We have booked a group into this hotel for the past 5 years for bike week. No one told us that they tore down their parking garage which was the only reason we book there. We all had to park down the street in a no security dirt lot. The folks at the front desk could care less.
Every thing was great and a nice little bar on the pool!
was not told of the major renovation they were going thru. they demolished their parking area which is about half of the building!!
Beach was very close.
Old and run down facility. AC broken
Location is great. Security in the parking lot at night.
Several times told the staff the remote control did not turn on anything. They never did a thing about it and I was never able to watch TV the 3 nights I was there. Everything about the place is tired and worn out. They need to reinvest in the property. They can start by replacing the old, stained, beatup nasty furniture.
The parking situation was horrible, we would not come back to the hotel until after 2 or 3 am and were told to park across the street when there was clearly still room for our motorcycle, very poor way of setting up the parking
Nice tiki bar out back
Continental breakfast lacking. No yogurt or fruit available.
right on ocean, clean and comfortable
didn't have a balcony and had to park in a vacant lot across the street
Nothing, staff was rude and website lied about amenities!!!
Nothing, staff was rude and website lied about amenities!!! There is no hot tub, after a 20 hour ride, that was one of the deciding factors when booking the room. Got take out one night, and they wouldn't even give me a plastic fork or spoon. We had three rooms and no parking!
Security, employees, room very nice, location perfect for me, nice pool overlooking ocean. Would return and recommend. Four out of five stars.
Breakfast could be much better.
Ashley Satine was able to perform at local establishments Satine Productions was able to conduct business beach side with a great view
Location to hot spots
No hot tub
The tiki bar and it was on the beach.
For the price it was OK. There was no Jacuzzi tub like advertise nor beach view. Parking is across the street and it can use more variety at the continental breakfast.
I liked how it was right on the beach, beds were comfortable, free wife and tiki bar at pool.
I hated that we had to park across the street bc of only 10 spots by the door. The outside of the hotel is old and rusty and embarrassing to look at. The pools looked dingy, the black lady at the front desk was rude. Our door would not even open when we got there so the lady acted like I didn't know how to open a door but once maintenance came and realized that couldn't open it either, they moved us to another room which also had a sticky door but it opened. The breakfast was terrible and all their juice/milk is watered down.
The only good thing about staying at Oceanside Inn was the location. THAT WAS IT.
Very dirty, rooms didn't feel clean, we had to jump in the shower after getting out of bed cause we felt so dirty, someone was smoking weed in the room next door, we contacted the manager and they switched our room right away so that was a good thing but I would never stay here again, the sheets didn't smell like they were washed, the remote control didn't work, the breakfast was a joke.
Staff was excellent. Breakfast was good. Pool was nice.. I want to go again
Cant think of anything I did not like. Seriously
Great view of the ocean
Musky smell from the AC when you walk in the room.
Its a good location unless you like busy going on all the time. Older hotel in need of a lot of work, maintenance people constantly moving throughout the building. Fifth year in a role we have stayed here. Hotel is clean. First time the WiFi has worked with out having to get them to help.
Didn't like having to park on the other side of the four lane street with no cross walk or traffic light any where close due to the parking garage being rebuilt from the ground up. Had to be torn down an built back.
right on the beach
Rooms surprisingly nice. Get what you pay for. Vacation on a budget.
Ice machines on alternating floors, place could use a freshening up coat of paint.
The rooms werent bad nice size view from the huge window was awesome . The distance between the hotel , pool and beach were very close .( just how I like it) view from the pool was beutiful. Staff at the tiki bar by the pool very nice. :)
The staff from front desk ta cleaning crew not so friendly, not mean just didnt seem ta care not sure if they even smiled.parking is across a busy street unless ur lucky enouph ta get one of the very few on the side. Got called feom front desk 2's to move my car out of the way. And it wasnt even mine !On our first night there husband uses the main bathroom only to run into the only front desk guy there at the time washing his feet in the sink.....really come on lol. The halls , main lobby , and SUPER slow elevator were really hot at all times. Room smelt like smoke :p pool was very foggy .I figured the breakfast would be fine ceral fruit toast .if it didnt have eggs and bacon stuff like that no big.....smh the fridge is big in your room get stuff for breakfast! They have a nice place ta sit and chill and place ta eat inside but never opened and stayed dark the whole time .dont plain on watching any of ur fav shows on tv theres a reason they offer free dvds down stairs.. main reason I was there was ta be out side but on ya late night break from the sun before bed would have been nice ..there was a family reunion going on and they were every where .drunk and the smell of weed was in the air. Truth be told it has potential to be a nice place its perfect location .its the details that could be fixed that would make a world of difference
Bad odor don't no if was coming from air conditioning or carpet smelled like skunk and the odor would come and go though out the day.
The parking lot was being re done so parking on side consisted of 12 spots that people would place things in to save. The rest of us had to park in a dirt lot one block down across the street! I had. Cross a five lane road with a six year old and five year old every time I needed to leave. They also charge a 7$ resort fee when the wifi was impossible to join, the DVD rentals they provided where constantly out, there were never any available chairs at the pool and upon check out the luggage carts (all 5 of them) where all gone so I had to make several trips up and down from my room with two small children struggling to carry our stuff while three male hotel employees past us and never offered to help!!!! The lady at the front desk was rude and did not have a helping bone in her body!!!!! I would never go back to that place ever! I feel completely upset that I waisted my money on such a disgusting place!
I would reccomend
Nothing at all. I was very ashamed that I choose you for my family.
The parking was Accross the street in a grassy dirt covered field. This was not disclosed during booking. There was a charge to park there. I was on the 8th floor and one of the only 2 elevators in the building broke down. I had to climb the stairs up and down several times. The toilet in one of the rooms I was staying in didn't fill efficiently so if my husband used the toilet, the next person behind would not be able to flush. It took hours to fill up so we used a bucket/trash can and filled up the tank ourselves in order to flush as needed. The "FREE" coffee area never had any coffee in either one of the containers. I was very disappointed by the whole experience especially since one of the rooms was a gift to my best friend for her anniversary. I felt as if I booked a room at a Motel 6 instead. I come to Daytona every year and have never been so dissatisfied with my stay there.
