It was a cold day, blanket was not too comfy and warm
Nice Flat Screen:-)
I wanted to Control the heat,so We were Cold, I called and asked to turn up the Heat, still the room remained Chillllllllllllly
I love the place. It is very convenient for what we were there for. The ammenities were great as well. Who wouldn't enjoy free coffee, hot chocolate, hot tea and Iced tea!! Great stay away from home. The rooms are very cozy and clean.
I actually appreciated the free parking, but wished they had their own garage. It would have been a perfect stay.
Great value for a place so near local attractions. Had an apartment-like feel. The Leghorn fast food on site was great.
Location, Location, Location! Right in the heart of Miracle Mile with a lot of good restaurants within walking distance. The rooms were very clean, I was impressed! The staff was Great!
There wasn't anything to complain about!
Location! Six blocks away from the Magnificent Mile, walking distance to the Loop (bus stop right in front of the door). Free parking, our car stayed in the lot during our entire stay. Staff (24 h reception) was always friendly and helpful. Good deal first and foremost because of free parking. It is a 60's style roadside motel with standard furniture.
Free WiFi was erratic at best, we did not have a stabile connection for longer than five minutes. There was no way to regulate the heat from our room. Staff said they could adjust heat from the office, but when we called, there was no effect. Our room stayed at about (maybe even above) 80°F for our entire stay in late December. The only way to cool it down was to open the window and let in frigid air for hours. Opening the window let in traffic noise. Remodeling in progress, but it wasn't really bothering us.
Excellent price-free parking-walking distance to everything.
The parking...I was blocked in one morning due to limited spots due to the renovations that was going on...need more parking
The price was good. It was very clean & friendly staff.
The room was way too hot. We had to go up a narrow set of stairs in a run down hall. The room had carpen that look to be put down in the 60's, very old & worn. The room was small and uninviting. would not stay there again.
Location, staff, free parking
Wifi could be slow or kick me off. Walls were thin - we could hear people coming and going in the hall from our room.
Value for money and good position for a city hotel, and has own car park
No tea or coffee making facilities in room had to go to reception across car park, breakfast in dinner attached is very limited on choice better to eat out
Walking distance to many attractions. Staff very friendly.
Beds were a bit hard
The room was really nice, and the guys at the reception were great.
The motel don't offer breakefast for all residents.
Great location Excellent price Clean room Free wifi that works in your room Store your luggage for free Good TV Fridge and microwave Complimentary coffee and hot chocolate in main office
Room was quite hot and we weren't told you had to go to the main office to have them change the temperature. The McDonalds across the street is a bit sketchy and can get loud.
Location, convienvant to everything, free parking (if you can find it), mostly friendly staff, and comfortable beds.
The motel is being renovated but it does show its age at the moment, the carpet in the hallway, the shower head took some maneuvering, the tub drained slowly but these are all little blunders, I've stayed at Ohio House twice now and will return again.
Great location, nice room
Wifi doesn't work from time to time. Rooms have very poor sound proof - you can hear your neighbors talking clearly
I love this place. I've stayed several other places in Chicago, including the Palmer House, and this was by far the best. The location is wonderful -- just a couple blocks from the Red Line, and a lovely walk down the street to the Loop. The room was cozy and warm and very quiet. And I really love the little chicken shack on the corner.
WI-FI easy to use. Ohio House now offers free breakfast. Free parking. staff always pleasant and helpful.
Bed was concave and a bit lumpy, heat inconsistent, and toilet backed up our last morning there.
Location Free parking View from the window
Poor wifi (room within reception building).
Not a bad location nice people
Bed was hard as a rock
No fridge in room and no laundry close by
Old, pricey and not the cleanest. Okay for one night to crash.
Unique property, close location to everything and free parking. Bed and linens were very nice and enjoyed chatting with the manager over a fresh cup of coffee. All staff greeted me; cloud not have been better. I will stay here again!
Astonishing and outstanding customer service. If not the only existing motel in downtown north end. It's in the eatery location of Chicago, a few blocks from magnificent mile for shopping, walking distance to state st and other downtown areas. Red line station is nearby. They do offer free parking if you have a car but you need to ring to confirm or book a spot
Close to everything; free parking.
Extremely noise. We were up at 6am to slamming doors, walls seem to be thin, and you can definitely hear all that happens on the outside of your room. Not a place to relax, at all.
