Staff, loud street front, small parking possibility, lack of breakfast.
No air conditioning
the price is good the room was big the location was great I didn't mind it it was okay by me I'm a guy
girlfriend on the other hand she hated it because it wasn't classy clean time you know like a brand new hotel it was old and the time it was clean it was clean
The private parking. Thr view. The bed and bathroom was clean. The location around San Pedro is realy excelent.
It is a good stay if you dont want to use the kitchen. Because the kitchen is a bit old and not AS clean as it could be.
Location was nice and quiet with nearby diners and cafés with a local market. An old looking inn but had some nice charm. Room was nice and large. It looks like it had been updated recently. The maid service could've been better but it was decent. All in all our stay was very good went to stay there again.
Not too many things to dislike but one thing why is the parking situation. Not enough parking spots for people staying at the hotel. The absence of air conditioning in the room was an item that was a "wish we had".
I love the fact my view from the room was out to the beach. The beach wasn't far from our stay. Big bed and nice cool breeze from the ocean into our room. & the workers were wonderful. Happy and helpful.
The cleaning of the room was a little dusty and the blankets had holes. The odor from the refrigerator was a little bad where I didn't want to place my items. Parking was a tight squeeze but reasonable.
Location and room size
All was good!
Very friendly staff Nice appartment Everthing was there, what you need Close to the beach Quite area
If it's hot inland prepare for cool coastal breezes
The location was nice. The staff was nice.
The room was filthy. The refrigerator had old food and the freezer was unusable because of ice that covered the entire inside of freezer. The refrigerator was lined with dirty torn aluminum foil. The carpet had dirt and paper all over it. The bathroom had dirt in the corners. Unsanitary.
Management was helpful and not argumentative.
Fleas. Fleas on the couch, the carpet, the beds. We switched hotels at midnight to the Vagabond and had a nicer room for less money.
How dirty it was
very nice owner, helpful.
no a/c; lots of noise, fireworks
Location and staff are awesome
No air condition
This inn is near the end of the peninsula-- a lovely area-- and two blocks from clean beaches. The rooms were quiet and comfortable and, though the property is older, had modern amenities.
The rooms aren't exactly spacious, and a few more lamps would have been nice. Also, our rooms didn't have A/C, but the ceiling fans and ocean breezes were enough for early June.
I love the location; easy walk to Cabrillo Beach & close to Pacific Cafe for breakfast.
Housekeeping does a very poor job , especially in the kitchen area. The sink, stove, refrigerator & microwave were dirty. The floor hadn't been scrubbed & the freezer hadn't been defrosted in months. This COULD be a very nice place but obviously owner/manager has no desire to provide the basic cleanliness that guests deserve. I gave them 2 chances but won't be back again.
It was a one person staff, but he was nice. He did seem like he cared about the customers and was there to help you if you needed it. The room was clean. Good solid neighborhood with the beach a few blocks away. I totally recommend it! And most of all, We felt comfortable. You won't be disappointed.
The only cons was that the shower head lacked water pressure but other than that, everything else was just on point.
Quietness and friendliness of the staff.
Need paint refurbishing, oven doesn't work nor does the exhaust fan.
Location was in a residential area surrounded by small homes and apartment complexes. To far from from restaurants, stores and businesses. Management stated the facility was recently upgraded. While it was a nice attempt, it still felt like a renovated apartment complex, posing as a motel. The small kitchenette had nice new counter tops, but the sink, fixtures and appliances were all old and in need of repair. The small undercounter refrigerator had an open freezer box compartment inside the refrigerator that was so frozen over with ice it couldn't be used. Needless to say we didn't use the kitchen at all. The furniture was old, mismatched and broken. There were spiders and spider egg sacks all over the fence wall in front of our rooms. We would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone else. Unfortunately we were trying to book rooms late and let cost weigh in on our decision without reading previous reviews. Will never do that again.
Beware!!!!! Don't stay here. They are scammers. They charged us for an extra night on my credit card and won't refund or answer any emails to rectify.
The staff was very friendly. The room was quiet. The location was very near the ocean and close to our family.
We only stayed 2 nights, but had to move rooms the second night because we had the only handicapped accessible room and someone needed it. They should have planned ahead, as this was inconvenient for us.
no cable tv/ no air conditioner
The staff was AWESOME! Very friendly. Genuinely cared, not just there for a job. Quiet and very close to the amazing Pacific Diner.
Property still undergoing upgrades so a few minor appearance issues. Only real negative note was the caulking around the bathtub.
The price and the proximity to the beach
The staff there does not run the place well. The hotel is fine and the rooms are decently sized.
The staff was really nice and accommodating
