Location Wifi Free coffee / wine in lobby friendly staff
lack of good bar / dining options Gym / Spa Room views
location was GREAT, floor to ceiling windows with city view
-location: many good bars and restaurants in the area, but still quiet in the hotel -friendly staff -good advise for restaurants in the area -decent sized room
- late check-in time (4 pm), but the staff arranged for us to check in at 3 pm - low water pressure in the shower
cleanliness. Excellent bed. WIFI worked very well.
Room Service charged different amounts for the same beakfast each day (2).... No explanation... Room was not ready until 4 pm. No map of the area provided (it would be really useful). Lobby is really really really tiny, difficult to deal with more that one person at a time.
We were here for my fiancee birthday ans it was a wonderfull time. The view from the room is magic and everybody is professional and sympathic. A very good place
It's a gorgeous space, location, and view.
The hotel is showing its age. It's in much need of paint, cleaning, and other updates.
All the doormen, especially Lester, are very, very friendly.
Loved the Lower East Side vibe- easy walking distance to Soho and the West Vilage. The room was such a decent size- incredibly spacious, bed so comfortable, great bathroom and terrific mini bar.I will stay there again for sure.
Location is excellent, in the middle of Lower East Side and close by the subway. The rooms are surprisingly big.
We had a leak in the ceiling of our room which we reported. We were told that they were going to fix it during the day. When we got back nothing was fixed. We had to call back asking. We were told that they could not fix it and they offered no alternative. Given that sleeping in a room with a water coming from the ceiling was not an option for us, we had to ask for a new room. Only after insisting they gave us a new room and then a complimentary bottle of wine. All in all it ended up fine and we moved to a new room; however it was not appreciated that the hotel staff did not automatically looked for a solution for our case.
The rooms had a fantastic setting and view..even though some somewhat small. Our kids were very impressed with the staff who were all "cool guys/galls" , (yet very friendly).
The temeperature in the rooms were not easy to regulate..took us a few days to figure it out. One room too cold, one too warm. Breakfast room was dark and not very inviting in that sence...but then again lots of great cafes in the environment to go for breakfast.
The location is fantastic. LES is my favourite neighborhood to hang out and party in NY
It´s quite expensive but all NY is the same... We booked a suite for 3 and the 3rd person had to sleep in a supletory bed
The beds were comfortable and the rooms were quiet for the most part.
The bathrooms. I stayed at the Hotel on Rivington a total of twelve nights over four business trips and the one thing common amongst each room I stayed in was the exposed bathroom. By that I mean no privacy. One room in particular had floor to ceiling windows that offered no privacy to the the outside world. Once inside the bathroom you were completely exposed. I also did not like the black floor tile, it didn't make me feel confident the bathrooms were every clean enough.
This is purely booking.com's fault: Your website claimed the room offered a spa tub. It didn'T. Unfortunately, that was the search term I'd used to find a hotel for a special night with my girlfriend. It was something I'd promised her. Your website did not correspond to what the hotel offers.
Check in staff was great. The housekeeping staff were FANTASTIC. The front door people were horrible. The room was the largest of any I have stated @ in NYC.
Gym was very small & the air was not turned on in the room.
Staff were lovely and friendly
Super nice staff. Free breakfast was a genuine meal from their excellent restraunt.
Some of those pictures are downright awful.
I like the openminded Staff and the casual atmosphere
Poor wifi and Street noice when staying at lower levels
Great location, lively neighborhood.
Heating system in the room was not reliable.
The memory foam mattresses were fabulously comfortable, I liked the dark corridors and dramatic lighting.
I loved everything about our stay; especially how polite and accommodating the staff was.
This was an excellent stay and hotel. We arrived at 10 am and went to the hotel hoping to lock our bags up until the check in at 3pm. The room we reserved was ready and was allowed to check in that morning, no wait. Loved this place.
Mini bar was a bit expensive but then again, it's NYC.
Room is spacious enough for 1 person. Probably not enough closet space for 2. Bed very comfy and view from higher up was incredible - curtains open up completely for great city viewing from 2 sides+small metal balcony
Lower rooms with clear shower walls (corner room) overlook a roof parking lot - too close for comfort. Moving up from 11 to 18 solved it. Took a long while if at all to fix shower problems (one was ignored, the other was fixed by an "the water knob gets stuck sometimes - use some force" . answer. Location is just about 4-5 blocks from where i would have rather stayed. Didn't feel very safe when walking back alone from bus/subway in the . dark. Closet in room well maintained but old -closet shelves peeling and crooked hangers. Staff at restaurant (breakfast) rude and mostly absent. Quite pricey given what's offered
Nice staff, good rate and location.
Hard bed and drafty room.
