Limited choice re food and beverage; items on menus routinely missing.
the heater in the room is very noisy
Location great. Pool great but a bit small. Restaurant wonderful.
Even though I was on the 15th floor-still a bit noisy.
Helpful staff, contemporary design, well appointed room, nice wine hour, excellent location right next to red line L. Pool is small but nice, with floor to ceiling glass walls that provide good city views.
Everything was great, no complaints!
Needs better Parking
The view from the hotel room was brilliant, we could see a great deal of Chicago city with the lights all lit up at night. I had requested an upper room and this is exactly what we got. The comfort and cleanliness of the room was great. I had no trouble sleeping. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel location was central. We were two blocks from the magnificent mile. Very little walking involved. The staff were very friendly and helpful and pointed out sites that we should see and also parades that were on for the week. There was free wifi which was great, and also complimentary wine. There was a lovely view from the rooftop on floor 17 with a swimming pool. I had a very relaxed and enjoyable stay here and would recommend it to anyone.
There was nothing that I can think of.
I recently stayed at the Palomar for a trade show. From the moment I was greeted at reception to the time I checked out (7days) I was extremely well looked after. Definitely recommend and I will be back to this and other Kimpton hotels
A little bit pricey
Good location to nearby restaurants and shopping. 5-10min walk to Magnificant Mile shopping. Hotel staff were very professional & friendly. Lots of power plugs access - very convenient. Wifi was free as I joined as Kimpton Kamra member. Very nice lounge area at lobby.
Paying for wifi, especially as I had several devices to connect
Location Deco/style Room size Pool
Noise from outside Lack of coffee/tea + kettle in room Price
good service, good location
All staff Room Free coffee/ morning Afternoon wine Location
Restaurant /morning breakfast buffet/ too expensive Fire house close by/ lots of sirens day and night
Everything. We've been to Chicago every year for the last 25 years and we think Palomar Chicago was the best. Very comfortable, staff was excellent.
No coffee maker in room, but they serve coffee in room adjacent to lobby. Not a fan of the restaurant Not the best view
Loved the location. The staff was great. We enjoyed cocktail hour.
Mattress could have been more comfortable and supportive.
Very nice personnel: very helpfull In the center of Chicago: is very close to the main streets and in general close to everything Clean and confortable
Air conditioning too high
Quiet, relaxing, clean, tidy, modern, bright, location
Elevator situation is not good. They are slow and always jammed with people. Too few elevators for such a large hotel.
The location is perfect, nothing to dislike. Everything was outstanding and I would chose again if I come back to Chicago.
Great location. Walkable to everywhere. Staff super friendly. 5pm free drink and pizza a hit. Also the 17rh floor pool and terrace.
Not a lot.
- Location, just next to the Grand station on Red line - Complimentary coffee in the morning - Room is new and well decorated - The hotel provides necessary amenities. They even provide a yoga mat!
- No refrigerator in the room
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was large and comfortable, with a nice view on the 16th floor. There was free coffee in the lobby in the morning and a happy hour every evening. There is a great terrace on the 17th floor with nice city views.
We had a room with an adjoining door, and it was very easy to hear the people in the next room.
Relatively new furnishings and decor.
I was a little disappointed with the service, have been treated better at Holiday, was expecting a higher level of service. Rooms were kind of small.
They gave us a room in the 16th floor; it was quiet, with very nice views; the staff was very polite and the location was perfect
Location is great and friendly staff
Hotel is not very well isolated and noise from the street can be heard from 6.00am. Staff is friendly but answer for a same question can be very different between one or the other. Attention European travellers, city taxe and state taxe are huge and check out pricing is far away from what was expected.
This hotel has a "caring" attitude. Like the fact they have water with lemon handy at reception area for guests coming in from a hard day of shopping and other activities. The complimentary wine at 5 p.m. Is something to look forward to and enables guests a social time. The Special BIB code giving $50 credit per room for breakfast every morning and the $10 "Raid the Bar" are very much appreciated. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Having the pool with the sunning area on the 17th (top) floor is ingenious and guests can enjoy the view of Chicago skyline while swimming and tanning. Having charging centers and complimentary umbrella is also great. Overall, we would come back. Location is the best.
I didn't like that they did not have complimentary bottled water in rooms and there were no prices for, items in the locked bar.
