I really enjoyed staying at the Omni Berkshire Place. The location is great close to Rockefeller center and Fifth Avenue. The hotel is very clean and comfortable - the staff is helpful and friendly. Nice bar and restaurant. I will stay there again.
I did not have any coffee in my room. But I found out you can arrange to have delivered. Room service does not start until later.
Room spacious and clean, ice machine
TV not high definition, no kettles on room,
Courteous staff at reception, concierge, housekeeping and the bell-boys and doormen.
Roll-out bed's mattress needs replacement. Springs were poking out and hurting the back.
Great location - right in the middle of everything New York. Walk or quick ride to all the sites and restaurants. Doormen extremely friendly and helpful. Great breakfast buffet. Will definitely return to this hotel soon!
small room, view of a wall, disappointing service, badly overpriced
The hotel has a great location and does not feel overun.
By booking with Booking.com (third party) the hotel did not honor points for staying at the Omni Berkshire. It also did not honor free email for members. You will need to book on there website direct to get both of these.
Easy access hotel- very good service Quiet comfortable room Daily newspapers-even Sunday NY times Staff was very helpful and accommodating
Unhappy with Omni Select program which is a very "user unfriendly" loyalty program-it actually discourages brand loyalty- other chains do it much better-Starwood, Hyatt and Hilton for example
did not recieve what i requested until i arrived at the hotel charge addition funds to increase the cost of the hotel. was sent to a room that was not clean asked to be close to my friends that didn't happen. ask for late check out wanted to charge me after i requested that too.
Service and location
Noisy on the street
Hotel has excellent loyalty program (you can sign up for free before the stay) which includes free wi-fi (with very good quality), complimentary morning drink (coffee, tea, soft drink or juice), free newspaper and welcome fruit basket with extra bottles of water. On the hotel website I was able to describe my expectations and all these were met - I asked and got quiet corner room on high floor, away from elevators. Midtown location gives possibility to walk many places incl Central Park. Room was spacious enough with two extremely comfortable double beds. Room incl also in-room safe, working desk and a arm-chair. Hotel is well maintained, has concierge and bell-boy service available; all staff was very helpful - so it was a pleasant stay.
there were very few things from negative side, like: - no ventilation in bathroom; after shower it looked like steam-bath - air-conditioning made some noise - invoice included also fee for wi-fi, even though it was free for loyalty customers. Receptionist who corrected the invoice didn't even say 'sorry'.
This hotel was outstanding. After traveling to NY several times, this is by far the best hotel. From the moment we checked in everyone was great, beds were very comfortable, very good size rooms and quite luxurious. What a great deal from booking.com we only paid $169 a night. I suggest joining the Omni club (its free) this gives you free WiFi, coffee, water and newspaper.
There is nothing to not like.
price in resturant was shocking
Location is okay..
Staff Rooms Beds Cleanliness Service had problems with the wifi in the hotel and the staff wouldn't bother to help, overall I think this was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in, and I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here !! Everything is old and not really clean. It looks better in the pictures.
Robes and bathrooms were not clean. Towels threadbare
The staff, location and overall hotel was excellent. I have stayed here more than any hotel in New York. Love it!!'
We love the size and location of this hotel, we have been staying there for almost 15 years!
night construction keeps me awake
Clean. Decent size room.
The view was horrible.
Location, location, location!! Our room and bathroom was very spacious. Great customer service especially the doormen! Will def. go back.
One or 2 nights trouble sleeping due to city noise...but it is NYC!
- very willing, polite, effective staff - ok sized (for NYC) room, bathroom, bed - great food - interesting, lively, yet accommodating bar - fast, quickly available elevators - good wifi reception - quiet room as I had requested (though it was facing the inside, but that makes sense in NY) - overall: was my first stay at Omni, would happily stay again!
- was next to cleaner's cupboard so could hear doors slamming in the morning, I suppose they can rectify this with a soft-closing mechanism.
Position was fabulous
Location is excellent. Nice update and redecoration of an aging building.
Room was somewhat small. It's an old building.
Exceptional service, location and value...we have stayed there over 20 times and, it is our "Hotel of Choice" in NYC
Location was good. Food at the restaurant was not bad.
Was not anywhere close to being worth $500 a night for a standard room. Bathroom light bulb burnt out while in the shower. Staff unapologetic. Ordered continental breakfast for 3 from room service, but the amount of food was barely enough for one person. And we are small Japanese!
Great location, just around the corner from MoMA, close to Broadway, Times Square, Central Park.
Relatively small room with basically no view (dark, ugly backyard)
