Old bathroom room had a funny smell
very friendly, clean and comfortable, so much to do, just did not have the time.
The suite was spacious, very clean, and the view was incredible...reality not only matched but exceeded expectations from the online photos. Already planning a return during spring to hike/bike in the Green Mountains right out the back door.
Great place -- large rooms - close to town and restaurants
Loved the jacuzzi in the room. Gas log fireplace was fantastic. Suite was very nice!
Friendly staff, nicely appointed, spacious room. Plenty of room to stretch out. Good desk/working area.
There really is nothing to dislike in Manchester or the Palmer House. Palmer House is near all the attractions in Manchester and delightful place to stay.
Manchester is always a fun time but being at the Palmer House made the time even more enjoyable. Being a Master Plumber and being in the field for some thirty years, the Palmer House had me when I entered the bathroom and saw the one piece low flow Kohler toilet. The owners have spared no expense to make our visit first rate.
The only knock on the entire trip was our service experience at the Ye Olde Tavern. Food was great ($$$) which was fine for New Years but was ruined by a waitress looking to end her night early.
Staff (Aimee) was great and very helpful, the town of Manchester is fantastic, and the pubs, shopping, and skiing at Stratton Mountain all exceeded expectations.
Slow, spotty WiFi. Needs better breakfast offerings.
Low price, large room, nice bathroom.
WiFi was restricted to email and light web surfing.
Suite we booked had a great view of the mountains and a small lake behind the property. Cozy gas fireplace and jetted tub were nice perks. I would definitely stay here again.
The room was very nice and loved having the big bath tub and fireplace. We enjoyed using the indoor lap pool and the location near Manchester. The staff was very friendly and gave us excellent recommendations from the start.
The Bed! Hard as a board.
My time was limited, but my friend Dottie was willing to take a quick trip, as we have done before and we were not disappointed. As of 11/21/14, I am a resident of FL, but when I do visit CT, I will hope to get to VT as always.
We asked for a view of the mountains and wre lucky enough to have a room in the cottage on the back end of the property - very comfortable, rocking chair deck out front
One employee was quite rude to to us when we checked in but everyone else was great...the beds were way too firm for us ended up sleeping on couch because back hurt too bad to lay in bed
The grounds were amazing and the room was beautiful...the view from the room was breath taking
Bed mattress very poor!
There was a slight problem with the heat but I got enough to get comfortable without calling the front desk. If it was the dead of winter, it may not have been warm enough.
Location, facilities and staff. Well run and maintained. Very clean.
The facility and staff are perfect for an overnight or extended stay at Manchester, VT.
Great location friendly people very clean
Nothing really. It was all fine
Style, grounds, location
WIFI was a little weak but this was a very minor point.
Upon arrival we had an upgrade to a suit the extra cost was well worth it. We over looked the pond and the suit was great very clean. With great facilities we had a very relaxing stay and the location could not be better walking distance to town with the feel of the countryside. I would be happy to recommend Palmer House to all my friends and family.
the proximity to Manchester: you can walk the pool and par three golf course
The only circumstance that wasn't to our liking was the 96 degree constant temperature of the indoor pool area. It negated our use of it since it was far too high for our liking.
We stayed two nights in April. We were booked for one night, but after seeing our suite with its tranquil, relaxing setting; we asked and we were able to stay another night. Another contributing factor for our stay was that we were able to secure a discounted rate online. We had a most delightful, restful stay.
Too much clorine in the hot tub. They have cameras in which my friends and I were watched and repeatedly asked how many were in our party after we had already checked in. The feeling of being watched was very uncomfortable and that they did not trust us. Staff caused a big problem by charging us more money because they assumed there was one more person in our party and did not believe they were not staying with us. Beds were not comfortable either, very stiff. Was a nice stay other than the fact that we were being watched and monitored.
Room was nice. Pool and hot tub were convenient. Convenient location to mountain and shopping
motor lodge-esque environment misleading impression of sauna area
bed closeness to town amenities
