Orchard Garden Hotel

Great location, can walk to all tourist sites in SF, including Chinatown next door and Union Square 2 blocks away. Very comfortable and clean room, nice amenities, good service by all staff. Great beds! Expensive parking, like all hotels in SF, but public lot across the street for under $15 per night.

The staf was very pleasant and eager. The location was good and the room very comfortable. It was nice to be in a green hotel. I will return there to stay.

The central location, the interior design, the nice organic products in the bathroom and the attempts to be green.

Everyone was friendly - the hotel is new and modern.

The decor was pleasant. The beds were comfortable. The rooms had a new and fresh feel to them. Small rooms, but more than enough space for a few days.

Wifi was very weak, almost useless, but free connected internet facilities ( in a small, hot room ) were welcome . Staff were not very courteous, and to be very honest - probably because I was a sole woman traveler , I noticed they were more courteous and more helpful to single male travelers ! Very disappointing sexism . Free tea and coffee maker in room did not provide milk for hot drinks . Also , use of gym facilities for a stated " nominal" fee - was $15 per visit , certainly not " nominal" !

Overall it was well-situated, the staff were helpful and everything worked well. Liked that it was Green + free wi-fi a bonus.

we both thought the bed was very comfortable. in fact, we would like to know the brand of the mattress. always enjoy down comforters rather than ugly blankets

An Eco-hotel, with a great location! Right near the entrance to Chinatown, a close walk to Union Square - we are locals and we took the BART in from South San Fran - it took ~ 20 minutes to get to Powell Street Station - walked up the hill- and there was our hotel! Great! The Roots restaurant on site is terrific serving organic local fare (try the truffle fries)! and the rooftop seating area is lovely - (windy, but lovely)! with great views of the city. The bath products are EO - which are great, natural, and go with the eco-theme. We would definitely stay at this hotel again!

Location was good. Staff were helpful. Rooms were generally quiet. I liked the green aspects of the hotel and the decor was very simple but peaceful.

In morning the water in nearby rooms was a bit noisy.

The staff were helpful and friendly. The most comfortable beds I've ever slept on in a hotel. An excellent location.

Basic king-sized room is narrow.

The cleaniness, the rooms were comfortable, not large. The staff were good to work with.

Billing practices, but I think that is more with booking on line. Although I think it should be disclosed more fully.
