A beautiful hotel close to the major NYC museums and the subway. Very efficient and helpful staff. I'll stay there each time I visit the city.
Decor and the vibe was enjoyable
Room was extremely small and cramped-no upgrade available.
The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The rooms were clean and modern. It was a good location, close to the natural history museum, a subway line, and a 24 hour CVS store.
We were offered an adjoined room as we were checking in an hour early and our room wasn't ready, so we happily accepted. Unfortunately we soon realised we could hear our neighbours as clearly as if they were in the room with us. On the second night we had to ask to move as the guests next to us were too loud. The staff were really helpful and got us set up in a new room straight away (at midnight!)
Best bit was the bar and lounge area, very stylish and comfortable with relaxed staff. The bed was also the best we have ever had in a hotel but it looks funny when you walk into the room as it's so high.
Our room had a connecting door to the next room that had no sound proofing at all. At 6.30am it sounded like the next door guests were actually in our room, they were only speaking normally not even shouting. Make sure you have a separate room.
Very comfortable beds and friendly staff
When we arrived they didn't have a room with a king size bed ready as we had booked and it was going to be a 4-5 hour wait for that so we had to take a room with a queen. Not the end of the world but we were tired from travelling and really excited for the king size bed so it was a little disappointing.
The quality of the staff. The incredibly good bed. The complimentary glass of Champagne at 5 pm... The location.
The quality of the bathroom. The stainless steel sink was not very convenient.
Staff and bar tenders were great! Very helpful. First time in New York City and it was amazing.
We liked the room and the hotel in general. Very clean, friendly staff, nice rooms and roomy for NYC hotels. Good location in the Upper West Side and subway access to sights and shopping
Modern yet cozy; you feel great to come back "home" after walking around all day long; the bar at the lobby is inviting and funny yet doesn't disturb who wants to sleep
The bed is too soft; little noisy after 8 a.m. due to maid's work
Location is best thing about this hotel... I think if you're a single business traveler, this hotel would probably meet expectations.
Probably the smallest hotel room my husband and I have stayed in...nice king bed but no sitting area and no bureaus; small desk set-up with chair only and locker room closet; room set-up similar to what you'd find in a dorm room...great location but for price we paid, I expected more; will definitely seek out other hotels first before staying here again.
- location - excellent bedding - new decoration - rooftop terrasse
- no minibar in room - tiny bathroom - soundproofing inefficient
Location & bar.
Bathroom was a little generic. Wifi not free.
What's not to like
- large room - free upgrade, incl. free wifi - friendly staff
Clean rooms Nice Decor Bar Tenders were very cool
Price Beds & pillows left something to be desired Dark Entrance, not very welcoming
Great location , a lot of restaurant near by
There is a construction site near hotel , very noisy
The entrance of the hotel with the bar and live music is very charming in the evenings. Rooms are small but beds are very comfortable and coffe is good.
Unfortunately I stayed in a room next to a construction and they started at 7 am. The hotel management was sensitive to my complaints and offered to change my room.
No free wi-fi in the room.
Location and staff
Room was quite small but would stay again
Good Service Relatively spacious room Very clean Great atmosphere Nice design Rooftop bar
Internet in the room could have been a bit faster. Internet in the lobby was very good though.
Great 'wooden' flooring- no dust, no smell! Very good beds. Excellent location.
The price is a little steep, also because of the extra (city and tax) costs!
Location, Close to central park and Columbus Circle
Room was dated and small, not at all as shown on pictures.
Great location in Upper West Side neighbourhood, a safe and attractive neighbourhood close to Central Park and the Museum of Natural History. Metro station close by and many restaurants in the neighbourhood. Clean and stylish hotel. Lobby is cosy and bar and restaurants offer good quality.
Early check-in was approved by mail but upon arrival I had to wait for 1h30 before my room was ready. Apparently there were issues with check-in that day. Address is not easy to find (access through side-street of Broadway despite Broadway address given).
Room was clean, dorm like. The coffee available in the am at the bar good. Change of pace staying in upper west side, a good location .
Very noisy air conditioner
Location was excellent becasue it was near a metro station and also central park
Hotel advises to use Serefino which was an awful place to eat, service was slow, they brought the wrong food, server was rude. Bar staff in the lobby of the hotel are clearly new to this industry. Young lady forgot my drink, young man charged me $2.50 for a small cup of loop warm coffee, reason it was near cold was because he was socialising with friends. Our room had an adjoining room door. The door did not fit very well and as such the noise and light from next door was unacceptable. Air conditioning ducting in the entrance lobby was condensating to the point of severly leaking on top of people as they entered into the room
