Score from 65 reviews Exceptional
Very comfortable beds and great price.
Coffee cups that were old had been left on the porch.Bathroom sink did not drain.
this hotel is a bit run down, we booked a room with fully equipped kitchen but when we arrived, there were no blankets (it was cold) and there was nothing in the kitchen! so we got the room changed and at least we had some plates and blankets…that was all. The stuff in the office were helpful but all we got were 1 rusted pot&pan, which nobody would have used, better just throw away. We were promised 1 new pot and 1 new pan (was all we needed), but never got any…. So all in all we do not recommend this place unless they really make some renovation and advertise the place the way it is, then it will be up to you to book there or not.
Noise of pool repair
The cleanliness There was a refrigerator and a nice keruig coffee machine Which along with the tv we were told not to steal when we checked in (I am not kidding )
The wifi kept cutting out. The TV system did not work and when I called the office (from my cell phone because no phone in the room) the manager said he would be right up. I called back over 20 minutes later since he never showed up and a woman answered and said that her manager had just left but he had called our room to ask if it still wasn't working. ( like it magically had started up)I asked her what # he had called since I hadn't given my cell phone and she said our room phone. And we hadn't answered so he left I told her we hadn't answered due to no phone in our room She was silent and then said she didn't know how to fix the tv. I repeated that we would really like to have tv. She said she would call the manager back to do it. He never came that night Next morning early a knock while we were showering to leave and he wanted to fix it. I asked for him to come back after we left and he said he would He never did and that evening the young man at the desk had to come and try and fix it. Also bring us towels and TP since no one came to replace towels or needed toiletries like toilet paper. Not remaking our beds was fine but... Anyway to end this he accidentally got tv channels after 20 minutes of pushing buttons. He had gotten it a few minutes earlier but shut it off to show me what to do and then couldn't make it work again for a bit . I told him if he got it working again to just leave it and I would only turn it off once I was done for the night and we were leaving the next morning The light outside our windows never went out and the blinds would barely close The blankets were thin and barely covered us
The bed was so-so, we did sleep ok, except when a train went by...
Frig was not clean with stuff in it left by others, stove was dirty and did not work, bath tub was dirty (would not use it), Internet was not great (off and on), holes in the wall, some electrical plugs did not work, phone was not connected, pots and pans; dishes, etc. were dirty, sort of scum on them (did not use); we stayed in a cottage, which was best they had according to the staff. We left as fast as possible!!!!!
The staff was not very helpful. our reservations were confused when we arrived. there were no towels in our room. The next morning when we asked the front desk for some, we were told they didn't have any clean and it would be a couple of hours before some would be available. we had to leave, so we had to leave without showers! not good! also, TV didn't work!
close to beach
housekeeping never cleaned the room
close to beach & "downtown". Friendly, helpful staff.
K-cups. Much more cost effective (FOR MANAGEMENT & for guests) to just have a small coffee pot (Cost about $10). Also would have liked washcloths and not just bath and hand towels in bathroom (oh, and paper towels &/or dish towels too)
size of rooms Excellent wifi Prompt response to TV issue in spite of inability to resolve. We received a $32.00 refund on our card for this Proximity to beach Owner advised that next time we come the place will be much prettier
bath room dated No kettle for boiling water for tea drinkers Double bed was a honeymooners double Carpet in hallway & stairs very worn.
The staff was very attentive and cordial. The room was very spacious. We stayed at 4 different hotels/inns including the Copley Place Westin in Boston and we both agree that we were most comfortable at Grand Beach Inn.
The swimming pool was not clean and was very unattractive. (We stayed there after the swimming season.)
Location and price.
Facilities need maintenance and upgrading.
Room was never cleaned! When we asked for towels on the 2nd day, they had 1! Magnet was yelling at guests during the night! We will never return!
close to the water,we had a nice walk on the beach
end of the season, coffee shop was closed, none in the room.luckily the office had some
1.4 miles from the pier
The room had no towels. I asked the front desk in person if I could have some towels to take a shower. The woman assured me that some would be brought to my room and it never happened.
Room was large with a balcony.
WIFI was very spotty. Kept getting disconnected.
Moldy, mildew, old smelly
Location was good, room was clean. Plenty of parking and staff was friendly.
Carpets in the room neaded to be cleaned. No curtians on the windows. Stairwells needed to be cleaned, carpet very dirty. Bathroom was not stocked with anything including towels. Room not cleaned every day. Heat in room did not work.
Keurg coffee maker. Spacious
Only 1 pod in the room for 2 people. Stains on the carpet, rusted baseboard heater, damage to walls around the blinds and in the bathroom, nasty bathtub. Yes the price was cheap and that is just what we got, a learning experience. The online photos looked nice, but deceiving. At one time this was probably a very nice place!
The main thing that was frustrating to me is that we were staying at this hotel for 4 days and we did not get have the room cleaned or new towels brought once. The place was nice and the people at the front were very nice but 4 days without new towels was not my favorite.
Don't bother. Room was not serviced unless requested. Stained carpets. Beds were short sheeted. Very shabby and dirty hallways and stairs.
&Quot;NOT a THING"
Sandy floor, bad heater, COFFEE MAKER NON-FUNCTIONAL, NO COFFEE IN OFFICE, NO BREAKFAST, SINCE CLOSED. VERY NOISE AT NIGHT, THIN WALLS. HAD COFFEE AND BREAKFAST AT ROYAL ANCHOR ACROSS THE STREET.
Price and location
rooms did not look very nice, looked old and not well kept hallways did not look like they had been cleaned in years no coffee maker over all, the place needs a good refurbishing.
The pool was closed, couldn't use it.. false advertisement about a got tub they dont have..
