Off of Interstate 5, this DuPont hotel features an indoor pool and a 24-hour business center. It serves a daily hot breakfast. The state capitol city of Olympia is a 20-minute drive away.
Score from 27 reviews Wonderful
We ate at the best Japenese restaurant walking distance from the hotel.
It just didn't feel clean.
Box spring looked like it had not been changed in a very long time. Was torn sideways. Carpet was not very clean. Had to plug in lamps for lighting. Shower did not drain very well. Tub was a quarter full when I finished in there. No remote control either. Would maybe recommend if this was the last room in the world. Not sure how this place gets any business.
You can easily here noises, out side the room...
I had already specified a late check-in, yet no one was in the office upon arrival. Lied about door bell which wasn't working. Jacked up the price last minute
Good price, but was a little run down
Location was great.
Bed bugs. Terrible customer service.
Typical roadside motel; I imagine the other occupants can make your stay decent or less so...A/C deadened the sounds and worked OK. Not much to speak otherwise.
Drug dealers in parking lot And questionable safety Or security for persons and property
Location, location, location!
Everything else: it was dirty, dingy, outdated, didn't see a coat of paint in forever and overall despair is overwhelming. Alfred Hitchcock would love to shoot in this motel. I know-i know-i know, economy is bad, everyone's struggling, paint is expensive nowaday and not everyone can afford to clean rooms every day. But what about hospitality? This doesn't cost much or financial situation also ruined this famous small-town feature? I really don't understand the hotel keeper's desire to oust us at 11am sharp. What's the need for that? There weren't any maids waiting for us to clean the room to the perfection (and judging by the state of the room, it hasn't seen a good maid in forever). Hotelkeeper called my room at 10:45am promptly asking us to vacate the room. Really? Uhm, ok. I asked for an hour extension. No, can't do. How about 20 minutes? She was reluctant but agreed to 20 minutes extension. She called me again at 11:15am. At 11:20am her boyfriend was knocking on our door demanding us to leave. We didn't finish shower (yes, my bf is slow as a snail but still!) and just were rushed out of the room. A nearest bus stop has became our shelter. In 5 minutes that said boyfriend comes to our bus stop demanding remote to their ancient tv that I was afraid to touch. Remote? Seriously? He thinks I really need remote to your tv? Is he afraid that I'll send it to the Smithsonian as an artifact of the prehistoric age and thus rob him of fame and money? No, I told him, we have computers so we don't need your tv and we didn't touch it. We don't have your remote. Anyway, bottom line is that the motel is ok-ish for the price and location. If you can afford not to stay here, you shouldn't stay here. Otherwise -- relax and try to enjoy the famous Olympian hospitality (or lack of thereof, to be precise).
went to get a some coffee, the door was locked, and the gentleman was smoking a cig, and didn't even pay attention to me. the way he looked and dress I felt I was in some horror movie. we will not stay there again.
The staff were excellent and responsive to my needs and refunded my room fee for the trouble.
Clearly whomever owns the property does not care about the condition of the suites. The rook leaked in several places including over my bed all night! The condition of the roof tiles indicated this was not an isolated incident. The bathroom was clean but excessively worn and torn. The bathtub would not drain and would fill during a shower.
Bed was comfortable. It was quiet.
Room did not smell fresh, but had the stale odor of a one time smoking room.
The location was perfect for us. One of the owners, the husband I think, was very pleasant.
The wife's customer service was not so great. We ordered a king bed and we were handed a key. Went up to the room to find that someone was in it already. Not that big of a deal but when we went back into the office, the wife talked to us instead. She didn't apologize, was a little rude and then put us in a room with 2 doubles.
Lights not working, dirty bathroom, broken toilet, burns on bedspread, smelly of smoke in "non-smoking" room, tacky faded pictures (2 the same!), slow check-in, unfriendly staff, generally run-down looking. Not expensive but have had many better value rooms on our journey recently.
Location and parking. Good TV, refrigerator and microwave. Quiet at night.
It was not clean. Cigarette burns in the blanket. No cup or bar of soap. No maid service that I could tell. Bed not made and trash not emptied.
Great location for restaurants nearby, especially liked Wagner's European Bakery & Cafe, just 1 block south on Capitol Way.
Wasn't able to access wi-fi, there was only 1 lamp which had a knob to turn on; had to use a pliers to turn the others on.
Fantastic location. It was easy to walk to restaurants and even bars in the evening (without driving)
The wi-fi kept dropping all day and night. Very frustrating. I eventually just had to drive over to the McDonalds. Also, they put they gave me two bath mats but no bath towel. I didn't find this out until I took a shower in the morning and wasn't going to call down for one at 6:30 when I got up.
The location & price
Not clean & no Wi-Fi
I guess the shower if anything.
The cockroaches and bed bugs
No coffee maker Bathroom sink plug stuck down Water came out of faucet brown.
Helpful manager and employee, acknowledged the hotel issues. Helped me get upstairs and find my daytime destination.
Run down. Noise and general environment. No way to sleep through people yelling and pounding on doors, drunk and worse. Many rooms are actually long term rentals to mentally ill patients subsidized by the govt. Until they change that, the place is not much better than tenement housing for the otherwise homeless. I understand that's how their life is for them...but that's NOT what not what someone traveling should have to pay for when booking even a basic room somewhere.
The location and that is it.
Staff. Our room wasn't very comfortable, and our bathroom smelled strongly of urine.
Location, good value for where it is. Regular room.
Staff are so high they are bothered to have guests. I was given the wrong key several times, and they would not let me leave my backpack for an hour after checkout the next day. This is the only time I have ever been refused that!
There was virtually nothing to like about this place. It was close to the business I had to attend to is the best I can do.
It was dirty when I checked in. Hairs all over the bathroom. All the facilities were rundown and/or broken and there seemed to be a lot of homeless looking people staying there.
