I loved my room and the vicinity of the hotel. I was only 2 blocks from The Beacon Theater where I was attending a show, and only 3 blocks from my favorite bakery Levain Bakery. The bed was more comfortable then my own at home. Loved my Keruig on my room I will defiantly stay here everytime Im in The Upper West Side.
Absolutely Nothing Everthing was Awesome.
I really enjoyed this boutique hotel for it's charm and the location was perfect for us. It's just a few blocks away from Central Park and in close proximity to many great resturants. The penthouse suite we stayed in had two terraces and a living space with it's own television. The bed was very comfy so my partner and I slept very well. The staff members were very friendly and accommodating. This hotel definitely gets an A+ in the guest service category.
While we enjoyed the view of the terrace off of the bedroom, the terrace nearest the living area faced the rear of the hotel. The fluorescent lighting coming from the adjacent upper-level hallway on the north side of the building really ruined the outdoor ambience. Also, there was no refrigerator in this hotel room which made it difficult for us since we brought bottles of celebratory champagne with us for the occasion. Despite these details, I still rate this hotel very high and most likely will return!
I liked the excellent location, knowledgable and courteous staff, the size of the room, the quiet atmosphere in the room and the well edited decor.
I did not like that the toilet paper dispenser guaranteed that every stranger is handling the whole role of toilet paper and that the pillows smelled like they were hanging out at a bar all night and did not have an opportunity to shower before showing up in you bed.
Our stay was fantastic! Staff was friendly and accommodating.
The room was very clean and quite large, especially as this is NY where most rooms are small. Bed was extra comfy too.
The room wasn't ready when we arrived, requested a walk in shower and it was over a shallow tub. Fortunately it wasn't too much of a step up.
stuff and service is good. location could not be better.
standard room 903, sometimes(late-midnight) I had incredible huge noise. it will come from inside of wall,, something conditioner or electrical mechanical gadget. I think, " oh, I am now taking off!!" so like as jet noise when plane taking off.. hotel manager absolutely should check it.
Our room was quiet and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Check-in was a breeze. We were on the 14th floor and had a beautiful view. It was too cold to use the terrace but in warmer weather it would be a real plus. The lounge areas were very inviting.
Parking in that area was a bit difficult, most of the garages were full.
Very Spacious. Newly renovated. Large walk out deck.
I was never notified when the room was ready. I left my bags and went about our day and called around 3:10 and room was ready.
Location, friendliness, lobby.
Location, bar, staff
What I like about my stay was the bed.
What I didn't like about my stay was my room was not clean for my entire stay.
Location was perfect! Employees/Staff friendly & very efficient First time guest & to my surprise received an upgrade!! Suite was very nice!
Bathroom ceiling needed to be fixed
The friendliness and high standards of housekeeping. Housekeeping staff were the most friendly staff of all the hotel staff.
The service from the doorman when i checked out & asked for a taxi to be hailed. That particular doorman palmed the job off to another when he made it clear he was only interested in helping if i was after the hired car service. Very disappointed as my stay was otherwise pleasant.
The location and the concierge staff were great . Comfy bed and good TV.
Very dark bedroom and minimalist bathroom. On returning to hotel at midnight thirty on a Friday night could not get a drink as bar already shut. Not enough staff for breakfast.
This was my 3rd or 4th stay at nylo. Staff is great! Location perfect. Lobby is very cool and European. Rooms are nice and comfortable but wood floors a bit chilly.
When you pay over $300 per night for a room it would be really nice to have a real glass in my room instead of little flimsy plastic cups. I bring them from the lobby bar but housekeeping does not ever take them away. Strange! Would also be nice to eat at the lobby bar with a real fork and knife. I do hate plastic.Seems strange for such a nice hotel. Was enjoying some chicken wings and my fork broke. Just not cool!!
I stayed at NYLO the weekend before Thanksgiving, in a Lifestyle Loft on the 16th floor. While the room was a nice drive and had a great view, many amenities had not been cleaned, not were they maintained. The curtain for the large balcony window was dusty, and could hardly be moved around the home of the balcony door -- an unfortunate design flaw. One of the light fixtures next to the bed was broken (that surely attributed somewhat to the room price.) In the bathroom, three of the six assorted white towels provided were stained. In addition, the bathroom smelled of weed the entire time, which must have been coming through the vent from someone else's room, but nonetheless, was very unpleasant. Overall, the accommodations were overpriced for the value, and I'd likely stay elsewhere if I were to return to the upper west side.
Really comfortable bed and pillows, great bar area, helpful staff. Good location, away from the chaos but only by a 5/10 min walk.
Paper thin interconnecting door to next room - could hear everything going on!
Staff were great
Ventilation noise & vibration ruined our stay
In a tight bind with nowhere to stay due to airline issues. We were taken care extremely well.
Room size was nice, bed very comfortable.
Hallways smelled musty!
Close to the "no baggage" exit of the NYC Marathon Comfortable bed
I requested a quiet room, but they assigned me a room that was quite noisy. My room 1114 had a door connecting it to another room 1115 (which was locked), however, I could see light coming through AND clearly hear their TV and conversations. It was irritating the night before the NYC Marathon to hear them turn their TV on at 11:45PM!!! I was trying to sleep and had to call down to the front desk TWICE to ask them to send someone to tell the neighbors to be quiet.
I liked being in walking distance to Lincoln Center for the Film Festival. Transportation and location is great for the museums across Central Park and for Broadway theaters. The Serafina restaurant in the hotel is terrific, and very comfortable for informal meals at convenient hours. Hotel staff very accommodating.
Really, I have no complaints!
Staff are helpful and friendly. Bed was excellent!
Single glazed windows, esp in bathroom meant it was noisy and pretty chilly. Bathrooms should have additional heatin for winter months.
The room was a typical New York size but very clean. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the bar and the restaurant. Great area on the upper west side near lots of restaurants and shops. Easy access to the subway.
A beautiful hotel close to the major NYC museums and the subway. Very efficient and helpful staff. I'll stay there each time I visit the city.
