+ Clean rooms + Great Breakfast
Close to centre Close to beach Close to pier Lovely rooms
No air conditioner, room was very noisy. Bedding and rug looked very worn. Bathroom was old and very out dated. Makeup mirror didn't light up. Price was very high. I will never stay here again.
The location is amazing, right opposite of the beautiful beach and the pier in Santa Barbara.
Prizes are relatively high, especially since the rooms are standard, but not special.
The staff and the breakfast were amazing. The location is very good, since it is almost at the Beach and near the center
Small room Breakfast poor Clean staff
All the amenities. the Staff was helpful.Kids & Family Friendly.Love all the beautiful plants & flowers.Rooms & Hotel kept clean.Look forward to going back next summer.
Late check in 4pm.We requested 2 weeks ahead for our room next to pool or Beach view.We did'nt get it.
Brilliant location for beach, pier and shops (there is a cute tram which goes to and from the pier and shops, the walk could be long for some). Staff very helpful, 2 good pools, fantastic complimentary breakfast, very well stocked mini bar (including sun cream!).
No air con!! Lovely quiet ceiling fan, but didn't keep us cool, so rather uncomfortable nights sleep. Room decor bright and could do with one less colour! Hotel could do with a little upgrade in places.
- Outstanding Location - Great room decoration
- Very limited selection on Breakfast buffet - Parking facilities limited - Bathroom not very clean - Not enough storage in room for a family with kids - Expensive!
Liked everything Staff were friendly and helpful Great location Comfortable beds Lovely rooms and gardens Good breakfast
Beautiful and perfect location, unique and distinct hotel and room.
The room was hard to cool on a hot day. The shower had poor temperature control -- almost no cold water! The staff made no accommodation for this upon check out.
Breakfast (room to small for the number of guests) No A/C
nice gardens. Close to beach. Close to state street where everything is happening
free bikes, fitness center, location, helpful staff
Location, spacy rooms, lounge areas
small pool areas
location was nice , garden and reception looked good, beds were comfortable , reception staff helpful, easy bike ride into town
rooms! no aircon and the moscitonets broken , bathroom was poor , chubby chic is a good excuse for old furniture
THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL AND ACCOMODATING.
NO AIR CONDITIONING, BUT STAFF BROUGHT IN A FAN FOR COMFORT.
The room given to us for 538 dollars was a rat hole! In europe it would compare to a 2 star hotel! Tiny and dark, bathroom old, fixtures crumbling, furnitore tattered and old ( I have taken pictures to prove it). We were obliged to " upgrade" as no other room was available and had to pay almost 600 dollars for a bigger room but with same old furniture, old bathroom, old windows etc... Scandalous!!!
The location is great. Ocean right across the street & Marina very close. We took the train from LA & the hotel is close to station.
In the summer it can get very warm & hotel has no AC.
beach front was nice
we were in a room with supposedly 2 x queenside beds not the case room was too small for 2 beds in my opinion
One of the most pleasant hotels we've stayed at.
Crowded breakfast area
Location was good across the busy main road from the excellent beach. Good position for walking to the Marina, the Pier and walking along the front of the resort. Other than the location we cannot give any other positive points regarding the accommodation. The hotel is very poor quality and does not warrant the rating it has which may be indicative of the quality of the hotels in Santa Barbara. The hotel is the worst we have every stayed at and we couldn’t wait to check out on move on to the next hotel as part of our tour around California. Sorry to be negative to any future patrons of the hotel but if you have chance please look at alternative accommodation.
Awful hotel, website photographs and description are very misleading. The room size was extremely small; we supposedly stayed in a King size room! It was like staying in a Sardine can. The lack of room description and no room size information on the website tells its own story. We are reasonably well travelled and we will not stay in a hotel again that fails to provide clear room information. Potential future patrons should be aware of the lack of information, something to hide maybe. Unlike the majority of hotels on Booking.Com which give this information as standard. Room cleanliness and facilities throughout the room where poor and grubby. The room was very poor quality and with an inadequate lack of furniture. No drawers and only a very small wardrobe, our clothes had to be stored in the suitcases throughout our stay. In hindsight the place best for them! We toured California for 3 weeks staying in 8 different hotels, this hotel was not only the worst on this trip it’s probably the worst we have stayed at ever! Lastly, the hotel is totally over priced and should be rated as a 2 star accommodation only.
student staff did their best to appease unsatisfied customers.
should be called a motel, definitely not a hotel! unlikely they will get returning customers, probably cashing in for the summer with a view to selling for re-developement!
The location and the potential of the hotel are there. It just falls very short of the mark for the price.
Our room was small for what was considered a 'king'. It was noisy and I could hear the neighbours talking and shutting doors etc. The room was very hot and the aircon was non-existant.
The hotel attends to all your needs. Nice staff. Bedrooms are beautiful. Breakfast delicious. Bikes are included in the stay which was great. The best filled fridge and bar in the room that I have ever seen but pricy!
A little crowded at breakfast but it was August so to be expected
