Beautiful remote location, we could hear the humpback whales from our yurt! Kayaking around the bay was amazing. We saw bald eagles, otters, seals, whales, dolphins, every day. Accommodation was very comfortable. We had a very relaxing stay and of course the hosts, Susan & Dennis were terrific. You are limited to the island as it's a good 10 miles from Seward, so plan on exploring the bay via kayak.

Orca Island Cabins was an amazing experience! We sea kayaked with porpoises, kayaked to a beautiful waterfall, and stayed in an yurt on an island surrounded by absolute beauty. We saw sea otters, seals, porpoises and tide pools. This is the way to go if you want to really experience Alaska and nature.

Every yurt had a fantastic view. The deck with the barbeque was a nice touch. We had everything we needed to cook and the kitchen was set up very nice with everything organized and clean. We enjoyed the convienece of the compost toilet and hot shower. The owners Dennis and Susan could not have been nicer. They really care about thier guests and are so proud of their little paradise they have created. I just wanted to comment that if you have a fear of hieghts you will want to stay on the island as walking over the suspension bridge to the yurts on the mainland is a challange for people who do not like being up high.
