Great location, breathtaking view and very helpful staf
The innkeeper was awesome! Very welcoming and comfortable place to stay! Will definitely stay here as in if the opportunity arises!
The innkeeper was helpful and very friendly
Lighting was poor in the bathroom
This house is incredible, one of the best stops on our three week tour of America. The atmosphere is homely but the building is large and fascinating. Don't hesitate- just book it!!
Regulating shower water temperature ...
It is a wonderful place to imagine what life was like living in a grand and magnificent home. The atmosphere and staff are welcoming and generous.
Iike the peaceful surrounding
The hands on treatment from Jim the innkeeper was like staying in 5 star hotel. The room was beautiful with old world wood trim and floors with a great view. The made to order breakfast was a real treat.
I liked the history, the grounds, the area , the caretaker (great guy).
Fabulous experience at this old mansion! Hospitality couldn't have been better. Innkeeper was gracious and an excellent cook!
Great hospitality with jim, thanks for taking the time to socialise with us. Much appreciated advice on the area. Only a short stay but would definitely return if in the area.
Loved the fact that we were staying in a home. I spent time thinking about how others occupied the house. Everything worked.
The host Jim did an excellent job of providing local information and anticipating and taking care of any and all needs. A real gem that made our stay memorable.
Lots of steep steps and climbing.
Love the property and Jim the Manager.
Didn't realize it was an HOUR away from my "searched" destination.
Jim's wonderful breakfast..
short shower,water temp.
The Overlook Mansion is a gorgeous architectural treasure. The rooms are lovely, the hospitality completely wonderful, the views were spectacular and breakfast was a treat. Thanks Jim (and Jon) for making our stay an excellent experience!
The mansion is beautiful, and had a wonderful view of the town below. The staff was great and the rooms were fun and historical.
My husband and myself stayed at the Overlook Mansion as part of our Honeymoon getaway. The mansion is absolutely gorgeous and the staff absolutely amazing. The Inn Keeper, Jim, is very friendly, always greets you with a warm smile and has some great stories. Also, his cooking is EPIC! I highly recommend the veggie omelet, so yummy! The mansion is very inviting and the rooms so cozy. It truly felt like we were in fairytale adventure (as my husband and myself went mining at the Herkimer Diamond Mines while there) but the overall experience felt like a home away from home. I highly recommend this place to any and everyone. It truly is an experience that we will never forget. We loved it so much, we are definitely planning on staying again.
Jim was great!! It was my first B&B experience. We were visiting family in the area, so didn't get to enjoy the place as much as we would've liked. Breakfast was delicious!
That there was more time to enjoy it.
Great hospitality. Very impressed with renovation work done to Mansion. If we pass through the area in the future, it will be on our list of places to stay!
The beautiful historic house and the wonderful staff
The lack of restaurants in the town
The Inn keeper named Jim was a excellent host and the mansion was fantastically different. My wife and I were blown away.
The town Little falls is not much for sight-seeing and eating-out. The host recommended a good place for dinner. We got kind of lost and it was not in Google.
It was all good.
Everything and everyone went above & beyond. We felt like one of the family.
Everything! We stayed one night here in Nov 2013 and although it was just a stopover between Boston and Niagara, both the town of Little Falls NY and the Overlook Mansion exceeded our expectations. Very charming and lots of character in this late 19th century house. Room was very spacious, comfortably warm and attention to detail. We were concerned before arriving that the bathroom was not an en-suite in our room, but there was no problem with access and it had modern amenities with an old fashioned interior design - which we loved. Jim the host was more than helpful with our queries and cooked up a fine hot breakfast. We have already recommended this place to family and friends and it is an ideal weekender from Boston / NYC.
One night was way too short!
