The staff was excellent. They went out of their way to assist when asked. The bar and gaming staff were friendly. The walls to our room was little thin. We could hear the intimate conversation details of the couple next door.

I was very disapointment on the hotle. The media protrays the Palms to be a well casino and place to stay. This is not the case I was not too happy on the casino and the hotel. Not worth the money at all....

For the money, I was amazed how wonderful the room is at the Palms Place. I did not care for the long hike from the check-in to the room.

The room service staff was great. Prompt, very nice. It took forever to check in even though there were very few people in line, and the check in seems to be right in the middle of the casino which was annoying.

Everything costs and many of the staff were difficult to deal with and unapologetic. Cleaning staff was very deceptive and did not respect our privacy.

I liked the clubs and lounges that the hotel had to offer. The pool party on Friday was also fun. Palms has a rating of 4 stars and I believe this to be grossly overstated. This was a 3 star hotel at best but I would more accurately rate it at 2.5 stars. I suppose I bought into all the hype about this being a great hotel to stay at for a younger more party oriented vibe and seeing as though I was planning a bachelor party I decided to book this hotel. This was a big mistake Palms is not a good value for what you get. I paid an average of 250 a night and I feel this was way too high for what this hotel offers. First off check in was a pain and I was informed that the beverage credit I was supposed to recieve would not be avaliable. The receptionist was also quite short with me and didn't seem very interested in addressing my concerns. When we got into our rooms we were very disappointed. This is supposed to be a Vegas 4 star hotel. The room was very plain dimly lit and full of early 90's wood grained furniture that you would find on old episodes of full house. There wasn't even a flat screen In the room just an ancient crt tv. The rooms at a holiday in express are more modern. The bathrooms though clean were in dire need of refreshing. The grout between the tiles were gone and the shower heads had no water pressure whatsoever. As far as the service was concerned I was very disappointed. There never seemed to be anyone avaliable at the front desk when you would call down, and in the rare event you did get someone on the phone it usually took multiple requests to have the simplest of things done. I had to call 3 times to get a roll away bed brought into my room. It took 2 hours from the time I placed the first call. The hotel also charges for access to their work out facilities which I found extremely annoying. I was terribly disappointed with my stay at the palms. Though my room was clean it was very basic and not indicative of what I've come to expect from 4 stars especially in a town like Vegas. I'm sorry Maloof brothers I will not be back to the palms.

Quality of room service was good (but the first server didn't advise like the others that there was already a room service fee and gratuity included so I shouldn't add again). Nightclubs are good, the Pearl Concert Theatre is good. Restaurants are ok, pool area and cabanas are good (but they again don't advise you that the $500 fee is not a rental fee but goes towards your tab which must run up to $500). The casino and rooms and overall service is pretty poor and location off the strip is not as much fun. Room was in poor condition (plumbing not working properly, lightbulbs burned out, carpet dirty, sheets torn). There was no bellcaptain/service to greet you and help you unload, staff did not explain services or what fees did and didn't cover, casino personnel had forgotten how to smile and have a good time. Staff for maintenance and housekeeping either didn't respond or were very slow to respond. Overall underwhelmed by the staff attitudes - I am used to vegas being super friendly and fun. This casino missed the mark on both counts. We did 99% of our gambling at other places than the Palms. Also lots of line ups for clubs and pool etc that were poorly marked and blocked access to elevators for rooms as well and line up for front desk was across aisle in the casino area and completely unmarked. Overall not at all impressed - expected better for the price and will not retun.

The gentleman who checked us in was great. He was very nice and helpful. The resturants in the hotel were great, and loved the drink vouchers. The room was a "strip" view room. They told us there was going to be a "party" at the pool. They didnt tell us it was actually a rave and the music was so loud it shook our room. There was mold in our bathroom sink Im assuming that was from a leaky sink. The mold could have been an easy clean but Im assuming the cleaning crew didnt want to clean more than necessary. (Dont worry I wipe the mold off the sink with a tissue for you guys ;) ) The bathtup faucet was detached from the wall, the plumbing made loud noises anytime we flushed or showered. The music from Rain nightclub was very loud in our room as well. All and all I wouldnt stay there again.

The maid service left something to be desired. The floor did not get vacuumed and only two towels and no sundries were in the bathroom. Not the usual I would expect from an upper end hotel.

That it was in Vegas. That it was off of the strip and cost $30 a day in cab rides to the strip. Also not being able to use the pool because the hotel was hosting MTV spring break and you had to get on a list to use it. My wife and I found this very inconvenient trying to use the pool whenever we had a free moment to enjoy the pool. We felt that somebody should have warned us before we went not after we checked in and had to ask. We also believed that we were staying in the Playboy hotel when in fact it was just the regular palms.
