Location. One block from the beach.
Whole facility is run down and in bad need of an upgrade. Room was dirty. Bed was mediocre.
Mattress spring popping out, shower has no pressure.
Nothing....Consumers Beware!! This motel was overpriced, dirty, unsanitary, and lacked overall good customer service. The motel manager/owner was rude and disrespectful. He could care less about his lack of quality (regardless if its a motel), and it was very much apparent that the condition the motel was left in was a ripoff & way below average. For the cost of this motel you might as well stay in a hotel with better accommodations, standards, and quality of service.
The location, the comfort and the free wifi
The staff member they were not joyful
We love the location, and the man at the desk was very nice. We have been there before and will definitely go back again, you just can't beat the price. Free wifi is great for teenagers, so my son was happy, and having cartoon network on the TV made me happy.
There is VERY limited parking, and some one decided that it was wise to park taking up 3 spots. My husband helped me create a makeshift parking spot for me so that my car would be safe for the night. I did call and inform the front desk of what I was doing and why. He understood and informed me that he had been waiting for this man to return.
Close to Muni, Beach, and Food. I never plan on spending much time in the room. I just want to clean up and sleep, I will definitely go back
Kinda Noisy, but it didn't stop anyone from sleeping
We went for Valentines weekend and chose this place because it was $120/night which was way overpriced for what we experienced. First of all, the name is misleading because there is no view of the ocean. There aren't even any balconies. Since we are from out of town, we asked the front desk representative about some romantic restaurants and she literally told us, "There are some restaurants if you go left out here (pointing to the street), or if you go right you may find one," and considering the street only goes left or right shows their poor attempts as hosts. It is an Indian family who owns te building and rents out the rooms and it seems they are the ones who clean the rooms and not an experienced housekeeper. Whoever lived next door to me had multiple kids who would run around and bang on the walls. When the family cooked, the curry smell leaked into our hotel. Morning til night the smell of curry seeped through the vents. In the bathroom, there was a used shower cap with hair still dangling from it, boogers wiped on the wall above the toilet seat, pubic hair on the toilet, and a couple the complimentary toiletries were barely used and recycled for us. The bed was made but it had such a musty feel. I had to put down a layer of my clothes to sleep on because I was so sketchy of the linens. While getting ready I walked around in my socks and the floor was so dirty, my socks turned almost black and my feet were sticky even while wearing my socks. No continental breakfast, which isn't a necessity but if I am paying over $100 for a disgusting room, there should be some sort of compensation. The office closes after a certain time so I couldn't request any towels or fresh linens. If you are even slightly concerned about hygiene, do not book a room here. I will never return to this place.
Good quality for the price, located in SF. Easy parking.
A bit Noisy; near terminus of muni train. Better to have a car to access tourist areas.
Ease of getting to my destination.
Mildew in the bathroom on the ceiling, around the tub and on the shower curtain. Lights were unplugged, some didn't work. The outside door access was wide open when I returned that night.
Didint last 10 minutes there so nasty and uncomfortable.
Had a short stay 3 nights in SF on a road trip. Hotel was well located near the beach and convenient for travelling around to see the sights. Room amenities were useful with a microwave and refrigerator
Noisy neighbours in the room next door and above. Had a room off the street but could still hear the trains out front. The reception was not the friendliest or most helpful of people. No elevator so you need to carry your bags up the stairs. Needs an update in public areas
Close to the beach
Location Price was OK for San Francisco but not a deal
Place is noisy WiFi reception and speed poor TV basically unworkable and few stations No breakfast offered and hotel room coffee is typically poor
Free parking, nice people working there
Our room was really dirty, stains and hair in the bed and bed bugs all over the place
street car noise; some lights not working in room; no elevator to go to 2nd floor; poor condition of carpet on stairs; noisy refrigerator
Loved the location! Would stay here again for that alone.
We had someone below us who cranked loud dance music late at night and early in the morning. We could also hear everything from the people above us which woke us up. They should supply earplugs. Had to unplug the fridge bc it was so loud. The muni outside our window was also loud, but in comparison to everything else, it wasn't bad.
Location in relation to facilities within walking distance, Golden Gate Park, beach and public transportation (if you need that). This is a non-smoking facility (but the owner, on ground floor, smokes up a storm!).
Neighborhood can be a bit off-putting with the homeless. We were fine, but for tourists it could be a little disturbing. Not ADA friendly. Hallway stairwell is pretty dirty - rooms were clean, though.
No coffee machine or kettle! Room was freezing cold, because heater hadn't been turned on, the owner said "room will be warm in 20 minutes". Bed was a Twin size, we paid for a Queen.
The price was great
The lights did not work
Size of the rooms.
bed bugs. everywhere.
Very close to the beach and public transit. Good price and convenient.
First room we were put in was not clean yet. We had to go to reception to change.
the location near the beach and the two cafes and other nearby restaurants is great, but thats about it.
The list would be too long to put here. But if there was one root cause to all this place's problems I'd say its the attitude of the owners/managers. They obviously just don't give a damn. This place could be such a great place but its the worst sort of dive. The owners/managers clearly have utter distain for their guests. Its all about effortless money for them. They pay no attention to any details or issues of hospitality, cleanliness or comfort and have no pride in being innkeepers.
The price was relatively reasonable; operative word relative.
Where does one begin? Extremely unhelpful and rude staff. Impersonal and just down right mean. The manager just plain outright lies. No hot water in the shower. Dirty (Nasty!!) bathrooms. No soap or shampoo provided, Electrical outlets and heaters are fire dangerous (plugs were burned out, had obviously caught on fire), the in-room refrigerator was rumbling (broken motor) noisy so I had to unplug it. Parking lot is poorly managed, bad parking spot lines and they allow crazy parking so that I got blocked in, made me late for work. Hallway carpets dirty, vomit and urine just sat there for the longest time. Bedding was old and had holes, No extra blankets so it was a cold night since the heater was burned out. I could go on and on.
Proximity to ocean.
The place is moldy and smells disgusting.
location street car to the door irish bar across the street java one corner restraunt on the other no 18 bus up the street to the irish center- what more can i ask for
the rain could have stayed away another day,as i was returning to ireland mike athenry
