Great location, clean rooms and nice staff. Parking at hotel is too expensive. Garage next door charges way less - park there! |

The hotel was in a great location. I was a little worried because I knew it was close to downtown but it was within walking distance of Chinatown, North Beach, Fisherman's Wharf, and lots of shopping (if that's what you're into). And, like others have said, the cable cars stop practically right in front of the hotel. We think we got a free upgrade because we asked for a king size bed and ended up with a suite on the top floor. I wasn't a fan of the decorating style (oriental) but the suite was very, very nice. The concierge was great, too. We didn't even have to ask for help and they were right there anticipating our needs. The parking fee is pretty steep - $40 + tax for 24 hours. I wished I had researched other options but I didn't even think about parking until I was checking in so I went with the easiest option. |

Entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Location was excellent. |

Large comfortable room. Some porblem with the free internet service it is not really high-speed and they will bump you off if you transfer largem files or watch sites involving streaming, etc. |

Everything was great. Location was excellent, so close to the Powell St Trolley. We were on the 10th floor and it was very quiet. Staff are very accomodating. Expecially nice, large bathroom. The rooms are large. The bedding was superb quality and the mattress very comfortable. A very high 3 star. |

The Orchard Hotel was conveniently located in central San Francisco. My room was quiet and tastefully decorated. |

I stayed for 2 weeks. The hotel was nice, bed soft & bathroom clean, location was great & public transportation nearby. A last minute requested extra bed was brought immediately. The little soaps were delish. Free DVD lend out & wifi. There were some troubles with my reservation because of internal miscommunication twice, which was annoying, but eventually solved. Keycards sometimes didn't work. Housekeeping called up a lot asking when they could make the room if we didn't leave 'in time'. The staff was always helpfull, but not always smiley friendly. |

The property is very nice and the rooms are great. Very good location! The staff needs refining and brought to another level of professionalism. The restaurant is very nice but the food and service is just average. The business center is the front desk, not confortable for processing confidential information. And, the work out room is too limited. Needs more equipment. |

The hotel is near Union Square, the cable car and much more. Also the concierge was a really nice guy and very helpfull. |

Proximity to attractions and shopping. The room was quiet and comfortable. Appreciated the DVD movie rental (free), especially since it rained alot. Coffee machine was only a single-serve, it leaked and produced only ultra-thin coffee. Housekeeping only replaced one single-serve portion daily. If you share a room, your partner has to do without or you have to share. |

The location was great. on the tram lines so didn,t have to traverse the hills...most of the time. Just a couple of blocks from Union square. The hotel room was very nice, bed cofortable, and shower hot- and great that it had good wi-fi. |

We were upgraded because the hotel was not 100% full, a nice gesture and made our stay even more enjoyable. The view from our room was spectacular looking over the Cambridge Common covered in snow, the vista of steeples and winter trees was beautiful. Very clean and well appointed rooms, decor and bedding was all very nice. Very spacious room & bathroom too. |
