It was ok
I experienced many bug bites (bed bug or spider? ) after our one night stay there. I had a total of 10-11 bites on my arms neck and jaw which I would assume where from bed bugs. It has taken over a week for them to disappear.
* Clean , comfortable bed, * WI- FI * Location
* When first entered in the room , smelled like cleaning supplies...later when got used to that air , it was ok. * They advertise , that they serve breakfast every day , but in reality it is a coffee maker in room, with coffee and Lipton tee packs + granola bar + plus a prepacked Svenhard's pastry that can stay "fresh "prob month ... * Rooms feel old and outdated
The first room we were given was very small and cramped. The worst was it smelled bad. Perhaps a pet had had an accident. The owners did move us readily after we complained to a much larger nicer room which was clean. The hot water was erratic. During the evening it was only tepid. I would not stay there again.
Desk person was very plesant & helpful. Beds, bed linen & pillows need replaced dreadfully bad.
Beds, linens & pillows need replaced dreadfully!!!! Would probably stay else where for additional costs instead of staying here. Stanford patients need decent accommodations. Stanford list of hotels show complimentary breakfast...no breakfast was available!!
It was a comfortable bed and seemed to be clean and smoke free
Was told there was a continental breakfast in the room. I do not consider 2 bottles of water,2 small cartons of fruit punch,2 soft bars one package of cookies and cracker mix a continental breakfast it was a snack bar. For the price paid not ok,had to go to outside facility to feed my grandchild.
Loved the upgraded bathroom Customer service excellence Cleanliness Wifi Generosity in amenities!
Heat unit Security chain in our room had been kicked in previously...the door was not secure at all.
breakfast, surrounding, bed, etc
Room was clean, good amenities and convenient location to hospital.
You're paying hotel prices for motel quality.
The rooms were comfortable, clean and updated with newer amenities.
Don't let the outside fool you. It looks a little outdated from the outside but the staff was nice and so was my stay. One complaint: The walls are very thin. I had to turn up my tv to drown out the noise from my neighbors tvs. A little unnerving to listen to your own tv pretty loud at the same time you are trying to unwind and sleep.
No truck parking
Comfy bed The grounds are well kept and pretty.
Convenience to Palo Alto.
We signed up for and paid for a King size bed. We received a bed that was just a bit wider than a double (56", I measured). We did not complain to the woman at the desk, as she had said it was the only room available. We probably will not go back.
It was convenient to the Palo Alto VA. The price is quiet a bit less than other hotels around. It's clean.
The weather was cold and rainy. The heater in the room didn't work so I went to office and got another that worked. It was still cold in the room. The breakfast is box juice, and wrapped Danishes in the room. Fresh Fruit, yogurt, or oatmeal packets would have been better. The walls are very thin....you can hear your neighbors talking.
Quiet and spacious room, windows opened. Thoughtful selection of in room amenities included....popcorn, coffee with real half and half, mugs and travel cups, cocoa, cereal bars, bottled water. Lovely grounds....tall trees, flowers, outside sitting area with swinging seats. Friendly and helpful staff. Free parking. Location is a straight shot driving to Stanford campus (10-20 min depending on traffic). Whole Foods and other stores and restaurants close by.
free snacks and bottled water in the room. Nice!!! would re-book for this reason alone
no free breakfast
Tub drain was slow, room had a funny smell, bathroom needed a vent
NOT a thing
gave away my room even with booking.1 bed booking was for 2
Good bed and upgraded bath Location
No warm welcome from staff...very cool reception. Heat and A.C. control not user friendly...overly complex Difficult to find staff upon arrival. Spray odor in room.
Very clean, comfortable beds, convenient to restaurants
Clean and quiet. Lots of restruants and location was good.
Location and QUIET - close to Stanford Hospital
They were "out" of King Beds, so was given a queen!
I would assume we were put in room #109 because we have a six pound dog that travel's with us. The room was like being in a dungeon. No view, one window that has a storage looking building about three feet from that one window. Guests above our room sounded like any minute they'd come through the ceiling.Clearly could here them urinating and flushing the toilet as if they were in our room and not above us. Rusted nasty blind in bathroom, Hair dryer was coated in God knows what. Lousy old window mounted type heater cut into the wall.Pretty much worthless and loud. Continental breakfast was a variety of cheap junk food in the room ONLY. Ridiculous set up for coffee maker. The power cord was so tight we were unable to move it to put water in it.Over $300 for 2 nights in a hole. Nope ! never again
