The staff are very friendly and helpful. Luggage can be stored until well after checkout. The 7th/Metro Centre subway station is only a block away with quick access to Union station and Hollywood. The hotel's bar has a top-notch bar tender. No view (to be expected in Downtown LA). Toilet paper was cheap and thin.

The bed was extremely comfortable. The location was good. Depending on where you were going in LA, you could get by without a car staying here since the Metro is so close. The room was a bit dark. The wireless connection was somewhat unreliable.

I liked its design, ambience, location, space in the rooms, decor, easy parking next door and price, and the helpful and pleasant employees. Basically, I had a very, very pleasant stay; thus there is nothing that I truly disliked. I would suggest that a chair, other than the desk chair be added to the rooms. This chair could be used if one had a guest as well as for the guest/s as well.

The helpful and friendly nature of the staff from the font desk to the restaurant staff. The bartender in particular was personable and informative. The complimentary breakfast was good and the coffee was very good. The food the evening before was excellent. Would love a better city view!

The price wasn't bad for a great location in the middle of night life action. The room was cozy as advertised, the beds felt clean and comfortable and it served its purpose. Two complaints... 1st the fridge was hot and no ice bucket or machine to be found, 2nd the tv would go loud all if a sudden. If I get discounts, I'm coming back.

the staff was excellent. very friendly and helpful. especially the front desk staff. the rooms were very comfortable. the location was unbeatable as we were attending a show at the staples center. being able to walk there and to grand hope park and many restaurants was terrific. the restaurant and bar in the hotel were also topnotch. we could hear the music from the bar in our room until almost 2 am. we wanted quiet before that.

I liked that the hotel was in walking distance from the staple center, the hotel was modern and very elegant in the lobby/ bar area. At first I didn't mind that the hotel room was smaller than average, however you could hear everyone who was in the hall way including the people in the next room. I was woken up at 3:45 A.m by people who were walking down the halls. :( I thought the price of the hotel was fair when I originally booked the room online, however when I checked out they not only charged me sales tax (in which was expected) but they charged me $19 for using the internet and 2 bottles of water in which I never used or requested. And an extra $12 for parking, when I could've paid $3 across the street! The hotel was definitely a nice place, but I will never stay there again!!!

A very good location, near the Staples Center and walking distance to most downtown attractions. My friend and I had booked a two twin bed room and upon our arrival they had given our room away and offered a one bed plus a roll out. They promised to have our room ready by 3 pm next day. Next day after checking out the city we came back to the hotel at 4pm and the room wasn't "ready". At this point I was frustrated and they once again promised to have the room ready by 10 pm. After dinner and visiting friends we came back to the hotel with our room now available. The hotel desk staff were very nice but seamed disorganized. They waived my 3 day "room service charge" which amounted to $36. The hotel also was short on cleaning staff for the rooms. We would wake up early in the morning, leave for the day, come back in the evening and the room wasn't cleaned. I would not stay at this hotel again.

I was in LA for a specific event--the Mark and Brian Christmas Show, which was held at the Nokia Theatre. My main concern for choosing a hotel was to be within walking distance to the Nokia. Of course, O Hotel was a perfect location. Much to my surprise, I was astounded by the bar/kitchen. I spent some time chatting with Adam, your mixologist, and had such a good time. I also enjoyed the food there. The room was small, but efficient, considering I was there for just overnight. All of the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Thank you so much! I will book at O Hotel again. At 53 years old, the "uber-hipness" of the hotel was not my style. The staff more than made up for that small consideration.

The hotel is very hip and I loved the European feel to it. The decor is great, bed comfortable and the comforter was super warm. They also do a good job of managing the space in the rooms. The hotel was a ten minute walk to the Staples Convention Center and near good restaurants (albeit a bit pricey). It was also nice to have a small fridge and bottled water everyday in the room. Overall, I would stay here again and the service was excellent. My only criticism of the rooms is the shower. It had awesome water pressure but was handheld only and had no door. It took some coordination to finally not soak the whole bathroom with the stream of water from the shower. We were also mislead by the description on-line to think that the hotel had its own airport shuttle. It does not, but they comped us the $12 a day surcharge to make up for it. Overall, it was a positive experience.

I liked that it was a boutique and it had a nice ambiance for a drink in the evening when we returned. I liked there was a refridgerator I didn't like the lack of lighting in the room and I didn't like the fact there was no door on the shower

“Very interesting Hotel - they obviously put a lot of care and thought into designing it to make sure that it was an entertaining and enjoyable place to stay. Hotels can be so bland and boring everywhere else whereas the Standard had something funny, quirky, useful, or interesting at every step: from motivating quotes on the wall, to funny stickers in the bathroom, and Ipod docks next to each bed. The Staff were lovely and helpful and the location is pretty ideal. The coolest Hotel I have ever stayed in.” Andrew, Wellington |
