The front desk employees were great. However they did not tell us the locations of the pool and what other amentaties were located or offered.

What it looks like on the Internet and what it is are two different things. Uncomfortable Room was dirty I would not stay there again. Not on the beach No view.

This was my husband and I second visit to San Francisco. The last time we stayed in Union Square, but wanted to stay close to beach this time so we rented a car and drove into the city. This was a very good decision. The walks on the beach was so nice, very scenic and the food at the Pacifica restaurants was less expensive than downtown sf and just as delicious.

This hotel is very out-dated. Although, I do admit housekeeping did an excellent job of keeping the room clean. This hotel would be perfect if it was renovated (new carpet, air conditioner and new furniture, flat screen tv). The air conditioner unit was so noisy, it sounded like a loud engine running.

i love the fact that you get your self a good night close to the Beach the price is worth specially if you like the beach

i didn't like the fact that not enough restaurant's options also the hotel is Great but can use some renovation on the outside premises little rusty.

The king size bed was very comfortable, the jacuzzi tub in the room was clean and lovely. The 'partial ocean view' was better than expected. With the blinds open we could see the ocean from bed. We checked in at night and couldn't tell, but when we opened the window in the morning it was really breathtaking. Stepping out onto the balcony was even more beautiful. We booked it for the price (a great deal on booking.com) and location- proximity to some surfing beaches and a friend's home. Definitely romantic and comfortable- just wish I had more time there!

Loved this hotel! The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the hotel itself was in the best location right on the beach. They upgraded our room for free and our view was spectacular! Overall we had an amazing experience at this hotel and will definitely be coming back!

The staff was so welcoming! We were told we had a partial ocean view room with balcony. It was an absolutely breathtaking view from our room. Even to lie on our bed with the slider open we had a full view of the ocean, saw a pod of whales and could hear the waves! The room was immaculate and the spa tub in the room was so much nicer than hotels that have spa tubs in the bathroom. We will be back soon and also tell all of our friends and family to visit your beautiful and quaint hotel!

Updated room, very comfortable bed, large bathroom & view of the ocean. Clean & Comfortable for the price~~quick commute to SF. Would stay here again.

Spacious and very clean rooms and very friendly reception in a beautifully located hotel-motel. My room was with a terrace overlooking the pacific ocean. The highway No. 1 in between is really not much of a problem. If you want to stay in the SFO area right on the pacific coast this is one of the few really good places to go. Restaurant in the hotel itself will open shortly; very good breakfast parlour ( "Kerri's Coffee shop") in the shopping arcade; several good restaurants ("La costanera", "Moss Beach distillery" and more) in about 5 - 10 mins distance on Highway 1.

The architecture of the hotel was nice, as they say, but I didn't really enjoy going up the steep hill in my stick shift. There were a lot of breakfast choices, although more protein would have been nice.

There was a lot of fanfare and ballyhoo about the hot tubs in the rooms. What wasn't said was that they were tiny. The tub was not long enough or wide enough to comfortably fit two people. In other words, it was a glorified bathtub. There were also no seats in the hot tub, so you are basically stuffed into the thing with very little room and it's very uncomfortable. It was very, very, extremely disappointing! There were fireplaces in the rooms, but they were out of service, so we were stuck with the noisy wall machine and it kept me awake when it was on. The front desk told my companion that there was a microwave and a refrigerator in every room. I found the refrigerator to be quite small for a supposedly luxurious hotel. There was also no microwave in the room - they ran out!!! I had to wait until very late on the second day to get a microwave, and that's WITH being hypoglycemic! I also got a room with a "partial ocean view." In case you're wondering, that means about three inches of "ocean view" above the next building, kind of like a partially blocked, miniature porthole. It was pretty ridiculous, and nothing that I would ever pay extra for. I got 10% off for the fireplace being out of service, but for the lack of microwave, lousy view and unusable hot tub, it should have been more like 50% off. The front desk person was talking about how my next stay would be better, and I was thinking, "Yeah, right. Like I would stay here again!"

The location of the beach was a short walk across the street from the hotel. The room was acceptable in regard to cleaniness. There is not much more to say about this hotel in regard to a relaxing stay.

The room we stayed in was on the 3rd floor and was listed as a king/spa room with a partial ocean view. The view from our window was only noticeable if you stood by the window. There was no private balcony, but we did have a fenced in roof-top where if you walked to the fence you could see the ocean more clearly. One of the staff members over- charged my credit card for one night. The manager stated that it would be cleared-up upon our arrival, but the clerk had no idea what I was talking about when I arrived. My credit card was fixed after the manager happened to be called-in due to a boiler braking. Upon entering our room we quickly realized that the bed had no blankets. Also, there were no towels of any kind available for us to freshen-up. We left the hotel at 10am on our second day, and when we returned the room had been cleaned, but again, no towels in sight. The old fashion television hosted 2 channels for our enjoyment. If there was cabel available it must have been disconnected. When checking-out and sharing our disapointment with the clerk, she said things have been crazy here and she is sorry. We are sorry that we booked with this hotel and clearly would not return.

Its one of the best hotels,I have ever stayed in.You cant beat the price for the location.Freeway close to SF.And close to stores also.
