Traveled from Richmond; Got called by reservations that they over booked
while I was checking in after 2 hour drive; They wanted to move me to a
different hotel. Instead they attempted to put me in a different suite
said it was a upgrade- ended up not being a suite, was an extra small
room, no full kitchen, no sleeper sofa like I had reserved originally. I
was with my 12 year old son, 1 bed, no sofa, not even a roll away would
fit. Sink in bathroom had long black hair in it (I have a photo) (my
hair is blonde), front panel of bathtub fell off (which I also had a pic
of) when my son shut the bathroom door.
- Food last day I was there- at the Tiki restaurant outside- I had ordered the same flour wrap sandwich that I had twice before earlier that week while there- it was very good- then third time it came on a spinach wrap instead of flour wrap- without a word to me. I sent it back and told the waitress - I am allergic to spinach and this was not what was on the menu description. She apologized - 30 minutes later I finally got a new wrap, this time tomato flavored wrap. LOL- still not just flour wrap- but at least I was not allergic.
I travel a lot. Management was quick to fix the issues without
hesitation on the accommodations. They went above and beyond to make
sure my son and I were taken care of. I am not someone who lists
complaints out or complains to management about issues. So this was new
territory for me. The new room they moved me to on day 2 - was very nice
and exactly what I was expecting! It was just a shame that only being
there for 3 days 1/2 the time was not what was expected. I would
come back because half the trip was very nice. (Not sure the price
matches the accommodations) I would hope to come back under less stress.
