Greatview great location fantastic customer service
I love everything. Lotion from I live was only 2 hours. Place is very well kept. Kitchen has everything you need. Beds are very comfortable.
Beautiful scenery. So hospitable. Breathtaking view.
The Location was fantastic and our hosts were exceptionally great hosts.
The location was amazing. Ray was so helpful could not do enough for us. The log cabins a great. Denise was great fun with a great personality. I would certainly recommend Oliver Lodge for a holiday.
Internet not great.
Dont know where to start - thought we had arrived in paradiise! Visiting from UK doing tour of NH, Vermont, Boston & NY meant we only had 2 nights of bliss at Oliver Lodge. We are just one couple but had a whole 4 bed lodge to ourselves on the lake edge, with bbq and firepit. Overlooking the propertys' island and lodge house. So beautiful (and we were lucky with the weather) Free use of canoes, pedloes, sailboat mean you could spend days on the lake aswell. Denise was such a sweetie and helped us with the canoes, she has an abundance of knowledge of the natural surroundings and is such a lovely helpful person, love you Denise. (it is what it is, right! haha) We really hope to visit again one day
nothing at all - dont go anywhere else if you are anywhere near the lake Winipausakee you must visit Oliver Lodge!!
Loved the canoes that guests could use.
Probably fine as a vacation destination for families or groups.
Not so nice as a stop-over en-route to someplace else. No sound-proofing between our room and the common room below so you hear every word; not great when you're trying to sleep. Bathroom reminded me of a restroom on an airplane.
WIFI spotty. TV unusable.
Everything! Main lodge area is huge, with a great fire, and numerous different places to sit, pool table, TV and huge choice of games. Bedroom was sumptuous, comfortable, cosy and the best views I've ever had from a bed, out of both windows. Kitchen facilities were second to none. Location is just stunning. And then there were BBQ grills, hammocks, canoes, kayaks, a hobie cat etc etc, all free to use when you want. Ray couldn't have been more welcoming. Cannot recommend highly enough to anyone, whether they are a couple, a family or a huge group. Wonderful.
everything!! This is the one time the internet did not make the property look better then it is.
We were given a tour of the buildings and the history of the resort.
We absolutely Love it!!!! We will definitely come back next summer :)
This is a perfect place to get away from civilization. We booked the A-frame house which is a home island. You are given a boat to use during your stay to transport yourself back and forth to the mainland. It feels like you are inside a tree house in the middle of the lake. The front deck is excellent to lounge and eat meals. The island is all yours. There is a fire pit at the back of the house for s'mores. The dock in front of the house is where we jump off to swim in the lake. The air is cool anytime that there is no need for AC. It is an excellent place to gaze at the stars at night as you lay on the deck - just wear some bug spray. The property has kayaks, canoes, rowboats and paddle boards for use to all guests. The lodge has other houses but ours is the only one on an island which is about 100 feet away from the mainland. All in all it is the best summer vacation ever.
The wife connection is poor and bathroom is small.
There was an incredible view but my stay was very short unfortunately. I'd love to go back and enjoy the serenity.
Going up a
We would have liked to stay a week or more. Great place right on the water with so many things to do with kayaks, Sailboat and more all right there. The host is super friendly and aims to please. Will go back for sure.
mountain & lake views comfortable spacious room accommodating staff pristine water to swim/boat/fish
that our vacation was over & back to reality
Friendly staff beautiful views clean well cared for property
We had to leave
Booked here last minute without knowing anything about the place. But after being there we will make it a yearly thing. Management was great and very personable and the accommodations were awesome. Very quiet part of the lake where there is a no wake zone so you don't get the loud boats flying bye.
With the money I paid, I think I could do far better. It was like spending a night at your friend's grandma's house. I thought it said there was a restaurant. There is a kitchen on the other hand. The bed and the bathroom had hair from someone else. No tub in the bathroom. Bring your own soap and shampoo, and a hairdryer. You might want to bring slippers, like you stay at your grandma's house.
