The liquid soap and shampoo dispensers in the bathtub. They do not work properly.
Staff, location, valet parking
We checked in late and the receptionist was very friendly and good.
It could be cleaner - carpets are obviously old and in need of either replacement or just remove
The location is unbeatable. Right in the heart of Foggy Bottom across from Washington Circle and close to all attractions. The staff is super friendly. The rooms are spacious and nicely furnished. The bed is super comfortable. The food at Cafe Bistro is fabulous as is the room service. The room was clean. The bathroom was very nice and had an ample supply of towels and toiletries including cotton. You can make your own freshly ground coffee every morning with their fresh coffee beans, grinder, and coffee maker. Nice touch. Wifi, TV, air conditioning, a beautiful balcony with a view, all terrific.
I didn't like the scented candles in the entrance. For people with chemical sensitivities, the scent was too strong. The kitchen is outdated and not equipped to cook a real meal. Hardly any silver wear or cooking utensils. No strainer to cook pasta. The refrigerator was extremely loud. We had to disconnect at night.
Hotel was great staff was friendly and informed nice treats and water in late afternoon
The 2nd bed/convertible sofa was not at all comfortable. The staff offered a rollaway, which was appreciated. Unfortunately that was even less comfortable (You try sleeping on one)
Location Having a kitchen The reception area Reception staff Walk-in closet Bistro/bar downstairs
In need of new carpet and a lick of paint Tiny bathroom Tiny pool Poor quality TV
Room was huge! A full apartment with a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, a full living room and a terrace! Staff was great!
Area is loud, decor is kind of aged
Location was ok, in between Georgetown and The Mall
A little worn down. Huge kitchen vs a very small bathroom.
Bathroom very spacious with a very nice kitchen
Had to wait around for the room while checking in but was upgraded to a queen room
Spacious rooms Two Tv Location is near to attractions Staff are nice and polite
The hotel is old and traditional Its near to a hospital so you hear alot of ambulances
Our suite was very spacious for our family of four. The location was excellent - right across from Metro and within walking distance of Georgetown. Staff members were extremely courteous and helpful.
The location was a bit noisy with sirens (hotel located opposite a hospital and a fire station). However, we knew this at time of booking and requested a quieter room overlooking back street. We obtained this and only noticed the sirens in our room our first night.
We, a family of 5, stayed at Obe Washington Circle hotel in July 2014. Location was very good with sights and Georgetown in walking distance. Staff were very helpfull and smiley and the kids loved the pool. The rooms were large and comfortable. We only missed obe thing and that was interconnecting rooms. It is a quiet hotel.
No interconnecting rooms
Near to Georgetown, local bus stop and metro. Walking distance to a lot of sites and monuments. Floor length windows opened to rails outside.
Ambulance sirens from nearby hospital. Advertised as having a balcony but our room only had about 12 inches standing room.,
Extremely spacious, great location
No running water from 10am-2pm! Dirty - dirty floors, dirty drapes/upholstery Loud- constant sirens from nearby hospital Spent over $200 including tax. Worst hotel on 10 day trip!
* Perfect room. * Perfect location, close to the monuments * food-stores near by. * very clean and well maintained. Tip; rent the bikes for 7$ a day.
Close to hospital, causes lots of sirenes during the night
Location, great staff, v. good restaurant Big rooms, wifi
Noisy fire engines as a depot is nearby but otherwise good
The location is great, right across the street from the Foggy Bottom metro stop (blue and orange line) as well as walking distance to Georgetown and the White House.
It's a good place to star Washington visit from central corner. There's an outdoor pool. Our family room was very comfortable, very big and with a kitchen. There's a fantastic burger close to the hotel.
Noisy from the ambulance siren from the hospital nearby.
It was great location used the kitchen whole foods down the road able to eat breakfast and getgrocery metro rreally near to get to downtown. Also the bed was really comfortable
It needs to be updated
Love the location and the room was true to picture. Lobby was pretty, complimentary water and fruit were availbale. Was able to check in early
There wasn't a park and lock for the car. They valet park your car for $40 a day. Would have been nice to have it in a garage.
I was surprised that you actually noted my concerns, during the booking stage. When we arrived we felt as though you already knew us. That is special. We are already looking forward to our trip in 2015. Even my grandson's stuffed toys were cared for. Thanks. EJ
Location was great; loved that the room had a balcony; pool was clean; staff was very helpful and super nice;
Balcony had no furniture so could not sit out there; room needs some updating and better overall maintenance in some spots; saw dogs in the hotel which I don't recall Booking.com mentioning at all that they were dog friendly.
Staff was the best you can get. Friendly and evry helpful. Lauren helped be find the cheapest and fastest way to get to BWI. 5 Stars for them
A bit of a walk to find some good resturants, but the weather was good
