Score from 30 reviews Wonderful
Its in a wonderful spot. Good for kayaking, natural beauty and wildlife. Yurts are comfy.
The staff, while very nice, don't stay on the island themselves, so you are left to your own devices. There is no cell-phone service out there, nor any other communications in case of emergency. The activities available are extremely limited. Mainly kayaking, with some short hikes. The cost of staying there is equivalent to the very best five-star hotels but the lack of services means that is awful value for money. The yurts have a glass roof that can't be covered, and so remain light all night.
The location is beautiful, the yurts have all the amenities, even solar electricity. I loved that there was no tv our daughter could turn on. The remoteness forces you to RELAX and slow down. We kayaked, paddle boarded, fished off the dock, sat and talked, read books and took naps. It was awesome. And there are a ton of beautiful creatures in the water, a seal lives in the bay, we saw many porpoises, I saw a river otter, a ton of jelly fish and starfish. The owners are very kind and helpful.
It is on the expensive side but worth it.
