Free wifi Spacious room Comfy bed Easy walk into Santa barbara Coffee machine
Was on second floor and had to navigate a number of stairs as no lift
Quick check in. Price. Staff was nice.
Broken toilet was supposed to be fixed while we went to dinner and was not touched. Waited 30 more minutes to fix it when we returned. Did not mop up water on the floor. Also a very noisy room with parking right outside the windows.
We arrived via Amtrak. Walked to this hotel. A little walk, but a convenient location. The front desk clerk was very helpful! Our room was located on first floor--very clean, bed was comfortable. Coffee in room. We walked two blocks to Derf's--good food and beer. Also, had breakfast at Garrett's, across street, the next morning. Motel is convenient location to downtown Santa Barbara!
Nothing to mention.
Proximity to downtown Santa Barbara. Staff was polite.
Air conditioning was so noisy, we couldn't sleep. Wifi wasn't working. A column of ants in the bathroom. Hair dryer did not work.
/we were able to get a decent overnight rate in expensive Santa Barbara.
Lack of towel rack in bathroom. Also, no shelf or counter top in bathroom. Dim lighting in bedroom.
staff is friendly
room is small without refrigerator and microwave oven. construction outside. noisy because it is just on the rodeside.
Staff were great, offered good restaurant advise and accommodated a change in our plans graciously. We will be back.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and very quiet. Close to downtown.
Carpet was old and paint was dreary.
Nice renovated rooms. Staff was friendly. Santa Barbara is just such a lovely town!!
Internet broke down and they could not repair it. We got a small discount though on the room price. Motel is a bit far from SB city centre but still doable.
Good sized room, comfortable bed! Wish I,d stayed more than one night as Santa Barbara was beautiful! Great diner for breakfast - just turn right and cross road on opposite side of road! Food great, good value and waitress very friendly!
Close to Santa Barbara Downtown, comfortable, free parking
No working wifi, no microwave machine, no coffee (only early grey & decafeneinato)
Nice back patio with table and chairs. Short walk to bars and restaurants.
Nothing. Everything seemed fine.
Room was stylish and neat.
Internet dis not work
It was the cheapest place in the area. Still walking distance to restaurants. Away from all the homeless.
wifi is broken.
Hotel has had a great makeover since we last stayed there in 2011. The rooms are very nice now. The hotel is in easy reach of the freeway so getting there and getting out to the surrounding area is troublefree. Staff are very welcoming and the maid service is good.
On our second night there seemed to be a party going on in the room above. We didn't get to sleep until about 4am, and when we woke they were still making a lot of noise. I cannot believe that people can be so irresponsible, but I suppose this can happen anywhere. As I said the makeover is very good but the bathrooms remain a bit tired.
Bed was ok. Receptionist and intern were trying to help out.
After we had checked in, the personnel told us there was no wifi! We were on a road trip and therefore really needed wifi to plan the next steps of the trip. Having no wifi was no option and we were really disappointed that they told us after they had swiped our credit card. There was supposed to be a "guest network" temporarily, but it did not work at all. Other guests had the same problems. (The receptionist allowed us finally to use the reception desk computer to book a hotel in our next town, but nothing really worked and we had to rush to not block the computer for too long...printer was not connected etc.) In the room there was lots of hair on the bathroom floor and even on the bed. The bathroom was full of ants.... I would not book this "hotel" again. Behind the building was a construction going on and we woke up early due to the noises.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall the appearance and presentation was very nice. I think we got the best room / in the top corner, very nice patio/balcony and view. The beds were amazingly comfortable ! All in all the comfort and location made the trip...Close to food, shopping and local amenities.
The room we got was excellent in appearance, though the updates were mostly aesthetic- the faucets leaked and the bathroom was very outdated. There wasn't a refrigerator and it had a false fireplace - which looked nice, but I missed the point. The pool was also very poor in reality vs the photo and us only heated at times , so actually if wasn't when we arrived and looked forward to a dip. There were only drinks available at the front desk, and no food available.
The location is ideal, near downtown, local attractions and the touristic area... Bus service to UCSB...The staff is friendly and they make you feel welcome. We all enjoyed our staying and we will visit again.
Ants in bathroom, stained sheets, internet down, water took a long time to heat, and weak shower head.
Clean, tidy and friendly staff. Good location for running around town.
The only outlets that held a plug were in the bathroom and in the table lamp. Had to move the coffee maker into the bathroom to make coffee and had to share the lamp plug with my friend for charging our cell phones. The hair dryer had one setting, barely warm and barely blowing.
Impressed with room, comfortable and good value for money..
Room size, pool, location.
Shower, no place to put a suit case & no central light when entering the room.
the room didn't have a fridge. theres no way to call the maid. i had to go find her. The place in the lobby to get coffee and things was shut down. the wifi wasn't working. i asked for two queen beds and was given one.
Staff was friendly and helpful and the room was pretty and comfortable and spacious enough for us two.
Downsides were quite long walk to downtown restaurants and shops (about 2 km), noisy construction site next to the hotel and the WiFi that was down at the moment.
spacious room. comfortable bed. fireplace. Personnel promptly replaced smoke detector after it fell from ceiling.
had to request additional towels to accommodate number of registered guests. No internet during the two day stay. Desk personnel explained it would be repaired "in a couple of days". Ceiling smoke detector randomly fell off ceiling.
