Ocean Reef Suites  

The location was excellent in the heart of the action but was not on Ocean Drive so we did not have all the noise. There was a fantastic lady that checked us in, helped us with arranging a taxi and let us keep our bags in the room past check out and she also checked us in a couple of hours before checking - Fantastic service from her (she was from Cuenca Ecuador) she is an asset to the Hotel.

Tried 2 times emailing the hotel (email address provided on our booking confirmation) and never received a response. We where asking about an early check in and about how to get to the hotel from the airport - transportation.

I enjoyed the location and the convient things near by. The price was also very decent.

What I didn't like was the fact that the room had fleas. We saw them jumping from one ankle to another. We also left with little red bite marks on our feet ankles and legs...gross!!! Never again!!!

Location on Collins Ave allows easy access to the beach, shopping, etc.

The rooms are very plain. Cleaniless is poor. Definitely needs renovations.

Location, location, location

No elevator. I understand this is an older building, to make up for this I feel the staff should offer to carry bags up to the room. Also except for the front desk, the staff did not speak english

Location,location and Location. Its a good hotel in South Beach Area. Clean and comfy enough for 1-2 night stay. Very friendly staff.

Rooms had small kitchens with fridge/freezer, cooking facilities, coffee maker, toaster, etc which meant that you could prepare your own meals whenever you wanted. Very close to the beach but not right on the sea front which meant you avoided the Ocean Drive hustle We would go back again.

Low points would be that not all the rooms where fully up to standard. We had problems with the plumbing in one room which wasw never fully resolved. However, the staff did go out of their way to try and resolve problems. We would go back again.

The front desk people were very friendly and helpful. I had requested a room in the front (due to reading aobut noise in the back units) and it was granted. Room was attractive in a modern decor. Beds were comfy enough. Space was well laid out. The location was excellent for shopping and dining. This hotel was a good choice for us.

The air condioning wall units were quite loud. The tub didn't drain while taking a shower. Required valet parking (very necessary!) was a bit on the slow side in responding.

The location, people working, facilities, internet

The reception staff person was very helpful and accommodating. The location is the amazing, everything you want to see or do is steps away from the hotel. The room was clean and inviting. The refrigerator was useable in that it wasn't filled up with minibar items. In fact, no minibar at all. Outside there was an area to sit and watch all of the comings and goings on Collins Ave. There is free wifi and a convenience store is located right next to the hotel. Parking is right across the street ($25/day) so we didn't have to lug all of our beach stuff up to the room. This is the best value for the money that we ever had on sobe.

There was a lot of street noise and noise from the hallway but not so bad as to negatively impact our stay. Our refrigerator was frozen up when we arrived and nothing was done to defrost it. I had to do it myself with a hair dryer. We didn't need house keeping on the first day but the second day we hung the housekeeping sign on the door and they never came by.

Great location one block from beach. Also, the room was quite large with a kitchenette and futon.

The place was a little threadbare across the board. I suppose this comes with old attempting a refurb, but there was also a lot of noise from early in the morning (E.G., trucks in the alley, 8am Sunday morning jackhammering).

The sheets smelled musty. There was a dead roach under the dining table. Not as modern looking as compared to the pictures on the hotels' website. But not too bad for only staying there 1 night

The room was big.

Too noisy and the cleaning services was not that good. Moreover, when taking a quick shower, you have to wait at least 5 min to get hot water. In addition to this, the Air condition was working properly (noisy and stops sometimes suddenly).
