I put in request for feather pillows and housekeeping had the pillows in my room when I returned a few hours later.
The washroom lights could be much brighter. Found them too dark.
The small "boutiqueness" of the hotel, the staff we're lovely and helpful. Coffee shop is fantastic as was the food. Parking was very convenient Decor was very cool
Being close to the public toilet and stair case, could hear every time the toilet was flushed and people thudding up and down the stairs, also people having conversations in the courtyard. Also the twin beds were described as oversize, they are tiny, definitely not what the pictures show on the internet. Would prefer to be able to control the temp of the aircon in the room.
Design Location Inspiration
Noise - can hear neighbors & neighborhood No in-room climate control (?) Wifi - just ok
Location was great, cool looking vintage decor. Comfortable beds, helpful at the front desk.
Room was very dark and had no drawers and no closet. The vintage lighting didn't help much with the darkness from the walls and carpet. No temp controls in the room - overpriced for the size of room and lack of amenities.
I liked the location. I liked the staff and the ambiance of the hotel.
I did not like that I was unable to control the temperature of my room. I did not like that I did not have any closet space for my clothes. I did not like the size of the bathroom, which left no room for my to place my toiletry bag or items. I did not like the parking and lack of security. I arrived at midnight and it did not feel safe to come from the parking area outside of a hotel entrance. My door was also not working when I arrived. It did not lock. However, the maintenance addressed it immediately.
Angel 21 years old front desk young man with sparkling eyes ...
No bar close by
good decor Front desk personnel nice
very bad housekeeping manners and training Horrible views If you pay extra to have a balcony it's overlooking dumpster in the back of the building no light in bathrooms ... forget about shaving under those dimmed lights... Hotel shares space with restaurant but restaurant does not service hotel hard to believe? front desk recommends outside delivery service
Value for money, bad wifi
Loved the eclectic style of the hotel. It had the best shower I have had in a long while in a hotel. Fabulous water pressure! The location was perfect for West Hollywood.
a bit noisey - room walls were very thin and I could hear everything in the other rooms plus the hallways
loved the uniqueness! definitely a "boutique" hotel and fun to stay at, just wish we had more time to rent their bikes and tour the city!
lighting in the room was limited
Loccation . Confort
No coffee morning No coffee machine No internet at room . They sell it, but doesn't work .
Location, close to everything .
It was noisy!
Service & location.Good restaurant.
No air conditioning. As a result, the vintage furniture smelled liked my grandma's house in the dank room. No closet, no iron/board. View of small alleyway with constant foot and vehicle traffic at all hours. Had to leave windows open, due to lack of A/C, so people literally stood outside of our room talking/smoking. Awoke at 6am to garbage truck. Had to argue with management about allowing us to leave early to go to another hotel. Would NEVER stay there again.
the personnel is so nice and helpful; n i like the design of it
there're strange electronic sounds in the room; not very convenient to the attractions (apparently Los Angeles is such a big city without well-equiped public transportation)
Like an upstairs guest room in a Wes Anderson beach house.
A bit cold in the room.
Dark rooms, small windows
Excellent staff help with suggesting Uber, great restaurant recommendations & amazing location. Also Thai thai massage was exceptional.
Not being able to regulate the room temperature ourselves & the bathroom could have been more ventilated.
The hotel look is unusual
Always dropping and unstable and unreliable wifi... There were no cases, cabinets or cupboards to store your clothes etc.
Nothing at all
Everything. I booked a room through booking.com and they had none left. Once I arrived.
This was a charming little hotel with a great location on Melrose. The room and the lobby were very nicely decorated with attention to detail. There were travel themed books all around which was a nice detail. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
It was quite cold when I stayed there and there were no AC controls in the room so I had to call the reception every day asking them to turn the heat up, which I had to do from my international cell-phone because there are no phones in the rooms. The wifi reception was quite bad, and the restaurant disappointing.
Charming rooms, smartly decorated, comfortable all around. I look forward to returning.
Very friendly staff. Clean. Loved the modern design.
Didn't like that parking cost extra. A bit dark in hallways. Also, no temperature control in room.
The worst hotel experience ever been. It was very noisy until midnight from so-called ‘the hippiest restaurant’ and the room was very very tiny and so dark. even the room dosen't have a wine glass &opener, when I asked those, the front desk guy said like “use a water glass!” “Ask to restaurant” That was all and I could't get Those.(the restaurant said hotel things are not our business....blah blah..) No basic things at all. Maybe, this hotel tried to being like ‘ace hotel’kinda place but totally failed. boutique hotel? shame. :-( 정말 별로입니다. 너무 시끄럽고 기본적인게 없는 호텔이에요. 번지르르한 포장지에 속지마세요.
Great location and very visually appealing design. Friendly and helpful staff. Great maid service.
Climate control is central and not individual to rooms. This was a day time issue when the sun beat into our room. No coffee / tea en suite.
Easy to walk everywhere I wanted. Very friendly and helpful staff. Well stocked mini bar. a sundry store right across the street, a cafe with lots of neat stuff next door, and an amazing new restaurant attached to hotel. Able to order take out from there when it was open. Also they put out free coffee...The food was to die for. Occasional celeb sighting there (restaurant) also, if that's your thing. Really adorable rustic design with a charmingly different decor. Very unique and nothing like your normal chain hotels. I'd go back in a NY minute, but ask about the weird smell in the bathroom. The shower made up for it though! Think waterfall, with endless hot water.
The bathroom smelled funny all the time. Needed more soft lighting in the room, it was harsh, and sparse. Room was plenty large but no closet. They had adequate space to hang clothing tho...If you're looking for funky boutique, this is your place, if you're looking for opulence, it's not, but the attached restaurant IS all that's best about food and ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating.
