A little dated, bathroom could have used an upgrade.
The interior of the hotel itself was very comforting and the staff was awesome. Very friendly environment with welcoming gestures and warm smiles makes all the better. I liked Kelly she was very helpful and kind to me. I also liked the continental breakfast provided in the morning. Great location for a traveler too. Getting on the 14 bus and traveling downtown and onto Oglethorpe avenue was easy and fun!
I was a little upset with the water pressure in my shower. Also the stopper for the drain was broken so I couldn't take a bath:/ I felt like finding help for such a necessary facility wasn't worth my time. I was too busy in general to think of getting it fixed for my convenience. My last night I did have a problem. I have PTSD and its triggers include helicopters and loud aerial motors in general. I wasn't aware of the fact that the hotel was so close to a airbase. My last day I asked Knicki if there was anyway to check out early because the helicopters were affecting my mental state and health. She informed me that the airplanes don't last long. But in fact they lasted all day and night and I started suffering from hallucinations and delusions in my room my last night staying:/ so that really upset me. Other than that the trip was amazing. I was just upset because I informed Knicki of my medical condition and she didn't really seem to care. Seemed like the money for the last night given to the hotel was more important instea of allowing me to check out as early as possible due to the excessive helicopters and air planes that were ultimately affecting my perception of my stay in the hotel.
The Oglethrope is my home in Savannah!
Very pleasant stay. No outside noises. Almost overslept. Staff was courteous and friendly. Coffee was excellent.
Nothing to carp about here.
Friendly staff Decent breakfast Price - good value for the money
Older furnishings Limited parking 7-8 miles from downtown
The ambience and atmosphere was wonderful. the larger hotels impress you with the huge entrance ways and stereotype rooms . I felt as though I was in the Old South the moment I walked in.
Shuttle to the historic distance hits every hotel and motel before it arrives. Just take your own car and park
Desk employees Maggie and Kelly were the friendliest, most helpful people. They became like family. Great rooms, very spacious. Beautiful foyer. Reading areas. Fountain. Wonderful breakfast every day for free. Great looks on the outside and inside.
We loved everything about this Inn and will stay there every time we go.
Location and ambiance of the hotel. Accessible to downtown and shopping malls nearby
Breakfast choices a bit limited
I Liked The Look And That It Felt Really safe.
The highlight of our stay was friendly and helpful staff. We talked with several people at the front desk and they went out of their way to help us plan the best use of our time.
The grounds and building are older, providing a homey atmosphere. Some guest may want more updated accommodations.
The rooms are large and well set out. Great shower pressure and hot water consistent. The staff in reception are just fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. Close to fabulous restaurants, incl. the best Italian food I have ever had.
Nothing to not like.
Kelly was awesome !!! Great value, great location !!! Yummy breakfast
Not much not to like ... Great value great location
I thought it was wonderful. The ambiance was delightful and the staff were wonderful. Free breakfast was not only plentiful but so convenient. Thanks!! I will be back.
Breakfast could have been better. No hot eggs or sausage gravy biscuits.
The layout of the room.
The bathroom needs upgrading.
The bed was very comfortable and bathroom facilities very clean. The staff we met were all quite helpful.
We wanted to visit the historic area, but not be right in it. Oglethorpe was away from the busyness of that area, just the right distance away. The unit was large and very comfortable.
Can' t think of anything we disliked.
The staff was very friendly and helpful May our first trip to Savannah a wonderful stay We would stay there again at the drop of a hat
We loved our room. It was big and roomy. Had a living room separate from the bedroom. Clean room, staff was friendly and helpful.
We usually don't have trouble with the bed but this time our bed was uncomfortable.
Good size, comfortable, friendly but then everyone seems to be in Savannah). The main eating area is large and airy
Breakfast not great. They wouldn't let me us ethe same towel for two days in a row despite my asking. Because of the large main area it can be a little echoing and noisy if lot of people in it.
Decor, spacious rooms, friendly staff (Kelly)
The hotel was in a great location for shopping and within 15 minutes from he riverwalk. The access to computers was excellent and wifi was excellent. The rooms look like they were remodel, but they did a very good job with them.
The fitness center didnot have a lot of options. I was unable to use it for a full day due to maintenance.
I liked everything. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a very nice stay.
I liked the Location. Friendly staff.
Did not like the bathroom, it's very small. Room windows very dirty.
Very comfortable bed. Quiet location.
