    Loved the location. The staff was great. We enjoyed cocktail hour.

    Mattress could have been more comfortable and supportive.

    Quiet, relaxing, clean, tidy, modern, bright, location

    Elevator situation is not good. They are slow and always jammed with people. Too few elevators for such a large hotel.

    Great location. Walkable to everywhere. Staff super friendly. 5pm free drink and pizza a hit. Also the 17rh floor pool and terrace.

    - Location, just next to the Grand station on Red line - Complimentary coffee in the morning - Room is new and well decorated - The hotel provides necessary amenities. They even provide a yoga mat!

    - No refrigerator in the room

    The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was large and comfortable, with a nice view on the 16th floor. There was free coffee in the lobby in the morning and a happy hour every evening. There is a great terrace on the 17th floor with nice city views.

    We had a room with an adjoining door, and it was very easy to hear the people in the next room.

    Relatively new furnishings and decor.

    I was a little disappointed with the service, have been treated better at Holiday, was expecting a higher level of service. Rooms were kind of small.

    They gave us a room in the 16th floor; it was quiet, with very nice views; the staff was very polite and the location was perfect

    Location is great and friendly staff

    Hotel is not very well isolated and noise from the street can be heard from 6.00am. Staff is friendly but answer for a same question can be very different between one or the other. Attention European travellers, city taxe and state taxe are huge and check out pricing is far away from what was expected.

    This hotel has a "caring" attitude. Like the fact they have water with lemon handy at reception area for guests coming in from a hard day of shopping and other activities. The complimentary wine at 5 p.m. Is something to look forward to and enables guests a social time. The Special BIB code giving $50 credit per room for breakfast every morning and the $10 "Raid the Bar" are very much appreciated. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Having the pool with the sunning area on the 17th (top) floor is ingenious and guests can enjoy the view of Chicago skyline while swimming and tanning. Having charging centers and complimentary umbrella is also great. Overall, we would come back. Location is the best.

    I didn't like that they did not have complimentary bottled water in rooms and there were no prices for,items in the locked bar.

    Sable eating downstairs. Amazing location. Staff was next-level accommodating.

    Room was a bit too open and felt spread apart. Could have had it be half the size and more effective IMO.

    Great hotel, great staff, great location. As a frequent visitor of Chicago, I like to stay in River North, and this is probably one of the nicer hotels in River North without spending a fortune close to The Mile. The Palomar is on the same block as the Grand Red Line 'L' station which will take you to the Loop, or North to catch Wrigleyville or catch the Brown line to Lincoln Park. There are also several restaurants and bars within a couple blocks walking distance, moreso than the Loop - so the nightlife is hopping on the weekends. However, it isn't terribly loud. Only a couple blocks from Magnificent Mile if you need to indulge in shopping. I typically stay at Kimpton Hotels due to the atmosphere, cleanliness, and staff. The rooms are nice and a fair size for being in downtown Chicago. Kimpton staff are always polite, and treat all their customers kindly and directly.

    The elevators are SLOW, and super slow during "rush-hour". If you're staying on business, leave your room about 5 minutes early to account for the chance of possible elevator delay.

    The bathroom. The bed.

    Noisy restaurant Poor breakfast selection --- no whole grain breads for example Staff gave poor advice as to Ohare travel time and were not helpful regarding restaurants options

    Very professional staff, excellent location close to everything. Fantastic restaurant Sable that also does the room service food. Brilliant Hamburger, try it. They also have loaner bicycles.

    Great location in the heart of downtown Chicago, just a few minutes from the train and the shopping. Fantastic restaurant (Sable) with delicious brunch options.

    Check in took almost 20 minutes because the hotel's systems were down. This was highly unprofressional and inconvenient after our 20 hour flight from Australia and delayed us by 20 minutes for my brother's graduation dinner. Room keys kept getting deactivated despite keeping them separate from phone. No luggage racks in room. No doorman, bellhop or help with bags.

    The location to the Merchandise Mart was perfect - just far enough away to be in a great neighborhood but close enough to walk to the Mart. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were very nicely appointed!

    I believe the mattresses are too soft....my business partner mentioned the same thing about her room.

    I would have given this hotel an overall very good if the option was available. Every hotel in downtown Chicago is expensive so this one seemed like a good value. A few details were lacking, nothing too important but it's very clean and close to everything toward the north end of Michigan Ave. Sable restaurant (in hotel) very good, had 2 meals there!

    Little things i.e. no shower cap, coffee in am started a bit late, parking so expensive.

    The location is excellent. Within walking distance of many major attractions. Nice decoration, nice views, quiet hotel.

    Nearby fire station. Heard them at least once per night, in the middle of the night. Very loud. Duvet on bed much too warm for spring.

    The staff was the sweetest and helpful.Ben at the front desk really took good care of us.The gym was so nice. We were glad it was opened 24 hours and I got special consideration when I got there too early for coffee, the staff had some brought to me, specially.

    Kimpton club member didn't receive his daily paper until Friday. He missed 4 days of the news. The sun deck on the 17th floor could use a little shade.

    Lovely room, great location. Fantastic accommodating staff.

    Really could do with a changing room and showers near the pool/gym so you could use both facilities. If you wanted to use the pool, you had to go back to the room to change out of gym clothes then go back up. Also coffee making facility in the room would be great. $14 for room service for 2 hot drinks in the morning was very expensive on top of the expensive room charge. Would forego nibbles and wine hour for this!
