Ocean Sky Hotel & Resort    

Visited the Tikki Bar on the Friday after arrival. The Bar Tender was one of the best I've experienced in a while.

The special requests that were made at the time of booking were not even looked at. Upon arrival, the bed was broke in the first room. Asked to move to another room and was treated like I inconvenienced them. The staff at the restaurant was not very attentive. At the price of the rooms, parking should be included.

The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The beach was nice. The price was very fair. Only a 5 minute drive to all the shops and beach bars

The customer service was very minimal. The dining room was unappealing and over priced. Nobody was eating food. we only saw one lady doing paperwork on one table and some other ladies playing Dominos on another table. This was at 6 pm which is dinner time. We walked to get food nearby and saw 2 other couples doing the same. Also, in the morning around 8 am we sat at the coffee bar for about 5 minutes until we just decided to help ourselves when a guy heard us and decided to come out of his office and bill us for the coffee we had to get from behind the counter. Finally, the building is old and pool is small.

The location was excellent. The pool area was nice and well maintained. Restaurant staff were very attentive and polite. The food was delicious and served in a timely manner.

The billing procedure for customers paying with debit or check cards instead of credit cards was not very well explained when I checked in. Upon check-in I was told that my debit card would be charged immediately which was not a problem. I understand about taxes however; the front desk clerk failed to explain the security deposit that would also be charged to my account because I was paying with a debit card. The front desk clerk completed the transaction and handed me the bill with no explanation. After questioning the additional amount charged to my card another front desk clerk had to jump in and explain how the security deposit works. The wireless internet connection was spotty.

Great for direct, easy access to the beach! Large pool area with lots of chairs available for lounging. Place is great for watching the sun rise. Having a fridge in the room was nice. Not far from the airport.

Facilities need a bit of an upgrade - mainly guest rooms and hallways. Lobby was fantastic as you entered and the quality dropped dramatically on the guest floors. There aren't many choices for dining within easy walking distance - you'd probably want a car to have more options.

The location and the upgrades since last visit. However, still could use little improvements such as new electrical outlets just small things makes a difference. Refinishing the tubs, screens added to the doors leading out to the balconies so the sounds of the ocean can be heard or just being able to catch the breeze

The $12/day parking valet or not. If not using the valet why should one pay to park across the street...makes no sense. Seems to me to be a rip off.

From first entering, your expectations are high since the lobby is updated- but when arriving to your floor- the carpeting is old & the rooms need some updating. Overall, for the money you are spending, this hotel isn't bad at all- just needs some modernizing & rehab.

Tv didn't work ,renting beach chairs. Hot tub way too hot

Everything. Relaxing, somewhat ocean view. Great balcony. Easy access to the ocean. Loved the pool setup with chairs. Nice setup for beach chair and umbrella. Also discovered nice resteraunts in the area. Loved the "Ft Lauderdale by the sea" area. Really had a nice time. RELAXING AND QUIET.

Walls were a little thin and could hear hallway and next door noise. Ice machines should be on every hallway.

the balcony was great! My kids loved the gamming-arcade.

there was a water-leak comming from the overhead lighting-fixture over-the-toilet.

Location was great, food was good, tiki bar, hot tub, within walking distance to stores and such. Staff was courteous and willing to be of assistance...

Waited for about 10 minutes on terrace part of resturant to be waited on and hot tub should be cleaned everyday. Paying to park at facility. Some of the maids didnt understand english

Ocean and pool facilities were good.

Staff was unhelpful and not very friendly. Except housekeeping they were the nicest and most friendly. Also workout room not great. Small and not enough machines for the amount of guests and size of hotel

The hotel was right on the beach. The pool and Tiki Bar were nice.

I didn't like anything about this hotel. For the rates they charge, they need to update!!!!!

Arrived at 1:00 A.M. Very cold greeting. Carpets in the hallway smelled. Room very dark. Had to run water 10 minutes to get it at warm temperature (complained at front desk, they did nothing about it). Awful!!!!

Loved the beach and pool areas. The poolside restrooms were the cleanest I've seen and appeared newly remodeled. The rooms were very well kept and very clean. Plenty of towels and soaps. Coffee pot, microwave and mini fridge were handy. The hotel is conveniently located to dining and shopping.

The mattresses were abit soft for our liking but thats a personal preference.

Loved the location right on the beach. The room size was very adequate and the king bed was very comfortable. Nice tiki bar right near the pool, and numerous lounge chairs.

Did not like the room was not ready by 3pm had to wait for awhile.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Microwave and fridge were a nice touch. Bed was very comfortable. The dining area was lovely, and the service was excellent.

The furniture was quite dated, and the ceiling needed painting, but I can't say these caused any hardship. We knew it was a 3 star hotel going into it, but it was much nicer than the 4 star hotel we stayed in prior to our cruise.

The staff is not accomadatting and does not seem to care about guest. Spoke with two managers and they failed to even apologize for a mishandeling of a simple food order by there room service.
