Score from 316 reviews Excellent
Location is excellent, building is very nice and parking service is good. High ceiling and accurate design.
Checking and checkout takes a lot of time. Room we had was quite small considering the type of the hotel. Noisy (windows are not soundproof). Behind TV was very dirty as they never clean there, surprising fact.. We've chosen this hotel because of the excellent notes, but finally we were disappointed..
The bedding- it doesn't need the qilte which used in winter, now it is August. The fridge not beedefrosted. No coffee make. No free wifi. In the high yield pay, not worthy but only good location is plus.
Location is good, but the rooms are old and need renovation.
Bathroom floor was dirty
HOTEL IS LUXURIOUS; STAFF WENT OUT OF ITS WAY TO HELP AND THEN HELP SOME MORE...ROOMS WERE GORGEOUS...OVERALL A GREAT EXPERIENCE!
NOTHING...GREAT EXPERIENCE. PRICEY...BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY!
Fabulous hotel with excellent staff. Will definately stay again.
Very poor internet connection
Internet is not free
Loved this hotel very friendly and helpful staff great location to walk to anywhere from here will definitely be back
There wasn't anything I didn't like
The decor is breathtakingly beautiful. The room was spacious and charming & we loved the high ceilings and next level amenities. A dine in at the Garden Court and an ice cream sunday at Ghiradelli is a must!!!
Beautiful Palm Court dining
Room service and the quietness except for the last night. Beds and bedding were good.
Three bath towels that I put on the floor to indicate I need cleans ones were carefully placed back on the racks for re-use and all washcloths were removed. What was that about? We stayed 5 days.
The building is gorgeous and the location is perfect. We loved the architecture and the displays with the historical photos and letters.
Service at pied Piper could have been better.
The dining hall and the spa
A little bit overpriced
Rooms are not clean.
Our first visit to SanFran. Location seems pretty central to what we wanted to see. Beautiful old hotel. Bed was awesome room was very clean. Not the largest of room but plenty for the 2 of us. Nice pool. Hot tub jets didn't seem to work.
Hot tub was just hot. No jets. Parking was expensive.
beds were great. breakfast was expensive ($36) but possibly the best we had ever seen.
Room was very noisy and loud. We had a constant humming throughout the night. I was also charge twice for a one night stay and still haven't received a refund. Valet took a ling time to get our car. There were many people waiting for their car.
This is a beautiful old-world hotel, and would normally be out of our price-range. But we found a great last-minute rate here on booking.com. Upon entering the hotel, one is stunned by the beauty of the spacious Garden Court atrium with its chandeliers and beaux arts charms. Our room was perfect; high ceiling, comfortable king-size bed, beautiful bathroom with lovely bath products and amenities. Our room was right next to the pool with its glass roof and sauna, so it was very handy. We faced a small street in the back, and there was no problem with noise at all.
Pool water was a little too cool. Bath towels were a bit threadbare; I would expect some higher-end fluffy towels in a lovely hotel like this.
The lobby is very grand. The breakfast buffet was outstanding.
It took forever to check in - long line, only three desk clerks handling what seemed to be problem check-ins so the line didn't move. I think wireless internet should be free in all hotels so I objected to paying here to use the internet.
The lobby is exquisite. The location is perfect and it provides a warm homebase for exploring the city. My room was beautiful with high ceilings and an elegant bathroom. The bedding was luxuriously soft. I hope you will treat yourself to this hotel...you deserve it.
There was a constant hum in the room that got quite annoying, like a boiler or some old piping.
Breakfast buffet was excellent if you get coupons for it with your stay
Room was not ready at checkin time
Beds Lobby Location Pool/sauna
Parking $60/night Hot tub didn't bubble Expensive
The pool with complementary apples and coffee. The amount of complementary bathroom utilities they have everything from the basic soaps to face wash, sewing kits and Q-tips.
when you check in at the hotel the front desk asks for a $100 deposit fee (via credit card) or a $200 (via cash). in case you buy a movie or order room service etc... Also room do not come with a coffee maker you have to call and request one ahead of time and that's if they have available.
Excellent location and glamorous style
Rooms a bit small
Excellent location. Expensive but a good experience. Nice pool.
Car parking charges are outrageous! Rooms also quite noisy considering it's meant to be a luxury hotel.
