We went there because they had a indoor pool. We only stayed one night and the pool was rented out for a private party from 7pm to 9 pm. The time we would have used it. For the costs of the rooms you should have use of the facility. This is a Resort and Spa. They should not rent the pool for private parties. The quest of the hotel should be using it.
Needed a ride to a local restaurant after the shift of the shuttle driver was finished. The gentleman at the front desk said he would drive us after he gave us an upgrade on the room. Can't beat that for service beyond normal.
Price. Was a little steep but maybe if I had taken advantage of some of the extra on sight amenities I would not feel that way. Location is perfect!
The breakfast and decor
Pool and whirlpool
Over priced then added taxes & fees over $50.00 for one night
Carpet in rooms & hallways
Location Comfortable Room Cleanliness
Too many temporary staff who didn't know their way round. Bedrooms not cleaned and made up until late afternoon Too expensive for what the Hotel offered
Great beach front views and easy access to the boardwalk
Loud unsupervised children in the room next door screaming and banging on the walls starting around 7:30 AM every morning.
Position clean view service
To pay for the transport home of one baggage they forgot to give to me from the concierge
I love the location and the beachfront property it was only a short walk to shops and some excellent restaurants...
The hotel maintains palm trees on the beach - not sure how they do that in New Jersey weather. Food though room service was good with reasonable price.
Though we booked a room of $400 with partial ocean view, we were provided a room with almost no ocean view. We were told by the staff that we made a mistake by booking from booking.com who does not have idea about finer details of the hotel facility. It was outrageous to have the room - even after the staff gave us a new one - and a tiny slice of ocean view after paying such a huge amount for the room.
Everything from the moment we arrived the office manager Michelle had surprised us with a special greeting for my husband's birthday the most delicious mousse cake that tasted as if your eating in a french patisserie! The room was simply beautiful on the 9th floor with ocean views and hearing Reggae music when we arrived made us feel even though we were only 1 hr from home as if we were on a tropical vacation. The hotel has been completely renovated and the place was a slice of heaven for a truly quick get away!
New improvements. Beautiful...
We would like to call directly to Ocean Pl. and book a room at a better price than on line . We tried and were told there were only a few rms. left at Five hundred plus but found a rm . for 400 dollars on line not counting the tax and extra rm. fee. Room #319 very good but still expensive for retired couple.
I like that the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I also liked that the rooms were renovated clean and updated. The location and view were amazing. I would definetly revisit again next year.
I didn't like that we were not able to tour a couple of the rooms I was interested in viewing in case I decide to come back next year. I did not like that they ran out of beach chairs, umbrella and towels so we were not able to go to the beach. I didn't like that there were only 3 umbrella in the pool area.
Hotel did not have any amenities(nice soap, shampoo, ect.)
We thought this was a beautiful property. The pools are lovely, the beach is beautiful and we really enjoyed having chairs and umbrellas available to us at the beach. The cardio equipment in the gym is very nice too.
Why does the hotel allow guests to trash the place (wash their sandy feet in the pool, drag sandy beach toys into the hotel, ruining the carpet)? There should be rules that are enforced to make everyone feel comfortable. Also the amount of plastic all over the hotel is unconscionable. Go green. It is 2014! Get rid of all the plastic water bottles and plastic cups and put a Brita pitcher in each room. Use paper cups. Make guests pay for water bottles if they really want them.
The resort was well equipped for high end service. The beach was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and provided excellent service. You feel like you were at a fine resort somewhere overseas. Great amenities where you can store you bikes and bike to the surrounding towns.
The pool was small and over crowed. Slow service at the restaurant and price was high. The surrounding area of 2-3 blocks and/or along side the beaches was built up with restaurants and shopping but if you go outside of that, it's similar to any other Caribbean Islands or Mexico where the locals live and hasn't been built up. It's best not to walk around town after dark. It's too bad because it's a wonderful beach town and the real estate hasn't caught up with time.
Great location and staff. Plenty to do
Wifi was a little choppy and was very slow
The location is perfect given it's proximity to Pier Village. The pool and beach access are good, and the hotel is clean, and well kept.
The food quality at the hotel was just okay, and the wait times were ridiculous. There are much better options within walking distance of the hotel. We had great dinners at Avenue and Rooneys
Lack of efficient staff not attenitive at breakfast
Loved the outside and open area with seating to get the ocean breeze. Liked the friendliness of staff, ease of beach access and chairs, umbrellas and service on beach. Wonderful to have balcony and view.it an Liked the fresh fruit and berries and seating outside.
Loud noise by ice dispenser next to our room. Children crying, waking us up. Had to rush to get breakfast. 10:30 too early to close up. No cappuccino. .
The hotel was very clean and the location is perfect. I had a great stay. The staff at the front desk is very pleasant and accommodating.
The pool outside was a little crowded with children. Overall good
Bed was hard. Frequent customers should receive discount. Breakfast was cold.
Cold breakfast and same food every day. Need variation.
Although the price was a little high, it really was a fun stay. The staff is very accommodating , having beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach is awesome, and the atmosphere was very festive. They have renovated so the hotel so it was in better conditionsince past visits .
I loved the Pier and Pier Village. Loved the live bands in the resort playing. Loved the lounge area, the ocean. The pool boys were very helpful setting up my chair and umbrella.
We were an interracial couple and I felt that because my boyfriend is African American, he felt a bit uncomfortable in the resort in certain situations. Guests staying at the resort, made him feel uncomfortable. Outside of the resort was different. He felt comfortable because it was a good mix of people. Just letting you know. Also, room service never came. Idk why. I was there 2 nights, 3 days.
