Perfect location to visit the campus, easy walk to the metro stop, the entire campus including the whole foods on campus, and the snitch center. Also convenient to Georgetown shopping and all the attractions of the national mall. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Had room service that came very quickly and was delicious. Very comfortable room.
Although the hotel was quiet and there was no guest noise, there was the occasional ambulance that came by at night.
We have been using this hotel for many years. The staff is very helpful, friendly and efficient. The accommodations are well laid out and comfortable. The hotel is exceptionally well located to reach almost all attractions in Washington, including the monuments and museums, Georgetown, Alexandria, and the nighttime entertainment spots like Dupont Circle. We never fail to enjoy our stay.
Upholstered furniture in the rooms could use an update.
Location & helpfulness of staff at front desk
There should be done interim choice in bedding--thin sheet not enough, thick quilt way too much
The location is great for anything at GW, Georgetown or Dupont Circle, and the Metro Station is only a couple of blocks away. The staff members were quite attentive and friendly. A maintenance call was handled immediately.
The only wish would be for some hooks in the bathroom/dressing area.
The staff was wonderful and always helpful.
High noise level due to a high volume of traffic and George Washington emergency room across the street.
close to metro Nice staff accommodations good, comfortable, inside hotel quiet.
being close the the George Washington ER--ambulances noisy
The bedroom was great. Two doubles beds, kitchenette, balcony, large bathroom, flatscreen and superb wifi! The staff were top notch and the hotel was conveniently located between the White House, Lincoln memorial etc and Georgetown !! The area was very safe too !!
Very helpful and friendly staff. Good location for transport. Excellent super- markets in the neighbourhood viz. Trader´s Joe and Whole Foods.
Leakage from the toilet to the floor, too much water pumping into the tank, in spite of one repair.
Very friendly and obliging staff. Nothing was too much trouble.
Lots of space, comfortable beds.
Cooking facility was limited to a micro wave but sufficient for a short visit of 2 nights.
If street noise could be reduced in some way
very friendly staff. had a pool and a reasonable breakfast menu from the restaurant situated in the hotel. had a kitchen spacious room which would have been perfect for a weekly rate. very nice view and hotel was not super busy.
some of the furniture in our room was in need of a little TLC. rugs in the halls were in need of a good cleaning or change altogether.
Cleanliness, courtesy of staff.
Mattress was a bit soft.
Large room, very good location for excursions to the monuments
Swimming pool too small and with cold water
The location: a 10 minute walk from Georgetown and a 3 minute walk from the metro (which is but a few stops from the mall) The hotel: Big rooms, Helpful staff, Microwave oven and a small but usually empty gym (open till 22:00)
The location: Very close to the George Washington medical center, Ambulances are heard quite often (but are soon ignored and never bother sleep)
Staff were all very helpful. Room was very good.
Would have liked the pool to stay open beyond the 1st of september.
Everything! Even the shampoo and the conditioner were the best I've ever used!
Space - Full size apartment with kitchen - Swimming pool - Restaurant is delicious at low week end prices
Getting a little old
Clean spacious good location.
The room was spacious with a queen-size bed, pull-out couch, comfy chair, coffee table and kitchenette area, and still room to walk around. The location is convenient to Georgetown, Dupont Circle, Adams Morgan and the Mall/Capitol Hill by either Metro (station is just across the circle) or Uber (which is cheaper than the Metro in many cases). The cold strawberry water in the lobby was a nice surprise after a day out seeing the sights. We were also pleasantly surprised to find whole coffee beans and a grinder in the room. Free WiFi worked well. Staff is very friendly and responsive.
The hotel is very close to GWU hospital so the ambulance sirens can become quite loud at times (although they did subside substantially after 10 pm). The lobby has an overly-perfumed scent which makes me wonder if they may be covering up the consequences of their pet-friendliness.
- Kitchen - Free limonade and "champagne" in the lobby - Staff
- lack of owen stuffs in the Kitchen
The room was large and clean.
The car siren outdoor was loud.
The hotel overall is very good. The staff is very kind, always there for answering my doubts about moving around in dc. The room was always clean, the kitchen is more than I expected (they even cleaned some dirty dished we left on a rush). The location could not be better: quiet yet central neighborhood, and just one block to the Metro (Foggy Bottom). I would absolutely recommend this hotel.
I was visiting dc with my mom, and she doesn't speak English. The cable tv had all channels in English, with no sap option. Even though this is not a negative issue, it'd be a huge plus for non-english speakers to find a couple options to see on the tv.
When we arrived the man on reception was fantastic, he gave us a map and showed us key points and tips for DC. Amazing room with great beds and facilities. Good location and great bar and restaurant on site.
The only problem was that it is near a hospital so ambulance sirens are very loud and frequent.
