Score from 96 reviews Very good
Price was great for Hawaii, location was close to everything including free shuttles right outside the door.
Room was very dated; air conditioning didn't seem to work very well, a/c main units on rooftop was loud and annoying during the night
Location is ideal.
The elevators are a nightmare; you wait forever for them and you are lucky if you can squeeze in due to number of people. No a/c in elevators! Hotel appears to have not been updated in years! I know it's being demolished in early 2015.
It is an easy walk to Kuhio Beach - about two blocks. The hotel is in close proximity to very nice restaurants. There is parking at the hotel but during the evenings, there are not enough spaces so you are directed to an off-site location to park.
The room did not have a table or a desk. The shower head took not be adjusted as it was "locked" into place aimed at the corner making it difficult to use. There are only three elevators which are insufficient to handle hotel guests in an efficient manner.
Housekeeping service was outstanding.
NOisy esp. at night. Air conditioner unit on top floor. Only one night stand in room.
Elevator was not working so had to use stairs.
Everything...I think Hawaii puts you in a mood that is laid back and relaxed.
That it was very central to all areas in Waikiki for shopping and eateries and laundrymat the food supermarket across the street. Is being refurbished in September 2015.
Front desk staff very rude and un helpful just say sorry can not help you....
Location, location, location. Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Reasonably priced for the Waikiki market. Close to many food choices, bakery, ABC store (like 7-11). All transportation at front door. IE Tours, City Bus, Trolley, Very convenient to get around town.
Waikiki Beach itself is a complete JOKE.. We were there 1 week and didn't spend 10 minutes on Waikiki Beach. If you come for that save your money. Their are excellent other attractions, such as. Pearl Harbor, Circle Island Tours, and the Polynesian Cultural Center is a must.
Bed was comfortable and room was clean.
Room was small and in need of renovation. Hotel has declined in last 5 years. Pool closes very early which is inconvenient for people arriving for just one night. Front desk was very unfriendly and slightly hostile because my husband and I didn't have the same last name. Made us fill out 2 registration cards and treated us like we were breaking some law.
Good price, walking distance to the beach
View of the dumpster and ants in the kitchen cupboards. Extremely slow elevators, when requesting luggage storage the bellhop was very rude and not helpful.
The price was right. It is showing it's age, but was clean and comfortable. Three blocks from Kuhio Beach Park, four blocks from Royal Hawaiian Mall - very convenient to that part of Waikiki area.
The "parking" was atrocious - you need to rent a Smart car if you want to park in their their garage and be able to exit your car after parking. The attendant was helpful and parking at the Waikiki Trade Center was the same price ($25/24 hrs) as hotel and much roomier.
Liked the free trolley pass for travelling to Alamoana centre!!
rooms and facilities need to be updated. Also, lots of noise because of the construction at International market.
Check in was fast.
A.c was not working. Bathroom has poor lighting. Room has weird smell.
Location and free trolley
Noise from ongoing building from early morning
The position of the hotel
Poor air conditioner
Convenient location and good value.
Lack of WIFI in the room. You can't use an I-Pad as there is only a wired internet connection. No breakfast available, must leave the hotel.
Very helpfull and caring staff.
Great Location and the price was right!
A good place to sleep close enough to all shops
Elevators too slow
It's close to everything in downtown Waikiki.
They charge a lot for parking. It's a very small, tight, non-valet lot. Everything is old, small and cramped.
Location, Pool, Bar, Size of Room, Kitchenette, Staff was friendly and efficient
Pillows were lumpy, Bathroom Tiling needed some care
Location was excellent and having a supermarket across the street was a bonus. Short walk to the beach and shopping areas. Comfortable beds and a good shower. Pool area was great with happy hour in the evening a treat for a cocktail or two.
Very slow lifts. Construction noise from the demolition site across the street. No wine glasses in the kitchen for a tipple on the lanai in the evening. Limited supply of crockery & cutlery but sufficient for our needs.
