We liked everything. Location was very good and convenient to almost everything. It is a comfortable hotel Would stay there again

Valet parking was inconvenient and very expensive. One staff member at reception had an attitude problem all the others were excellent

The air-conditioning was not working. We set it to 65 and I woke up sweating every day!!! (Not kidding). The kicker was the cleaning lady kept turning it off so every time we'd come back in the room would be warm. If I'm paying $2000+ to stay somewhere I'd like to keep the room at a temperature that I set it to. That in and of itself made me want a full refund. I honestly will likely stay somewhere else. With the air set to 65 and High it still never got to that temperature. I told the staff this and they took a note to fix it, but we never got confirmation that they ever came or what the resolution was. Other than this they were an amazing staff.

The Orchard was comfortable, located conveniently, fairly priced, had a friendly and helpful staff.

The bar/restaurant could have had more atmosphere but it's easy to walk to other places in the area.

The staff was first class. Extremely helpful and friendly. They went above an above to accomodate my questions and needs. I liked that the Trolley/Cable Car was available to pick up and drop off right by the location. I liked that they turned down the covers and left chocolates each night as well.

A microwave in the room would've been nice, but I worked around it. The menu options at the restaurant could been more broad, but there were many other eating options close to the location.

Lovely hotel in a superb location in San Francisco. Staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. Will certainly be back!

Breakfast menue need more options

We loved the location, nice bed, good shower, lifts were quick to arrive.

The parking was really expensive, we only realised that it wasn't included in the cost after booking. We later found a good value car-park very nearby at Stockton.

The doorman David was extremely helpful and gave us many good suggestions. The hotel is near the main shopping district in San Francisco as well as quite a few good, but inexpensive restaurants.

- fitness center is basic, but could have a couple of weight lifting machines

The Orchard Hotel is an excellent value: centrally located, clean, helpful staff, and our room was quiet. I will definitely stay here again.

My only complaint is that when we returned to our room around 3:30 P.M.one day to relax, the room hadn't been cleaned. Other than that, we were very satisfied.

Great hotel - the location is very good - Bush street & Powell, close to chinatown and union square. The staff is very kind and the rooms are clean and well. The bed is so comfcomfortable we almost couldn't wake up in the morning. The breakfast is quite expensive but it's very good.

Location was perfect, room was comfortable, staff friendly and helpful, particularly the doormen who provided info on getting around and not to miss seeing the Golden Gate from Lands End on Sunday and where to get a quick Pizza near by.

Very quiet, clean, and spacious (for sf Union Square) room, that was close enough to union to square to make access to my meetings easy, but just far enough off the square to feel quiet, less rushed and less touristy. (Its really only a block off the square, very short and easy walk). The service was excellent, and the hotel very clean. Wifi was free and worked well. Next time I am in sf on business I will stay here. I have stayed at many other hotels in the Union Square area, but this has topped them all. I also thought the doorman was so kind and we talked about running every day :).

Lovely, intimate small hotel near Union Sq. very comfortable room, very quiet, excellent restaurant for breakfast. reasonably priced considering the options in downtown SF. terrific!

The hotel staff was very nice and were helpful with dinner ideas, transportation and whatever you needed. I have been to San Francisco many times, and this location was perfect. Right between Nob Hill and Union Square, a few blocks from China Town and Market Street. I will stay here again.
