The room was very nice and the location at Powell and Bush made it easy to hop on the Powell cable car or a short walk to bart. The fitness room was three old pieces of equipment in an unused hotel room. For as nice as the rest of the hotel is, they really could stand to improve on that one amenity. |

Location was excellent and close to all amenities, great shopping, tourist attractions, transport and good food. The room was big, comfortable, very reasonable and we would definitely stay there again. |

The room was very comfortable, good bed, good linens. Also appreciated all of the San Francisco information and literature in the room... Better quality coffee in the room with real creamers in the mini-bar rather than powdered edible oil product. We like to have coffee in our room in the morning while getting ready and found the coffee weak and tasteless and would have preferred something of higher quality. |

excellent comfort, good bed, quiet in a quite busy area not design at all, very international standard type of look ------ be careful, this hotel is not the Orchard Garden (same owner, same street, but not the same place) |

Rooms were large, clean and tastefully decorated, but what really sets this place apart is the staff. I have stayed at allot of hotels in the city and for the price this place is a no brainer. Actually much better than any of the higher priced places I have stayed at in San Francisco. Didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant, but the appetizer and drinks we had at the bar were great and were half off because it was happy hour. I can't remember the last time that happened at a hotel in SF. |

The room was sapcious with all facilities excellent value for money, centrally located, breakfast available. The staff were so good they even took care of my son we were busy with our sigth seeing trips. There were DVD's available at the Front Desk to watch free, coffer maker etc.. |

The location is great, the decor very attractive, the staff friendly, and the rooms spacious for a big city. This was my second stay here and I liked it as much as the first time. Two improvements would make this near perfect for the money. Most important, hooks are needed in the bathroom for clothes or robes. Second, a different coffee maker: the one cup at a time is laborious and makes it difficult to have coffee with your partner. |

Very convenient located, excellent beds, communicating door between parents and kids room was very practical, good price/quality, Roxanne's (next door) and Lori's diner (near Union Square) recommended for breakfast, TV and DVD service Laptop in lobby (with free access to internet) could be faster. |

The staff was very friendly, always greeting us as we came and went. The room was very comfortable, both in amenities and temperature control. It's location was excellent, close to area attractions and just steps from public transportation. A table for two in the room would have been nice. |

Great location, clean rooms and nice staff. Parking at hotel is too expensive. Garage next door charges way less - park there! |

The hotel was in a great location. I was a little worried because I knew it was close to downtown but it was within walking distance of Chinatown, North Beach, Fisherman's Wharf, and lots of shopping (if that's what you're into). And, like others have said, the cable cars stop practically right in front of the hotel. We think we got a free upgrade because we asked for a king size bed and ended up with a suite on the top floor. I wasn't a fan of the decorating style (oriental) but the suite was very, very nice. The concierge was great, too. We didn't even have to ask for help and they were right there anticipating our needs. The parking fee is pretty steep - $40 + tax for 24 hours. I wished I had researched other options but I didn't even think about parking until I was checking in so I went with the easiest option. |

Large comfortable room. Some porblem with the free internet service it is not really high-speed and they will bump you off if you transfer largem files or watch sites involving streaming, etc. |

Everything was great. Location was excellent, so close to the Powell St Trolley. We were on the 10th floor and it was very quiet. Staff are very accomodating. Expecially nice, large bathroom. The rooms are large. The bedding was superb quality and the mattress very comfortable. A very high 3 star. |
