Proximity to the ocean And surrounding community
Where do you start? The room had no air conditioning or proper ventilation . It was to small, no chairs in the room. Could not fit in the shower nosiey and the price compared to what you got for the money
No AC, room got very warm.
location was great
Very old and run down.
The location was perfect.
No air conditioning, so we had to leave the one little window open at night. At night the neighbors were extremely noisy. We got very little rest/sleep. We were told it was not safe to leave the window open while we were gone. So every time we came back to the room it was like a oven in there. Only one floor fan, so it was very uncomfortable and hot. The room and bathroom was extremely small.
The staff was great, the breakfast was great, the view was great. Everything was great and we r going back for New Year's Eve.
If there is anything I wld complain about was the bed had a sag in middle of it. A/C wld b cool too.
Great Location Decent price for the location
The room was closed up and hot, it took a long time to cool down with only one small window. Loud Neighbors
Great location Good enough room
The only good thing about this place is the location.
This place was horrible for the price. $300 a night and it had no A/C and it was 98 degrees in the room. I would have to get up early just to not sweat while I got ready. The bathrooms have no outlets so don't expect to blow dry your hair in there I had to sit on our bed. The maids didn't even make our bed they would only change out the towels. The parking situation is awful as well make sure you pay extra or you will be stuck constantly moving your car. I will stay at a motel 6 next time before this lesson learned! $300 a night for a sauna room and bad service. I should have paid extra to stay next to it that hotel looked much nicer and had A/C. I don't recommend staying here unless you don't mind sweating all night. Even with the window wide open and door wide open right next to the beach it was miserable. Ruined my vacation we tried to never be in our room sucked we had to sleep there! And pay for it!
Good staff and location.
Very nice view.... only few steps to get to the ocean. Wonderful sunset and close to restaurants, bars, and other facilities.
Really, it is WAY too expensive for what it is.... Not quiet. Big spot light next to the window (hard to sleep with that), no AC, internet sucks, no phone in the room. I believe that 75% of the price paid was for the location!
Location location location
Never could get the room (4) cool. Exterior carpets were filthy. Rooms need updating.
Perfect location. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants and shops and steps away from beach.
Parking was a bit of a nuisance so pay for the parking if available.
Location is excellent! For the price you can't beat it! Next time I would get a bigger room because the economy was just too small. Doesn't have any air conditioner and our room got pretty hot and was hard to fall asleep.
Parking was easy. You can rent bikes from there at a good price. If you need a cute, clean room in front of the beach this is your place. Especially if you don't spend a lot of time in it.
I was surprised that it didn't have an a.c. unit. But it did have a portable fan!
The room was yards from the beach. It was clean and tidy. The locarion was perfect. Sooo many great restaurants, CVS, Starbucks, all within walking distance. The view, the ocean, just a great location....
the wifi was hit or miss throughout my stay. The parking was miserable. They only have 8 spots, so make sure you reserve one before your stay, its worth the $20. Otherwise you have to try to find street parking.
Both of the people that worked there were super nice and helpful! Love the view!
The door in rm 14 was so swollen and out of alignment that we had a difficult time opening and closing the door.
The location of the Pacific View Inn is excellent. It's right on the beach near lots of good bars and restaurants.
Firstly, parking is $20 a night which is a complete rip off considering there is free parking right outside the hotel. You just need to bide your time to get a space. The room leaves a lot to be desired for the price. We stayed for 4 nights and the room wasn't cleaned in that entire time. We were also only given clean towels once. There is also a kitchen in the room with a sink, fridge, coffee maker and microwave. However there are no cups, glasses, cutlery or plates. So the kitchen area is entirely useless unless you want to drive to a supermarket and buy all of the above. We were given two coffee filters and two polystyrene cups on our first day. We didn't realise we needed to make them last for the four nights!! And last but by no means least, there is no air conditioning in the rooms. You are however provided with a fan. If it weren't for the location of the property and the fact they would have charged me for another nights stay, I would have left the Pacific View Inn after the second night. In conclusion, there is no value for money here. During our trip we stayed in 5* hotels in Vegas and Newport Beach for considerably less than we were charged here. It seems the management are taking advantage of the location and not putting in any effort to make their customers comfortable.
The location for the price was great!!! It's right on the the boardwalk, easy beach access, and many wonderful places to eat and drink with in walking distance. The rooms are nice and clean, and the only noise you here at night is the ocean. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The location was excellent and the stuff was super friendly. Definitively a place to check out in San Diego
We liked the place. The rooms were clean and nice, with simple and new Ikea furniture. The building is just steps away from the beach and close to many places to eat.
The room was a bit overpriced for what you get. Walls were very thin. We could hear everything (yes, everything) from the other room. One of the mattresses had a whole in the middle making sleeping really uncomfortable. We had to pay $20 to park just outside the building. We were told that parking on the street would be difficult.
The location and the fact it was easy to get to by car.
Our new favorite vacation spot. Great location!!!
We had a downstairs room with heavy footed people upstairs.
Liked being so close to the pacific ocean.
Front door was diffiult to open and close. No room phone, clock radio or even kleenex. Office had limited hours. Had very noisy neighbours after midnite. The continental breakfast was uneventful. Will not stay there on our next visit.
Steps from the beach Staff was very friendly and helpful
Tendency to be noisy - thin walls and attracts a younger crowd that parties late (even though they say quiet hours after 10pm). Rooms are very small and well used. Blinds to the windows aren't very tight and doesn't seem private to the outside.
