Comfortable bed, self-controlled heat, nice linens and towels. Breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, homemade blueberry scones, and vegetable frittata - delicious!
Location, right next to a flowing river, not far off Route 91. Lots of charm and history, an authentic mill. Very welcoming host, informative and interesting. Fabulous breakfasts. Well appointed bathrooms, comfy beds.
Very thin walls. One can hear everything the people in the next room are saying and doing. Too much uninteresting art crammed along the hallways upstairs.
Clean comfortable small bedroom with everything we needed including coffee maker and additional heater.
Lack of information regarding local amenities ie restaurants especially as the innkeeper was not on site when we arrived so there was no one to ask.
very peaceful inn. The inn enabled me to relax and just enjoy. Loved the room and the furniture. Great tea pot collection. Breakfast was excellent. George the Inn keeper was very helpful and welcoming. I will make sure to go back again.
Everything was wonderful! The bed especially was out of this world! Most comfortable sleeping set up we have ever experienced, and the food in the morning was wonderful! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff as well!
Owner was very helpful with my wife's dietary problems and suggested local places of interest to visit. The breakfast was delicious.
Décor was not to our particular taste. However this is very much our taste and not a criticism. As a bed & breakfast it would be helpful to have information available on local recommended places to dine in the evening. Unfortunately the owner had to be out when we arrived so finding somewhere to eat was a problem.
mints in the room, bathroom was very clean and upgraded, breakfast was nice. area was quiet
The homely feeling, being welcomed by the owner and treated like a family member. The peace and quite, the pleasure of pampering myself to an overnight stay at the Old Mill. The deck ,gardens, flowing water, absolute heaven---Thank you.
The Old Inn is tucked away, might be nice to sign post in the village.
I liked the setting of the house in the woods next too the river.. everything was very clen and kept up with. George the :NEW OWNER: inherited a huge task to make the place great. I do believe he is doing just that a step atime.. I guarantee in two months the place will be much improved place to stay.
no refrig in room, needed a safety bar in bathtub(I'm GETTIN OLD LOL) maybe some lounge chairs to sit in the sun. I see George is installing a nice walk down in the back that is just one of the many things I see being improved
Very peaceful, inviting place. The background of the waterfall helped add to the calm - did not interfere with sleep or anything else. Food was great too! Lot's of parking and easy access to local roads and routes. Close to a corner store too.
Very quaint inn with delightful staff and the coolest Monopoly set ever! A bit off the beaten path but that's part of the charm.
George was an extremely warm and friendly host. He cooked us a wonderful breakfast and brought it outside to the patio where we could enjoy the view of the falls.
the room was hot when we arrived. It's an old building so it took a long time for the window A/C to kick in. It would've been great if the A/C was put on in anticipation of our arrival.
Bathrooms were nice and the sound of waterfalls was very relaxing
There never seemed to be any staff around. The rooms seemed small compared to pictures provided
sound of the adjacent waterfall lulled me to sleep. The bed was amazingly confortable.
could have used a small table or shelf in bathroom for toilet kit.
Easy access to I-91, but the Old Mill Inn is world away from the usual interstate hotel chain. The decor and artwork are lovely, and the sound of water flowing over the dam is a great sleeping potion. The breakfast was home-cooked and delicious.
There isn't much to see or do in Hatfield itself, but not far from Northampton and Amherst.
very friendly innkeeper good scones
out of the way hard to find at night high beds
Comfortable bed. Good breakfast.
The Old Mill in was on the bank of a river with a waterfall that was lovely to listen to while falling asleep. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was helpful.
Everything. My fiancé and I very much enjoyed everything about the inn
There was nothing to complain about. Everything was wonderful
Loved the history of the building. The location was beautiful and we enjoyed listening to the falls while we slept. The inn is very quiet, you would never know there are other guests staying there until you go down for breakfast. Food was excellent!
Host was so nice. We had come in from West Coast on red eye to visit Hamshire College. He took one look at us and put us in our room at 11:30am! Bed was very comfy/cozy. Breakfast the next morning delightful.
Staff was superb! Personal attention during breakfast and pleasant conversations.
