Score from 834 reviews Very good
plenty of space to move about in the room. great shower
lack of hooks to hang winter gear at entrance to room
Would definitely stay here again. We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room and the cleanliness. I also love that it is not in the craziness of Times Square. We got to roam around in more of a neighborhood type atmosphere. Will stay here again.
My only disappointment was that at check-in we were given the address of a place to park the car overnight and were told if we had our ticket validated by the hotel it would only be $27 to park overnight...we went to get the car the next day and were told there was no such arrangement with the hotel but they did give me a few dollars off. It still cost $39. We mentioned it to the front desk at the hotel and they said they never said that. Minor incident really..the hotel itself is great.
The extra space provided by the suite was nice. We had 4 people in our group and 2 more who stopped by dinner. Close to subway stops, restaurants and Whole Foods grocery.
Shower was very finicky. Either hot hot or freezing. Took us a few days to get the hang of it.
I stayed here because of lack of options... after 3 or 4 days if staying at the hotel alone, my family joined me for Christmas. the hotel botched my reservation, then tried to blame me for the mistake; these people treated me like a criminal, even after I had been a good sport and tolerated the sub par conditions of the facility... if you want the experience of being in prison (in both ambience and guest "service") then this is a great hotel for you.
everything... see above
Welcoming staff, unique suite, non touristy location, handicapped accessible, pet friendly
wifi poor to null, kitchen not really workable if need any cooking, laundry needed repair
There was nothing I didn't like about facilities
Helpful and friendly staff. Clean towels daily. Our dishes got washed without being part of our booking deal. Close to subways and a wholefoods market.
I loved the location, and the parking was free on the streets. Overall the suite was very trendy, and I booked it again that's how much I loved it !
That we were on the 5th floor
the staff(Gabe), the beds, the size, safety, the location, the value, the cleanliness
outdated kitchen, needs throw rugs to keep down noise, the heat was unable to be controlled and it was too hot.
Great location Friendly Staff Short walk to the Bowery & Grant Street Subway Stations
No way to control the heat in the room. It was crazy hot at night I we had to sleep the the AC fan running and a window wide open. Gas stove was unplugged and gas shut off, I believe because the electronic ignition on some of the burners was out. I plugged it in and turned on the gas so we could cook.
Was were we wanted to be in a great locationi in a neighborhood, felt like a real local. Near Chinatown, little Italy, canal street. Soho was great and New York was great. Would definitely stay there again. There were 2 of us but it would easily accommodate 4 comfortably
A good find. Surprisingly large apartment close to lots of restaurants, shopping, sights, transportation options - less than 10 min walk west to Broadway, less than 5 to Houston. Spacious bathroom, good shower/bath and handy kitchen with space to lounge. Spotless hardwood room and professional/ accommodating staff. Safe/secure - safe in room, but never felt we needed it.
A bit of noise from street and room above, but really not that bad (especially for a big city like NYC - we were on 4th floor). Could get some wi-fi reception in room (only really avail in lounge, as advertised). Would be great to have more wi-fi access in future when we hope to return!
Roomy, like a small apartment
Hasn't been updated since 1980-something. Mis-matched furniture, threadbare towels, no electrical plugs in the entire bedroom!
A great place with convient transportation.
Me and my friend stayed one night here. I was shocked at how big the room was, not often seen in NYC! Really good location, and the second receptionist was very nice. All in all very recommendable
The first receptionist was quite standoffish and I almost felt like I was serving him, not the other way around
very convenient apartment spacious fully equipped kitchen large bathroom clean quiet cosy
I traveled with my parents and needed a separate bedroom. For the money you won't find anything this size. Location is great if you like China town, Little Italy and the Village as much as we do. Getting to midtown isn't hard but you have to take transportation. The room was clean enough, staff was friendly, and room service was good.
It was quite warm due to hot water heating system. Even though it was cool out we left windows open to get air. The room is worn down but it had the necessities. If you like luxury this is not for you.
Missa inte restaurang Freemans precis mittemot hotellet
the location and staff were great. The apartment was very clean and nice
it was next to a bar which was very loud on the weekend next to it was a deposit site which kept moving things and making loud noises with a moving cart all night!! Not the best place if you are a light sleeper
LARGE clean rooms, great staff. Great for family of 4. Can't beat the price. MTA stations close by, plenty of eclectic shops and eating spots nearby. Free WiFi.
Minor things only. Very basic amenities, one small TV in room. Arriving by car not a great choice.
Love the people that work there. Great location Lots of room
Location 24hr front desk coverage Good WiFi in lounge area Comfortable beds
Tatty kitchen Dated bathroom
Location near Soho and subway. Two blocks from Whole Foods. Close to many restaurants. Friendly staff. Bouncer at door in the evenings. Big bathroom with tub and shower.
Apartments are somewhat run down, shabby. TV remote did not work. Hair clogged the bathtub drain. Had to buy kitchen sponge and dishwashing liquid for short stay.
Beds were dirty, but claimed as clean by hostel management (changed only once a week !!!). You will be fortunate to be the first....and all facilities around were in poor conditions. 1 shared bathroom with toilet for around 30 people... the other one is one floor below after crossing an indoor car park....
Large rooms, location.
At check in even though I had booked the queen bed room option the person at the desk said I could have a room with two twin beds. When I said i did not want that room he asked me to pay more to get a room with 2 Queens. When I refused to pay extra he did give me the available room with 2 queens for my original booking rate.
