Location is perfect: next to the entrance of Chinatown, 2 mts walk to Union Square along high quality shops; Little Italy, Nob Hill and Financial District also close by (walking distance). Easy to commute to Fishermans Warf and Ferry Building by historic tram. Personnell is very friendly and service minded. Small scale and eco-friendliness create very good atmosphere. Cafe de la Presse as well as Starbucks across the street. Roof top 'garden' is available (you can use it at your own discretion, ie take your own food/drinks there - as there is no service)

My room was small and without any view (most rooms are), but for a modest fee, I could upgrade.

Close to everything! This is our third stay at the Orchard Hotel and we had loved it each time.

There was a misrepresentation on your website regarding our room. We booked a Junior Suite which was advertised to have a parlor and a sofa. The room we were given had neither, there wasn't even room for a reading chair. The manager insisted that it was indeed a suite, just one without a parlor or a sofa. A subsequent manager admitted the misrepresentation, contacted you, and the price was lowered. Thankyou. Never the less, it was distasteful and we will not stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay here. Comfortable room, very clean. Nicely decorated with a contemporary style. Very friendly staff. Excellent location. Our room was very quiet, no noise.

The air conditioner needs a baffle to direct the air flow away from the bed, Other than that the room was comfortable.

The "green" aspect. Beautiful, light colour decor,very comfortable beds, spacious bathroom with nice toiletries. Very quiet. Excellent location.

The windows did not open. The breakfast buffet could have offered more choices instead of some items only available from a separate menu.

The harmonious nature and quality of the decor from the sheets to the mattress to the wallpaper, to the lobby. The bathroom was excellent, the air conditioner worked beautifully. The personnel were all very accommodating and professional. Since we concentrated a 3-day visit on exploring Chinatown and made visits to stores near Union Square, the location couldn't have been better.

The coffee maker was primitive and virtually useless.
