Our room was beautiful, spacious and comfortable. We loved the pretty courtyards and flowers at the entrance. The room was a great value also.

Great large rooms, great shower. Getting to the front desk from parking is confusing, went up, around, down and across. Could have used better signs.

I thought that the staff was very nice. I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past and always loved the ambiance of the rooms. This stay was not good. The room was apparently recently renovated. It was a big corner room, facing the street which was very noisy in the morning. The furniture was old and too small to fit the room. There was a wall that had water damage at one time and instead of scraping the bubbled paint, they painted over it in a darker color. I was very disappointed and I did talk to their managment. What use to be a wonderful place to stay is more like a Hotel 2 1/2!

Nice hotel, good continental breakfast. It was very noisy! The people above us were moving things & running on the floor from 3:00am until 5:30. Then doors slamming. I think they were warming up for their race, but it was extremely rude, & we couldn't sleep.

The location was great. The size of the room with the fridge and sink area was very comfortable. The included breakfast and breakfast area were healthy, clean , and friendly. The seagull alarm clock. :)

The bathrooms were great it is nice to have a nice big bathroom in a hotel. The fireplace is a really added value. Additionally the location is great next to the convention center and the fisherman warth. Some things in the room seem a little too old line the carpet and the sofa. The pillows were very uncomfortable.

The room was quiet and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bath modern and beautiful. The room was spacious and had everything one could possibly need. Breakfast was good and the staff very kind. The hotel is very well located, near the sights, but not too near the tourist crush. Our view was a brick wall, which made the room dark.

Nice accommodation for the family. The fireplace and sitting area was a nice touch. The staff was nice enough to allow a early check in. Towels were plenty and it he room was clean. Location was good. Walking distance to most things. Having to pay for self parking. The breakfast provided was so so. The boiled eggs was gross and the selection was scant. It wokld of been nice to have some fresh seasonal fruit instead of just apples. Also, when asking for hot water for hot tea the staff seemed annoyed.

Character hotel, fire place fire in room, nice room, bed comfortable, free internet, and good american style continental breakfast. Short walk to pier. Decor was a bit grubby. Parking expensive, it turns out we could have parked for free on the street between 6pm and 9am.

Clean, well appointed, spacious, up scale, unusual. Two hot tubs. Well maintained grounds. Excellent breakfast included. A happy place. It is so big and unusual, it would be nice to have an easy to understand and big map of the place. Especially to find the hot tubs.

The size of the room was wonderful, we loved all the extra space for a little dining area plus a living-room area, and the fireplace, not to mention that there was also a separate shower from the bathtub. The comfort of the room was also great! The location was excellent, within walking distance to most everything in Monterey, or easily reachable by bikes. Nothing!

Once we parked, it was great. We walked everywhere. Close to the places we wanted to go. It was worth the $19.00 to park. And I was able to leave my car even after we checked out, Very reasonable about the parking. I found the room cheaper then the original quote. Once the post said one room left, I felt I better get it while I can. Then I found it again cheaper with a comment of two rooms left. I kind of complained but found there was nothing I could do. I guess I could have cancelled and re-booked.

Room was nice with separate living room area with fire place and balcony. Also had a nice kitchenette area with table and 4 piece bathroom This room had 2 2-star double beds with cheap linen that was impossible to sleep in. We stayed 3 nights and hardly slept. The lack of sleep made the rest of the good amenities of the room become unimportant.

I love the patio and the lay out of the rooms. I like the fact that there is a sitting area and that the tv could be swing in different directions so you could watch in sitting area or bed. Had a great stay, this is now where we will stay from now on.

My request for a quiet room at the back was complied with and an excellent room was provided. Breakfast was simple but effective and nicely presented. Location was perfect for a 5 minute walk to Fisherman's wharf.

Rooms are a good size. Very comfortable bed. Always clean (we have stayed there before). Like the fireplace. Good location to beach/wharf/Cannery Row. Robes are very nice . I will buy one next time. Always lots of towels, which many hotels don't provide. No HBO/ premium channels on TV

We were exhausted, and so happy that the room was so nice. We were happy to shop for dinner at the nearby convenience store and eat in! It was like our own apartment, beautifully designed. I was hoping for it to be more near the water.

I had stayed at this hotel over 10 times in the last 20 years, but hadn't stayed there is the last 3 years and I was surprised by the change, not for the better. It seemed not as up to par as I remember and in the past I would of given them all excellents remarks.

The rooms were nice. beds were big and soft. When the room was cleaned, The used dishes were not replaced, left on the table dirty , In the breakfast room. the fruit basket had an rotten apple. One rotten In precision spoils the opinion. Not worthy of my money spent.

The room is very large, but well heated in winter. Both hair dryer and iron are provided in the room, and a broad range of of TV programs. WiFi access is stable though a bit expensive. The room next to street is a bit noisy in the morning, due to loosely sealed windows.
