Great beach location.
Ocean view, great beds, good price and nice staff.
Just wish other visitors would not slam their doors shut in the morning or anytime. Hard to control no matter what hotel you stay in.
TV, fan, and bed were nice. Hot tea and coffee selection was good too.
We never got our room cleaned and the walls are paper thin. We can hear what every neighbor around us was doing. Unfortunately.... Everything.
It was a perfect small vacation. Everyone was friendly.
Small single sink for 2 to 4 people.
The beach, the ocean view. "The Red Snapper Inn" just down the street is absolutely fabulous. The food and preparations is 5 star!
Clean the bird droppings off the balcony and add some comfortable outdoor chairs.
Wonderful staff, good food, nice room and grt veiw!
Very honest and friendly staff worker's.
This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Good restaurant, excellent view, clean room, cheap.
No phone in room, a little far from Galveston.
clean and very comfortable, ramp to beach
no phone in room no map so I can choose room in advance
The views were nice. On site restaurant gave us a free thanksgiving feast.
On the third floor so had to deal with six flights of stairs every time we left the room. Getting luggage in and out was a nightmare.
The location was perfect! The room was very clean. The staff was friendly and informative. I would recommend to a friend.
The internet service was slow. The cable service was very basic and limited to just a few channel. It would be great to have better cable service for tenants especially in the winter when there is not much to do but stay in the room. Thin walls, could hear the person next door and up stairs. Could use vending machines in halls and patio's for those wanting snack.
the location of the building love the fan in the room
noise from other guest. no place to put my clothes in bathroom hooks or something . small shelf option of fan or no fan in bathroom to noisy when others sleeping bedding to to hard/heavy for fibra person
Loved the location. Very clean and attractive.
No wifi the entire stay
My mom, my sister and I loved everything about this place.
There wasn't anything we didn't like.
The scenery, the room, the beach
The crew at the front desk. They were busy doing personal stuff. Just below our room there was a barbecue place. People were enjoying themselves with loud music during the whole evening.
The view was terrific and the price a bargain
The room was very clean. Staff was helpful. The beach was clean, had coffee on our balcony every morning and watched the ships come it.
We loved the location. The rooms are very comfortable. We had balcony with an oceanview and it was wonderful!
We could hear other people talking during the night on the property.
The hotel was very nice, had a fridge, microwave, a balcony with the view to the bay. The beach is right there a couple of steps away. The pets are allowed as well. Their restaurant had great food!
It was rather noisy, neighboring AC units kept going on and off. They started mowing their grass very early in the morning. So I practically couldn't sleep at all, but I am a light sleeper. Other people might be totally OK with that.
The location can't get any better, right on Surfside beach. Free beach access, picnic areas with good equipment. Room was very clean, comfortable bed.
Wifi was poor, practically non-existent. Ceiling fan in the room was too low and in a really bad position - I can see a potential lawsuit. No Fox News on cable.
We liked the location to the beach, the cleanliness of the room and the large decks for relaxing. Beds were also comfortable.
The restaurant at the hotel did not serve much seafood. We come to the coast for the beach and good seafood. A little disappointed with that. Our first night was quiet, but the remaining two nights were very loud. It sounded as if the people above us were moving all the furniture around most of the night and it was coming through the ceiling.
The staff was very friendly and housekeeping was amazing!!! And the views were awesome!
The WiFi was in and out, but I was really wasn't there for the WiFi, I was there for the beach.
Clean place, great stuff, convenient location!
No wifi at all, unfortunately!
The hotel (as it is called) is right on the beach, maybe 50ft from the water. To the right is a pond which attracts different kinds of birds. Behind is the intra coastal waterway. By Galveston and Corpus standards, the area is sparsely populated. It prides itself on being laid back. One local restaurant advertises "No shoes, no shirt, no sweat!" Most of the staff is helpful and gracious.
The nearby restaurants are the rub--woefully inadequate. After three days we drove into Clute and found Mediterranean Garden, a modest Greek restaurant with a fresh salad, tender chicken breast, and plump Kalamata olives among other temptations. Back to the hotel itself. It's most attractive feature, large decks with beach views, turned out to be open to the rain and essentially unusable in bad weather. And finally the much touted king size bee's mattress was like quicksand.
