Score from 1405 reviews Very good
The staffs and the location. The room is a good size and very clean. The breakfast at the hotel is very good.
The cable cars running on the Powell Street make noise from early morning to midnight. It affected our sleep quite a bit.
Staff went out of their way to assist and be friendly, and the location was absolutely perfect for walking anywhere
Top notch. Excellent in every aspect of my stay. Room immaculate, staff friendly and efficient. Quiet, comfortable and relaxing in a noisy city.
Expensive but typical of a high quality downtown hotel.
I liked all of my previous visits but won't book here again. I understand that overbooking can occur, but staff seemed to think they were doing me a huge favor by finding me another room at all. Burned 2 hours trying to resolve matter.
Hotel finally sent me uphill (no offer of cab) to larger, more anonymous and remote "sister hotel" (I arrived before 5 pm - not like I tried to check in at midnight). No break in room charge. Says coffee facilities in room, but instead they offer to send you some up - $19.58 charge. and the wifi was useless except at 5 a.m.
clean comfy rooms. friendly and helpful staff ideal location in downtown
The hotel, while nice, is no better than the $150 a night hotels we stayed in in other cities during our trip. Vastly over priced simply because you are in San Francisco - including taxes we paid over $1000 for 3 nights which is not worth it.
Proximity to Chinatown and financial district.
Old, slow computers in business centre.
The hotel location is perfect near restaurants and shops. Safety place .
The price is little high.
The price per night is high and no breakfast included.
Beds were oh so comfortable. Room was quiet. The LEED rating was the reason we chose the hotel and we were not disappointed.
Parking was expensive but in a city such as SF it is to be expected given that spots are at a premium.
Clean, very comfortable room. Quite for sleeping and good location for walking to shopping and dinning. Staff very friendly and very helpful. All around great service and great experience.
Not a thing
Very comfortable beds
Not much going on in the hotel. No room service. But maybe all that is a plus as it was so quiet.
Room was a reasonable size. Hotel right next to entrance to Chinatown and near cable car and bus routes.
Clean tastefully decorated Good location near Union Square and Cable Lines. Helpful friendly attentive staff Quiet comfortable Large well appointed bathroom
Nothing to dislike
The disposability and the good advices provided by staff.
Staff made excellent local restaurant recommendations. Location was perfect, easily get to train and streetcar. Staff offered to make arrangements for airport transportation without me asking. The beds were the most comfortable.
The bathroom is not a sealed off room so you can hear everything. The view from our room was a white brick wall of the building next to us.
Great hotel in a great location for visiting San Francisco. Very helpful staff and the hotel has everything you need. We made good use fo the rooftop terrasse and we will definitely come back to this hotel another time.
Great staff. Helpful in every way.
A bit pricey - though all of San Francisco is very expensive
The fantastic service provided by a very helpful staff . Managed to get Alcatraz tickets for me , when they could not be got elsewhere .
location perfect, around the corner there is chinatown, lots of restaurants within walking distancr
We enjoyed a room with roof terrace. The view was excellent and we were not bothered by traffic noise. The setting was extraordinarily relaxing with sunshine and enjoying a glass of wine while overlooking San Francisco.
Fog in the late afternoon ;-)
Great little hotel, the decor is simple and somewhat dated but clean and comfortable. Great location on the cusp of Chinatown within walking distance to major attractions. Large bathroom and comfortable bed. Would return!
TV was a little bit poor quality, when switching on I had to manually select the tuner input each time, the picture quality / reception was a little fuzzy, but otherwise functional.
Location Super comfy beds Staff very friendly Bed turn down service Noon check out
Shower pressure a bit weak Restaurant quite expensive
Fantastic location. Spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed. Good size room and spacious bathroom. Staff were very helpful and managed to find us tea drinkers a kettle instead of the supplied coffee maker.
Maybe a reception area with comfy chairs would be nice. The restaurant seemed underused so part of this could possibly become a lounge area.
Location, fast internet and free, good standard rooms
Price too high for a standard room without any special facilities in the hotel, expensive breakfast
