Very friendly staff
No self parking small room no coffee maker in the room
It was modern yet quaint
I complained that I didn't have hot water and they replaced the shower head, it didn't fix the hot water problem but I'm not the type to keep complaining. Also, they use the card keys, my friends had a separate room and both their keys were deactivated during the day and my card key was deactivated as well later the same day. When I get back to my room at midnight and it doesn't work, the last thing I want to do is wait 15 minutes to have it reactivated while other people are checking in because there is only one employee working.
Location and vibe
had the chance for free wifi, system was down their page said for a day, we stayed longer than that day and the page was still down
I like how hep and modern all the properties are.
The parking fee is ridiculous. Way to expensive.
Staff was excellent
Some of the amenities that attracted us about hotel were closed or unavailable
Room service didn't seem to go through
The staff is super nice.
The price for parking
Good location in the Gaslamp District, which is a nice area with a lot of nice restaurants and bars. Small but decent gym and a heated roof pool at the forth floor.
Cleaning was sometimes late and not done as thoroughly as you should expect. Inefficient and very poor soundproofing between rooms and towards the corridor.
As Australian tourists, we look for KIMPTON Hotels when we visit USA cities. We enjoyed our stay with you, love the contemporary decor, the Happy Hour drinks and helpful staff.
Entry door of the hotel was awesome
NOISY BAR BELOW
The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the free wine tasting each evening was great and it is in a very good location. Our room was nice and quiet with a very comfy bed.
There was nothing I didn't like.
fantastic views of the city from the upper floors. very helpful staff. an enjoyable stay all round.
perhaps at a hotel of this standard free wifi would have been appreciated and maybe a complimentary bottle of water.
The bathroom door is...well, not really a door, which is hardly romantic.
Beds were very comfortable room was very clean
It took a long time for room service to bring anything to your room in fact they forgot about me for about 2 hours until I called them and reminded them, it was only ice but they still made me wait :(
The room was comfortable and there was clean with large bathroom.
The hotel felt very empty and considering this they decided to put a noisy group in the room that joined ours. Also due to the time of year the selling point there roof top at was more or less closed. This should be make clearer on information.
Room was clean.
It was my understanding parking for hotel guest was $12 a day not the $40 a day I was charged. No ice in rooms or hallway.
The hotel itself is beautiful - great decor, cool vibe. I had a wonderful massage at the spa. When we could get through to room service, the food arrived promptly and was delicious.
We stayed on Halloween and were surrounded by a block of rooms that were solely reserved for partying. The hallway outside our room had garbage on the floor and the smell of tobacco and marijuana smoke was pretty bad. People were slamming doors and making a racket until 6 am when they finally passed out. I did mention this to the staff the next morning and was offered an apology. The next night was fine, once the partiers were gone.
Friendly staff, clean and trendy reception, bar and restaurant. Best location!
The pool is on 4th floor and on the north side. This mean no sun during the day, also the pool bar and area around is a bit sad and not very trendy compared to the rest of the hotel.
location is excellent, in the midle of down town, next to the trolley station, near to allot of shopping too. excellent service.
no bath tube.
The hotel is first rate. All amenities were fine. The room was more than adequate in size and comfort. The staff is always friendly and welcoming when you return to the hotel. We liked the bar and the pool bar seems like fun when the weather is warmer. Location is perfect for anything you might want to see in, and around, San Diego. Easy walk to gas lamp or little Italy. Would recommend and certainly stay again.
Valet parking seems a bit steep at $40.00/night, but probably not much more than other similar hotels in the area.
Food was excellent
The decor and vibe was great from the entrance door. The bellman was super helpful upon arrival, but the valet was clueless on how to deliver a car properly every time we called for our car to leave.
The room's style was, conceptually, refined-modern-attractive, but the furniture was cheap, scuffed, sheets were low-count, the floor was scuffed, curtains were off hooks, and the room was poorly cleaned, bathroom was dingy and the windows were filthy. I couldn't believe that they had the audacity to charge the amount that they do per night. This hotel is trying to be something it is not. Pretentious and a major disappointment. Take your money elsewhere...
