The hotel is in a great location and feels like a little retreat. The staff were so helpful , welcoming and friendly. The bed was super comfortable and the decor was really cool and the room had everything we needed. The food at The Hart and The Hunter was excellent.
The only problem we had was that the shower drained away slow and the heating was too high our first night but the staff helped with that the next day.
Loved the staff, particularly the night shift staff. Super friendly and helpful. Great location as well.
Room was a bit stuffy and warm because it was centralized heating so couldn't control the room temperature at all. Wifi had poor connection, but main problem for us was the heat.
The room itself is quite nice,..very very spacious. Nice TV on a swivel, etc...Very very Clean, etc..The Restarant is 'ok'...A tad 'pricey' for small servings..
I asked for a 'Handicap' user Room. They put me here, in this 2nd Hotel because of this. When I checked in;my Room was waaaay to HOT...& No ONE could get it to 'cdcool' down...Possibly a thermostat prob...who knows. So, they moved me net door. This was NOT a handicap-accessible room. So, the Shower had NO Seat, etc. for me to use. The 1st room DID have a handicap-user-friendly Shower...I unfortunately NEVER got to use it. Seems once they moved me, they 'forgot I requested this. I also did NOT care for the incessant early morning Garbage pick-up Trucks...Appeared that they had ALOT of Garbage, & 'horn' backing-up beep beep beep,etc...This was nearly EVERY Morning.
No coffee in room, lack of facilities. Expensive for what you get.
Close to where I need to be when I visit West Hollywood. Very funky vibe and interesting decor that I love. Plenty of restaurants and take out nearby, including a very good deli next door, and one of West Hollywood's finest new restaruants in the hotel itself. Great black out curtains for late sleepers. I didn't find the traffic noise on Melrose to be any problem.
The rooms are a bit pricy, but it is walking distance to my son's apt. the Grove, and many other great places to shop and visit. I only wish the restaurant put out free coffee in the mornings. I wish I could control room temperature, however the staff is very helpful if you are uncomfortable.
Aircon centralised - too cold at times no control
The whole vibe was amazing. I loved the decor and the staff were friendly and quick to respond to every need
Nothing. I want to stay again
If you fancy dropping a bit more cash than a holiday inn, then what you get for that little extra with the Palihotel, is staggering. Slick sense of style, very astute staff, a great restaurant in the lobby and excellent beds. What more can I say, value for money. I'll be back.
We were greeted warmly and assisted with an early check-in
couldn't control a/c in room
I put in request for feather pillows and housekeeping had the pillows in my room when I returned a few hours later.
The washroom lights could be much brighter. Found them too dark.
The small "boutiqueness" of the hotel, the staff we're lovely and helpful. Coffee shop is fantastic as was the food. Parking was very convenient Decor was very cool
Being close to the public toilet and stair case, could hear every time the toilet was flushed and people thudding up and down the stairs, also people having conversations in the courtyard. Also the twin beds were described as oversize, they are tiny, definitely not what the pictures show on the internet. Would prefer to be able to control the temp of the aircon in the room.
Very friendly and helpful staff who did everything to help track my baggage when it did not arrive on the plane. Guests given mobile phones which are free to use anywhere in the US. A very refreshing shower. The best complimentary coffee on Mondays (when the restaurant is closed) Location.
Room was too small for 2 teenagers and 1 adult. A very dark and depressing décor. Room was too hot.
Design Location Inspiration
Noise - can hear neighbors & neighborhood No in-room climate control (?) Wifi - just ok
Location was great, cool looking vintage decor. Comfortable beds, helpful at the front desk.
Room was very dark and had no drawers and no closet. The vintage lighting didn't help much with the darkness from the walls and carpet. No temp controls in the room - overpriced for the size of room and lack of amenities.
Vintage vibe, nice staff, cute coffee bar.
Lighting and the wall color is terrible in the bathroom. We reserved a room for 3 people. There were no linens provided for the fold down sofa. For the fold down sofa to be comfortable it needs a portable foam or featherbed topper to add to it. No phone in the room to access the front desk. The coffee shop did not open until 11:00 on Sunday and was totally closed on Monday
I liked the location. I liked the staff and the ambiance of the hotel.
I did not like that I was unable to control the temperature of my room. I did not like that I did not have any closet space for my clothes. I did not like the size of the bathroom, which left no room for my to place my toiletry bag or items. I did not like the parking and lack of security. I arrived at midnight and it did not feel safe to come from the parking area outside of a hotel entrance. My door was also not working when I arrived. It did not lock. However, the maintenance addressed it immediately.
Angel 21 years old front desk young man with sparkling eyes ...
No bar close by
good decor Front desk personnel nice
very bad housekeeping manners and training Horrible views If you pay extra to have a balcony it's overlooking dumpster in the back of the building no light in bathrooms ... forget about shaving under those dimmed lights... Hotel shares space with restaurant but restaurant does not service hotel hard to believe? front desk recommends outside delivery service
Value for money, bad wifi
Loved the eclectic style of the hotel. It had the best shower I have had in a long while in a hotel. Fabulous water pressure! The location was perfect for West Hollywood.
a bit noisey - room walls were very thin and I could hear everything in the other rooms plus the hallways
loved the uniqueness! definitely a "boutique" hotel and fun to stay at, just wish we had more time to rent their bikes and tour the city!
lighting in the room was limited
Loccation . Confort
No coffee morning No coffee machine No internet at room . They sell it, but doesn't work .
Location, close to everything .
It was noisy!
Service & location.Good restaurant.
No air conditioning. As a result, the vintage furniture smelled liked my grandma's house in the dank room. No closet, no iron/board. View of small alleyway with constant foot and vehicle traffic at all hours. Had to leave windows open, due to lack of A/C, so people literally stood outside of our room talking/smoking. Awoke at 6am to garbage truck. Had to argue with management about allowing us to leave early to go to another hotel. Would NEVER stay there again.
the personnel is so nice and helpful; n i like the design of it
there're strange electronic sounds in the room; not very convenient to the attractions (apparently Los Angeles is such a big city without well-equiped public transportation)
