TV:n niin että se toimi. Lämpöpatterit pitivät kovaa ääntä ja häiritsivät nukkumista. Kahvinkeitin oli, muttei siihen sopivaa pannua. Asunto ei vastaa kolmen tähden luokitusta. Emme päässeet ensimmäiseksi yöksi asuntoon vaan meidät ohjattiin East 4th Streetille. Siellä oli kellariportissa numerolukko, jonka sisällä oli avaimet kellarihuoneeseen, jossa jo oli asukkaat. Ko. Asukkaat kutsuivat poliisin koska eivät pitäneet siitä, että avain oli annettu meillekin. Mr Eran Suki (luulemme että oli hän) tuli paikalle kun vaadimme sitä. Hän väitti että kellariasunnossa olevat henkilöt olivat varkaita ja sanoi heidän myös murtautuneen East 27th Streetin asuntoon ja rikkoneet siellä paikat. Tästä syystä emme päässeet asuntoon. Saimme uuden osoitteen ja taksirahaa. Yövyimme ensimmäisen yön kahdessa yhden makuuhuoneen asunnossa West 46th Streetillä. 19-Vuotias poikamme ja 17- vuotias tyttäremme joutuivat nukkumaan samassa sängyssä. Tilanne ei ollut se meitä olimme varanneet. Loput yöt vietimme varaamassamme asunnossa.

L'endroit est relativement calme et bien situé pour une visite New Yorkaise

Aucun accueil, les seules personnes rencontrées durant le séjour étaient pour nous presser de partir bien avant l'heure de libération indiquée ... peu faire mieux !

La posizione

Un disastro, lo sconsiglio in assoluto! abbiam dovuto prenotare poco prima di partire pagando subio e non rispondevano alle mail. Arrivati abbiam dovuto telefonare e ci han lasciato chiavi nella cucina. E' un appartamento in un condominio senza reception. Era al quarto piano senza ascensore e non era stato segnalato (io sono incinta). Sporco (con avanzi di cibo di altri nel frigo) rubinetti che si rompevano, tre camere minuscole (di cui una senza armadi), solo tre sgabelli x sedersi (eravamo in 4), due minuscoli condizionatori per tutto l'appartamento, internet non funzionava (era stato scelto anche per questo). provato a chamare responsabile, non si faceva trovare e mi ha risposto dopo 6 giorni (siamo rimastili 7 notti) telefonandomi alle 10.30 di sera per sapere se andava tutto bene e se avremmo lasciato il posto in orario! Prezzo altissimo. scandalosi!

Place was great, exactly what I needed a place big enough where 6 people can be together comfortably. communication leading up to the rental was not great. this was my first time doing something like this and it was very hard to get in contact with rental office. place was clean and great otherwise.

La localisation centrale. Tres bien situe.et quartier sur et calme. Logement pas trop insonorise on entend les voisins.

Draps pas propres et non repasses avec traces de make up. Lave vaisselle fuit. Le plafond de la sale de bain est ronge par l humidite et une partie du plafond s est ecroulee.

Kitchen is correct

Management of customers is at its poorest: arrival instructions were not given despite repeated mails, it is impossible to get the keys if you do not have an american phone number with you, despite finally getting the keys we were blocked out in the staircase for an hour upon arrival because the key hole was damaged. The apartment is much smaller than shown on the pictures, bedrooms are not much bigger than the beds, floor is filthy under beds. 2 rooms wtih air conditioning had no isolation through the air conditioners, with cold coming directly from outside: at -5c it was bad to`manage for one of the bedrooms. We had to phone management to get the wifi code, and tv repaired. Bath tub was damaged for some parts and not repaired. Phone isolation between apartments is virtually inexistant.
